And from the window, you can see the nature of Ikeda Town from anywhere, and you can hear the babbling of the river and the birds singing.It is also convenient as a relay point to the Dinosaur Museum and Eihei-ji Temple. It also provides convenient access to Katsuyama, a ski resort with one of the largest slopes in Western Japan. This area, which receives snow unique to the Japan Sea side due to the cold, dry northwest wind, boasts a blessed snow quality and abundant snowfall. In addition, at Ski Jam Katsurayama, you can enjoy Dinosaur Land and Katsurayama Nature School in the green season. There is also a barbecue facility at the ski resort, Katsurayama. Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.
