Beachfront holiday rental in Ogemaw County

Great location private however the canal is nothing like the pictures. And the neighbors said it’s hasn’t been that way for 4 years. So they definitely need to update pictures.

We recently stayed in Sarah’s beautiful cottage by the lake in Hale,MI over Memorial Day weekend.Its a very easy drive from Ann Arbor.This destination worthy cottage is beyond beautiful with Rustic and modern farm house feels! Everything at the cottage is thoughtfully and meticulously planned and you can see the labor of love of the owners at the property. The place is warm and inviting like and we had a wonderful time in this little slice of heaven with gorgeous views. Hot Tub was a bonus since the Temp was still in 50’s.Sarah was very kind and responsive through out our stay. You couldn’t ask for better Hosts!

We enjoyed our stay at Joe's place. He was easy to communicate with and was helpful. The furniture was very comfortable. The Sunporch was so nice, and we could see the water and hear the waves. We enjoyed walking on the beach and swimming. The location was perfect! Thank you Joe!

Our 3rd stay at the cabin! We love it so much, we will always stay there! Favorite places- Kiss Me Coffee, Trestle Park, Garrett's for breakfast- the Pour House had great dinner selections and huge portions!

We enjoyed our time here and thought it was very clean and well organized! Having kayaks, fishing, paddle boat, fishing boat etc all available to us and all kinds of water and beach toys was great. Things are super organized in their well-lit shed and having all these things accessible to us was a huge perk of staying here. The cabin was cute and very clean and welcoming.

We had a wonderful time at Loon Lake. The cabin, lake and the surrounding areas were perfect. We had fun swimming, fishing, kayaking, taking walks down the dirt road and enjoying the beautiful sunsets. Melissa was a great host and replied quickly to any questions that we had. I look forward to stay at Loon Lake again. I would recommend this place to my family and friends. One thing that I recommend is to bring your water shoes because there are some zebra muscles around the dock, but otherwise it is nice and sandy.

We had a wonderful stay at Adam’s place on Sage Lake! The house was very clean and spacious and easily accommodated our group. The kitchen was well stocked. The place offers the best of both worlds- a relaxing place to soak in the lake views or an action packed time with all of the lake and home amenities. The neighbors/property managers Frank and Patty went above and beyond! We brought our own boat and when we had some boat issues they jumped right in to help us- just wonderful, kind people. We had such a great time- we even bought Sage Lake apparel to remind of us of our trip. We will definitely be back!

We had a great stay! The house was perfect, everything we needed was provided. We really enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaks. The covered back porch was great for eating all meals outside. Very relaxing and enjoyable!

Very cute cabin with a small beach on the property. The deck is big enough for a table, grill, and chairs, and other outdoor seating added to the resort feel. Located in a residential area so there was a bit of traffic noise, garbage trucks, etc. We walked next door to the general store and a bar/restaurant, but anything else will require a drive. The cabins are well laid out with everything you need, but the bathroom is quite small. My husband is tall and the shower was a squeeze, but he made it work. Owners were responsive and helpful. Would definitely go back.

Everything was amazing and as listed in the description. I was able to get an early check-in. The owner was friendly and helpful. 10/10 would recommend. I will hopefully be coming back!

We will absolutely book again at Clear Lake Resort! The cabin was perfect for what we needed and I really appreciated being able to bring our dog! It was spotlessly clean and the communication from the resort was helpful and timely. Looking forward to our next visit!

Our third stay! We love this special cottage on Lake George! We relax and enjoy the amazing sunsets and the lake! Our pup loves to take a swim and I love to kayak! The home is so comfortable and perfect for a long stay! Walks every night, watching deer, and the northern lights! Perfect stay!!

The lodge was perfect for our group. Each family had their own unit and some had 2 bedrooms with pullouts. there was plenty of room for our group of 15. Any concerns were addressed quickly; there was plenty of bed linens; there were games, wifi, and kayaks for us to use. We went shopping in West Branch and Tawas, which was great on the cooler days. it was a pleasant, relaxing stay and we would definitely recommend it.

Last minute booking to get away for a night at a very reasonable price. Even allowed my girlfriend and I to check in a few hours early if we arrived before check in. Very peaceful and right on the water, close to downtown. I would recommend family or friends to use this host for a nice peaceful getaway.

A beautiful location! Kip was great! He and his family are super friendly and helpful. The cottage had everything you could possibly need. Hope to stay again!

The crowned shore cottage on Houghton Lake hosted by Sonia was top notch! It is great lake house. The house was stocked w all cooking utensils, toilet paper, laundry pods, and coffee. Drawers and cabinets are conveniently labeled. The AC works well. The house has a nice private backyard (grassy) with a wonderful bonfire area. There is a wonderful tree that provides shade throughout the day, and picnic tables on the patio allowed for outdoor meals. We brought our 21’ super air nautique. We enjoyed skiing, wake surfing, and tubing all week. The house is a block away from the DNR boat launch which was super convenient. The water is shallow at the end of the dock, only about 2.5 ft. It was great for the kids to play in, but it made things tricky with the boat. The pontoon we rented had no issues with that depth. There is super soft sand from the shore past the end of the dock! We will be back for sure. Thank you Sonia for sharing your wonderful home.

Great spot!

Beautiful lake side home. No air conditioning which makes it hot upstairs. The kitchen was well equipped and clean. Would stay there again once the lake level rises to its original levels.

The sandcastle and host Ben are simply amazing. The property is exactly as described in the listing and shown in the photos. There were plenty of bedrooms and space for everyone to spread out, we had 8 adults and 2 children in our group. The house was clean and well furnished, plenty of seating areas inside & out. There were games, books, DVDs, etc. The main dining table was big enough for all of us. The kitchen is large, update & has everything you need, we really enjoyed cooking in for nightly dinners and spending time as a family. The yard/view are unbeatable, nothing between you and the water, paradise. The lake is large, uncrowded & the sunsets are to die for. The sandy beach is nice. There is even a dock, a great place to fish and tie up our boat. Plenty of parking too. We had 3 vehicles, an ORV trailer and a pontoon trailer and there was still room for at least 2 more. I can't say enough good things about the property or the host. loved everything.
