Eddastua is in history and charm. Edda Konstanse lived in the house with his sisters, who lived as a seamstress. Some years after Edda's death, Prostinne Valborg and her husband took over Prost Steffensen . When he died, Valborg moved to his children and the house was empty for almost 50 years, before Christensen took over in 2001. They've taken care of all the things that were there and turned the house into a gem with charm and tranquility. Nice cabin (60 m2 + loft) for rent on a weekly basis. The cottage is located close to tourist information on Holand, and only 1 km from the crossing to Svartisen. Bedroom 1: double bed, Bedroom 2: two single beds Loft w/ 3 sleeping places. Bathroom w/ washing machine, shower, toilet. Open living room/kitchen w/ stove, fridge, dining table, sofa group, wireless internet and TV (Canal digital). Terrace with seating area, great view and barbecue. We welcome open-air guests to our great cabin in Holmsundfjorden in Gildeskål, 1 hour drive south from Bodø. The cabin is idyllic and unobtrusive to the very bottom of the sea. The cabin has a boathouse with a 14 foot boat with 15 HP outboard motor. The cabin also has a great private sauna barrel all the way down by the water. Formidable hiking and fishing opportunities await you in Gildeskål, and we are happy to suggest top trips and smaller family trips for you.

Spectacular view looking over fjords and midnight sun. We loved the tranquility of the place. Perfect for watching the midnight sun not set and boats and ships go sailing by. Note: no linen is supplied but was offered as an added charge. A hairdryer would have been a welcome addition in the cold weather. Otherwise can’t fault it and would happily return for a longer stay.

The place was exactly as described and although it is remote, easily accessible by Quad and boat. Håkon was very accommodating and clearly described everything important. The boat works perfectly and the area is ideal for hiking and fishing.

Margretes seahouse is next to the ocean in beautiful surroundings. We saw the midnightsun and even a flock of whales. The seahouse is perfect for a weekend to relax or to go for walks to the beach and the local area. The inside of the seahouse is modern and nicely decorated. The seahouse was clean and maintained really well. We really loved our stay in Margretes seahouse and recommend it for other guests.

We had two wonderful weeks in this cozy cabin at this very special place: We loved the view from the cabin onto the see, the short walk to the rocks to see the sunset, the kajaking between the tiny islands, the evenings in the outdoor bathtub, the hikes up to bolgtinden, through bolgborra and around the island, the bouldering behind the cabin, the slackline between the trees, the snorkeling in the bay... It is really a perfect place on an amazing island. Furthermore the cabin could not be better equipped and Edle Catharina is a very caring host, who explains everything in great detail. Thank you so much for sharing your cabin with us!
