Villa holiday rentals in O Baixo Miño

Sofia was very communicative throughout, and provided great recommendations around the local area including a guide book when we arrived. The house was in beautiful surroundings and the pool was amazing. There was another family on site, but we barely saw them so it felt private. Everything was clean and we had everything we needed for a very relaxing, enjoyable stay in North Portugal.

We spent a few great days as a family in this nice house: the pool, the garden, the different rooms of the house and the proximity to the ecovìa. A very peaceful and harmonious place to spend a few days Highly recommended

We loved our stay. A beautiful, quiet, spacious house with a lovely private pool area. Yes there are a couple of steps to get up to the pool but nothing too hard and so worth it. The view from the pool was unbelievable. Our host Fatima was incredibly kind and so responsive to any questions we had. We didn’t have a hire car and Fatima kindly drove us to the supermarket a couple of times and even dropped myself and my partner off to the train station when we left. My suitcase was lost and I only had 1 outfit for 2 days until it arrived, Fatima gave me some washing machine detergent to wash my clothes. So kind and generous. The house was lovely, spacious, clean and private. The photos do not do the property justice, it was really beautiful. It was really warm outside and we barely used the air con as the house was pretty cool anyway.

An ideal house for two families in a very nice environment. Immediate access to the Ecopista. The pool is very nice and the house is very spacious, both the common areas and the rooms. Highly recommended.

Charming property by the sea with fantastic views. The house is superbly equipped. The hosts are very hospitable. Within a few minutes you can reach the coast on foot and take wonderful walks on the Jakobsweg. The city of A Guarda can also be reached on foot within 15 minutes. The nearest bars and restaurants are only a 5-minute walk away. The house was very clean and there are wonderful cozy areas in the house and in the beautiful garden to relax. It is a great hideaway for some peaceful and quiet days to relax. The nearest big city, Vigo, is 50 minutes away by car, and in A Guarda, there are a few smaller supermarkets in addition to Eroski and Lidl.

You will immediately feel at home at João’s family place. It is decorated with love and eye for detail.. The location is quite and the view is stunning. We planned to explore the region and the beaches but the idyllic villages and beaches could not compete with Joao’s place. Ideal for a family with two kids.

We spent a few dream days in this house! Everything is very tastefully decorated (rustic style) and the house was spotless! The garden and pool also very well cared for! We will definitely repeat next summer!! The relationship with Gianluca is very easy, clear and fast.

The villa had everything we needed and more — every detail was so thoughtfully designed, and it was spotless. The space is even more stunning in person, with a warm and stylish feel throughout. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful, which made everything super smooth. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Highly recommend!

Second time we stayed here with a group! The place is meticulously taken care of with lots of loving elements. Traditional style and homely feel.

We were 2 families staying together and we had ample space in this well appointed sizeable villa in sleepy local village outside of Viana do Castelo, which is a nice town. There are a few local restaurants in the village and a cafe/bar a short walk down by the river. The river wasn't swim-able though. We spent time relaxing by the lovely saltwater pool which isn’t overlooked and is set in the secluded gardens overlooking fields. We felt a car was essential to visit local towns and national parks. The cleaner came mid way through our 2 week stay and changed bedding towels and cleaned throughout, which was a nice bonus. Jose was there to greet us and gave us helpful local advice We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay and would recommend the villa.

The villa is beautiful and our large extended family of 12 felt very comfortable there. The pool is great as is the jacuzzi and games room neither which were expected and were an added bonus! The gardens are stunning. The location is a little awkward and not really in walking distance to the beach and buses are infrequent. But we made it work. Our check in was chaotic but that was our fault for not realising the time difference between Portugal and Spain. The facilities are great except the showers never really heated up. These are minor niggles because we really had a brilliant family holiday in the most comfortable and beautiful space. The pictures do not do it justice - in reality it’s even better! We weren’t expecting to pay €500 cash as a deposit and for a variety of reasons it took over a week for the bank transfer to arrive. However Celia and her team were great in communicating so we knew it was going to be returned eventually. A fantastic holiday in a beautiful villa!

We had an amazing stay. The place was perfect for a family vacation. The location was peaceful and the nature surrounding was beautiful. The house was spacious and the pool area was great! We had everything we needed. Totally recommend it! 😊

It was a pleasure to spend a few days in Ralf's place. It's a wonderful house in a unique setting!! We had the bad luck that during all our days it rained a lot but thanks to the comforts of the house we were able to spend it fantastically and enjoy each space. But the best part was certainly not the house, nor was the environment Ana and Ralf who were aware of us at all times. Thank you for that💖💖

Fantastic accommodation. Beautiful gardens, pool and house. Marcus is a very good host, and looked after us so well - bringing us little gifts like fresh orange juice just made the experience so much better. One of our children really wanted to keep a huge lemon he’d found in the garden but we told him he would have to ask. Instead of just saying no, or yes, Marcus said “sure, but why don’t we make some lemonade together!”. Just so thoughtful and kind. The house is very well equipped and beautifully furnished. Lots of attention to detail. Pool is very large and everything is perfectly clean. Marcus and Rick really did go out of their way to ensure our stay was successful without ever being intrusive, so please don’t hesitate to book!

The house is a dream. Impeccable facilities. Comfortable and fully exterior rooms. The garden and pool are sunny from morning to night. They welcomed us at the time that suited us best and the departure was flexible so we could make the most of it. We loved it and would definitely repeat. Our stay is already an unforgettable memory

I recommend it to those looking to be at peace and quiet with an excellent landscape. Good place to be with friends and family. Avoid bringing sports cars, hard access.

wow! the grounds and views of this place are something money can't buy, the memories of looking over the national park from the stunning pool will stay with me forever... we spent 90% of our time outside, making use of the bbq every night. we were 4 adults and 2 children, thus indoor space was just enough for sleeping and bobbing I and out, not quite enough to all sit and watch the tc, but you just don't want to do that anyway. more than enough though if its just 4 people. there are loads of toys in the basement which we made use off - table tennis and there are also kayaks and access to river if you're brave! close to waterfalls and hikes and Flore will send you many recommendations. was just a beautiful place to stay. Flore, my only criticism is please provide more fans as high summer is very hot at night.

Lurdes' home is great for a family getaway and with children. His house is spacious and has a swimming pool, even for children. In addition, it is well located, close to small villages that are worth visiting. Lurdes was a caring host and her house was spotless. We recommend it 100%, we were very comfortable there.

Excellent place for a quiet vacation away from the urban hustle and bustle, ideal for a good rest. Excellent outdoor space for pool activities and sunbathing, the excellent barbecue that was used to make great meals. Carlos was always concerned with ensuring that we were comfortable. We felt at home but away from home. Definitely a place to go back to.

Had a great time here! Unfortunately the next beach is 15 min walk away. The ocean is close to the house, but it’s not accessible and not possible to swim. Moledo is very quiet and it was always 5-6 degrees colder than the other towns around it because of the wind (I guess…? 🙂) Sunsets from the rooftop were our highlight. André was super helpful and easy to communicate with.

We’ve been coming here for the past 10 years and love Quinta de Varzea. Isobel and Manuel are fantastic hosts, the apartment is beautiful and the pool is just simply great! Tranquil, peaceful and serene and if you need a bit more Caminha and Valencia nearby are worth exploring. We hope to be back next year!
