A traditional Japanese house surrounded by rivers and forests, available for exclusive rental to one group per day. Here, you can enjoy a stay where you can enjoy time itself, surrounded by sound, fire, water, and stars. The music room has a grand piano, drums, a guitar, and a bass. During the pizza oven experience (separate fee), you can bake authentic Neapolitan pizza, and in the evening, you can watch the starry sky and the Milky Way while enjoying a BBQ and sitting around a campfire. In summer, you can play in the water in the river right nearby and relax in nature with a tent sauna (additional fee). There is a fully equipped kitchen in the old house, which was formerly a cafe, so you can cook together or read quietly in the library. You are free to spend your time as you wish. The bath is a Shigaraki ceramic bathtub. Please relax your mind and body while being enveloped in the warmth of the wood-fired fire and the scent of cypress. Spend time in "your own place" where no one will disturb you, unlike a hotel. Please enjoy such a luxurious time. There is also a shuttle service to the nearest station. There are several options. Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

The area aournd the house is once small castle town. The house is located next to the Shrine, Hiyoshi-Jinja, where the Omizo Festival is held on May 3 and 4 every year.
