Nice location to Osaka&Nara / Japanese style room

森屿Rating, 5 stars1 week ago
The host and his wife are very welcoming! As soon as we checked in, we were shown around the room, bathroom and kitchen. The yard of the house is also very beautiful. The room is large and comfortable. Clean towels and mineral water are provided to us every day. The host's wife also helps us wash our clothes. She is very warm and greets us🥹 every time we go home. I am very touched to be able to live in such a good house!

Beautiful Kominka Guesthouse in Nara, Japan

TimRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The host’s were warm and welcoming. The space was in a charming old house, but nicely renovated with a good kitchen and appliances, as shown in the photos. If I get the chance I'd love to stay again. It was a great base to explore the area on my bicycle.

Cochi Stay, for architecture lovers

SachaRating, 5 stars3 months ago
My husband and I enjoyed a lovely stay at the house with our 11 month old baby. It looks exactly as it does in the photos and is a wonderful sanctuary to come home to after a day of sightseeing. We visited Koyasan and Nara Deer Park (which are both about an hour away) during our week there, as well as a few more local shrines. We appreciated that there was a supermarket a 10 min. drive away for all of our cooking needs. Hitoshi was a great communicator and generously allowed us some flexibility with our check-in/check-out times. We definitely recommend the house and would love to stay again if ever in the area.

Traditional tatami Japanese style

YuechenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The owner and the room are very good, and the yard is also very beautiful.Very happy to experience a traditional Japanese room. The check-in information was like handwritten, very thoughtful, and there was a name tag at the door.I tasted the fruit tea made by the hostess☺️ and she asked if I needed to be sent to the station the next day.The house is downhill under another smaller entrance of Koizumi Shrine, and the surroundings are quiet. It was raining on the way there. At first, I walked to the main gate of the shrine (actually, I could just walk through the shrine), but I met a very kind grandfather who searched the map and sent me to the door. I was really lucky.I found a delicious restaurant nearby.

2 min from station, best for WFH + Hollywood twin

I had such a wonderful time at this beautiful , clean, architecturally sophisticated modern home. I experienced a generous young couple , smart and intelligent businesslady Maya and her wonderful partner Hide made me feel like being at a home away from home. The quiet location is well connected , 5 minutes from the station and perfect to explore Nara and Kyoto being only 40 minutes away .The house has all the amenities you could dream of , a very nice touch is the free organic tea , mineral water and a luxury bonus is the filtered shower keeping you clean and fresh , super valueable in a hot japanese summer .Being worldtravelers themselves representing the best of a young japanese generation who is openminded it was great fun and fascinating to talk and on many occasions i was impressed with their knowledge and insights of traditional and modern Japan .Thankyou so much for your wonderful hospitality you are the ( secret ) Airbnb superstars one can only dream of . Love you guys !

private traditional garden/free shuttle service

HenningRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
I had a wonderful time at Miko's apartment. The apartment is located in a complex consisting of several residential units and these are all decorated in traditional Japanese style. Only high-quality materials were used in all areas, so you can feel very comfortable. The garden is beautiful and well maintained, the staff are friendly and attentive, I can only express myself completely positive about my stay. I recommend this place to all travelers who choose peace and seclusion, in my opinion, in addition to a temple on the mountain nearby, there are no special cultural sites nearby.

Have a special holiday! Villa Vacance Kyoto Kizawa (with jacuzzi and sauna) Turn your vacation into a vacation!

RobinRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We were traveling with 2 couples and had a car. After 2 weeks of busy cities and small guesthouses, we wanted a home we could cook dinner, linger at the dinner table, sit outside and play board games. We found that surprisingly hard to find in Japan. This home was modern, comfortable and has it all to hang out as a family or small group of friends. It’s on a busy road but you don’t hear it at all. But it did let us sit outside and play mellow music and enjoy the evenings. Osam is a host in an old school way, checking in regularly to make sure you are enjoying yourself and to offer assistance. The location is relatively close to Nara Park, which is worth a day. It’s a long 1 hour drive to either Kyoto or Osaka, but we spent half days at both and were grateful to go “home” to Osam’s place at the end of the day. Worth staying 3-4 nights to relax and explore this part of Japan.
