Set on a hillside beside a little stream, plenty of parking. Pub in the village and 10 mins drive from Betws-y-Coed. The loft room is cosy with one pull out bed and a spare mattress. Totally self contained with shower, toilet & rustic kitchen. Good work space for bikes and canoes, desk for laptop.
“We loved it, lovely chill, nice and cosy with everything you need. More space than expected. Lots of cooking utensils. Rustic but clean. Would definitely recommend”
Beautiful Woodland hobbit/fairy/witch house Nestled away in our woodland is our new roundhouse. Built from natural materials, nearly all from the woodland around it and super insulated with gas hob, wood burner and running water. Come hideaway, hibernate, nestle and nuzzle.. tend fires, read, swim in our lake, pick salad and eggs from the farm... This cabin offers the perfect place to step into a different pace, to be at one with nature, to slow down and think about what matters in the world.
“So, at first I didn’t want to even write a review. Only because I kinda want to keep this place all to my self. I 100% recommend this trip to anyone that has an outdoorsy bone in their body. I planned this trip for my wife, my 1 month old baby and my doggy only 12 hours before we left. This farm is pure magic and the energy there is unmatched, the roundhouse was perfect and has everything you could ever want (just be sure to bring some boots). The furnace was warm, having a gas hob made cooking a breeze, and there’s a sink with running water (only cold water, but no complaints there) which made doing dishes so easy, they had more than enough blankets and the scenery is unbelievable. 3 days just wasn’t enough. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a bit of nature and miss the uninterrupted sound of birds singing. If I could give them 6/5 stars I would. Much love.”
Closed during lockdown. Paddleboard is a cosy little cottage with loads of character. Remote location for families to escape. This is a perfect, peaceful location right on the Menai Strait. Whether you want watersports, a spot of fishing, a stroll with the dog along the shore or just relax with a good book. Located just 5 minutes away from the A55, Paddleboard is a perfect hub from which to explore the delights of Anglesey and Snowdonia. Moel y Don Cottage is also available here
“Paddleboard Cottage is a little gem with wonderful hosts in Nicki & Tom (and family). The cottage is well appointed, clean and cosy and is itself a lovely historic wood beam building. There is a small garden with hot tub where you can soak up the afternoon sun (or rain!) and enjoy the views over the Menai Straight towards Snowdon; our 4yr old simply loved it and it gave us a really lovely family activity to do together at the end of a busy day exploring. Location wise it is great, 10 mins drive from Menai Bridge, so within easy reach of the castles and adventure activities on the mainland but nicely tucked away from the hustle and bustle of mainland too. The shoreline is 100m from the cottage and at low-tide a large sandbar provides a fab place to exercise the dog and enjoy the space, light and peace (and wind!). There is a lovely church just behind the cottage and coastal walks you can do from the cottage so you don't have to get in the car if you dont want to. 10 mins away is the charming Sea zoo and Foel Farm and Anglesea Salt factory. Whilst we did not have time to explore much of Anglesea we loved all three attractions and they provided a great (and not commercialised) activity to do with our 4yr old. Nice and gentle! Food was great, we ate at Dylans in Menai Bridge which does awesome seafood and the Erskine in Conwy (after a long which served an amazing Sunday roast. All-in-all the cottage, hosts, location and the area gave us 3 amazing days and I highly recommend it!”
