My family and I had a wonderful long weekend at Joanna’s place. The location is peaceful and relaxing, yet still an easy drive into the city centre. The house was beautifully presented and spotlessly clean, clearly well cared for. It’s definitely a home we’d love to return to next time we’re in Dunedin.

Brandon Greg's place is an older style house, which is really spacious and warm. bedrooms, lounge and deck are huge. kitchen is great, and we cooked a few meals. the master bedroom is big enough for its own lounge, with 2 comfortable single chairs and a fold out couch-bed. Well suited our family of 4.

Charming, rural cottage with lovely, relaxing garden and Karitane’s beaches within walking distance. The General Store is close by for coffee, meals or groceries. The holiday house is full of colourful art and very comfortable.

We had a brilliant 3 nights over the long weekend and experienced all seasons! Arrived to storms and the house was all toasty and waiting for us. Could hear the sound of the ocean from bed and it was so nice to watch the waves roll in from the lounge. House was very well stocked and comfortable. The beach and creek are beautiful and we met a sea Lion on our strolls. Loved out stay. And Dale was very communicative, checking in on us via text during the rough weather.

I highly recommend staying at Christy’s place. It has a splendid view and state of the art amenities. We really enjoyed our time here.

We had a fabulous time staying here, close by the beach, cafes, and playground (was closed for maintenance but that couldn’t be helped!). House was warm, clean, beautiful finished inside, well stocked etc. Our kids didn’t even want to leave because of all the toys! Couldn’t really fault it! Sylvia was great at communicating and got back to us straight away! We will definitely be back next time we are down.

Such a beautiful place to stay. We watch the sunrise from our bed, swam in the sea and walked the beautiful beach. The kids had a ball and our dog fell in lovely with beach life

Very nicely renovated apartment in an heritage building . Enjoyed the spacious open plan area and spacious master bedroom. Heating underfloor in kitchen and bathroom, space heating in master bedroom and heat pump in open plan area already switched on before we arrived so we were cosy. The second bedroom was on a mezzanine space reached via a spiral staircase. Our apartment was not on the street front so was very quiet.

This home was such a fantastic find - beautiful view, setup fantastically inside, easy to check in and out. Our favourite thing about the house is the vibe the owners have created AND it is even better in real life than in the listing. We have a few trips to Dunedin planned and hope to return we had such a great stay.

We loved staying at Kota cottage! As long time visitors to Karitane it was lovely to find this newly listed cute little cottage right on the estuary ! The cottage is an old compact sized Bach but Ashlee obviously has lovely taste and has furnished and decorated it in a lovely modern style. It’s very comfortable, well organized and equipped with everything you need for an enjoyable couples or family stay. The views from the cottage are outstanding and the outdoor area is serene and surrounded by nature. We were very grateful to get to use their paddle board and kayak to go on a wee adventure across the estuary and were in easy walking distance to the beach, headland and fabulous Karitane store! We had beautiful weather but it’s just starting to get cold so we also loved being able to crank up the wood burning stove every night and get cozy. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful views and great location made this an ideal Airbnb , well suited to our group of four. It’s conveniently located near the Royal Albatross Centre, where we got great views of the Albatross community and the return of the blue penguins after dark. We also enjoyed looking at the artwork in the house.

Nikki’s place is the PERFECT getaway! We loved the space and quiet community vibe. Right by the beach and true kiwi style, keeping its charm all throughout the crib. Super toasty fire and had everything we needed. Would stay again!

Sal's place has an amazing view over Smails beach. We had a few days to watch a southerly storm go by but also saw an aurora! Sal's got great comms and it was nice to have somewhere we could take our dog. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful family holiday by the beach in Karitane and the house was great - perfect being so close to the beach and so cosy in the evenings by the fire - thanks so much Becs!

A beautiful space with incredible views. Lulu was great to deal with and extremely responsive re communication. We would definitely stay here again and wish Lulu all the best with her accomodation listing.

The room is clean and comfortable, the mattress is of good quality in Airbnb, and I slept very comfortably.The candy prepared by the owner is very good

Lovely spacious house perfect for large groups. Beautiful surroundings and everything you need provided. The managers of the house are lovely but did feel we were rushed out when they came in unannounced at 10am when check out was at 11am. Other than that we had a lovely time and really enjoyed how beautiful the gardens and character of the house

Shannon was such a lovely friendly host, she was quick to respond to my queries and made sure we had everything we needed. The house was so nice and my kids loved the array of toys they left for us. House was clean when we arrived and the hot tub was fired up and warm - so lovely!

Jason went out of his way to make our stay special. Perfect for a large family group who love to stay together but aren't squashed in. Coffee machine is fantastic and the view is a time waster. House was warm and inviting. Would definitely stay again.

Our time at the harbour hideaway was amazing. Adelle and Greg went above and beyond in welcoming us and answering questions that we had. They set up the heater on the hot tub ahead of time so it was ready and available when we arrived. The views from their place were amazing and the food provided was delicious. The place is beautifully decorated and felt super cozy. Our only regret is that we didn't have more time to spend there.

Definitely recommend. Absolutely love the local area and this accommodation provides a serene base to explore the local sights.

Awesome relaxing home. We stayed over a colder long weekend, but the house was warm and cosy. The log burner was great. Fantastic place for a family to come and relax. Well supplied with appliances and provisions and Alvin is a great host. Can't wait to return in the warmer months.
