Walker and Mountain Biker's Paradise

LisaRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We had such a lovely few days away at Middle Burrow Cottage. It’s in a wonderful rural location with chocolate box cottages all around. Adrian and Jo were friendly and welcoming and the barn was perfect for the two of us and our dog. The barn had everything we needed facilities wise and the cleanliness exceptional. The welcoming box allowed us to enjoy some very much appreciated homemade goodies, and also provided us with milk that we forgot, rookie mistake! The barn is very close to lots of attractions, especially the walking and historic ones. All in all a fantastic find and we would certainly recommend. Oh, and if you are invited to see their garden which they kindly allow guests to use (in addition to your own) run don’t walk…it’s absolutely stunning!

Modern Apartment in an 18th Century Cottage

GeorgiaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Really amazing place to stay in along the coast in Exmoor. Location was fantastic with local paths and trails from the door as well as few minutes drive to the beach. It really was the perfect place to base for a week in Exmoor national park. The apartment is so much bigger than it looks on pictures and the amenities are just as described. We had an issue with the key (no fault of William!!) during our stay and he responded straight away with a solution! We felt his communication throughout the whole trip was amazing. We couldn’t find any on street parking during our stay but never had any issue getting into the car park recommended in the listing description.

Gatekeepers Cottage

HelenRating, 5 stars5 months ago
The host advised me that on the day of arrival I would be met by the manager to let us in. The shopping delivery came early and we were not there at that time. I messaged the manager who kindly, met the driver and even put my shopping away! The managers were lovely, greeted us on arrival and explained what we needed to know. The wood fired hot tub had prepared for our arrival - which was brilliant! It was big and easily fit all 5 of us. We had a really lovely time. Thank you.

Kylex cottage

DanRating, 5 starstoday
We have had a lovely stay at the cottage. It was easy to find and had everything we needed plus a few extra thoughtful touches (dog treats, fresh scones!) that really enhanced our stay. I was pleasantly surprised to find out we could walk down to the seafront and the heritage railway which meant I didn’t have to drive at all during our four day trip. The cottage is small but was perfect for our needs and the ground floor bedrooms were nice and cool during the heatwave we had whilst there. It was well presented and very clean. The view out of the upstairs window over Minehead was lovely. We would definitely recommend it if you are visiting Minehead and we like to stay again. Many thanks.

Suzy’s place was utterly magical. The house is beautifully presented and has everything you need; we would happily upsticks and have moved in permanently. It is located in a quintessential Somerset village, Stogumber, which features a lovely pub and community run shop. I would highly recommend booking!

Park Home in Watchet

KateRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We booked this as a last minute holiday and Clare was very accommodating. The cabin is located in a peaceful location and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It’s an easy walk/cycle in to Watchet and cycling to Dunster is straightforward, but as a note to other cyclists there are a few steep hills to negotiate on the round trip. Just made us enjoy our glass of wine even more on our return 😄 The cabin manual says the Wifi can be patchy, but we were unable to obtain WiFi all week and the TV reception was dodgy also. These could be issues for some, but did not negatively impact our holiday. The strength of the shower’s water pressure is fabulous! We returned home rested and made some lovely memories in a beautiful part of the country.

Exceptionally beautiful views!

JustineRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Me and my partner have just got back after spending 4 nights at the little barn. Everything was as described. The photos don’t do the size justice it is huge! More than enough space for 2 people. The decor is lovely and just to our tase. The shower is amazing! It was lovely to see the horses and pony right outside the kitchen and bedroom window. Also the chickens roaming freely. Everything we wanted or needed plus more was there, tea, coffee , sugar and milk for when we arrived, oh and the lovely farm fresh eggs, these were delicious! The kitchen is kitted out perfectly. The hot tub on the decking area was an added bonus, watching the sun set of an evening whilst enjoying an Aperol spritz was amazing. Also the bbq was a superb added touch. Philippa was a perfect host! There if you needed. Philippa also advised us of places to go, I can highly recommend Tavistock, a lovely town only half an hour away. There’s plenty of places to visit. We have already booked for next year!
