What a fantastic place! We had a wonderful weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were in awe of how beautifully designed the cabin is and it felt so cozy. The location and the view from the backyard is absolutely stunning and so peaceful. It was such a great spot for our family to spend time together. We were also pleasantly surprised by the tree house out back and our kids loved it. We also really enjoyed the hot tub especially after a long day of sightseeing. The hosts are great as well. They had fruit waiting for us and we were able to easily check-in ourselves. They were very easy to communicate with too.

Nikola is a very friendly host and welcomed us immediately with open arms. during our stay, he provided some knowledge about the area whilst giving his recommendations. The restaurant operated by Nikola, was next to the accommodation, and both he and his family provided delicious local meals. For our return to Zagreb we encountered issues for our initial transport. Thankfully, Nikola and his father offered to take us down to Jastrebarsko which allowed us to take a train to Zagreb i recommend Nikola's place, but it is important to do proper planning in advance and personal transport is a must.

The Maple Cottage is really beautiful, decorated with lots of attention to detail. The holiday vibe exceeded my expectations. An idyllic, peaceful location in the middle of the Žumberak Highlands. A great place for nature lovers who want to spend their vacation away from the sound of cars and the hustle and bustle of city life. The view from the house is fascinating, and swimming in the hot water in the barrel recommended us😍 The house is very well equipped with everything, the kitchen, the bathroom, there is even a popcorn maker in the tavern which delighted our children. The backyard has several videos for a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. The host Shadow welcomed us very nicely, made us a great cheese pie and so swept us off our feet as soon as we arrived, very friendly, communicative and welcoming, so did her husband, who immediately offered us a welcome drink. We had a great rest and are thinking not to miss the same experience in the spring:)

If you want to be welcomed like queens, this is the place to go. We were greeted by the host's mom who had prepared Croat specialties, tea, and coffee for us. She showed us around the place and showed us all these artwork. The house is really beautiful, we felt like we were getting back to our childhood soul and sleeping in a cabin. Everything was really perfect, if you are looking for a secluded place, for a return to calm in connection with nature. Goodbye the noise of the road and town and hello the birdsong and silence. It feels really good. Thank you for hosting us 🙏🏻

The house is very cosy and clean. The shower is outside, but it has warm water so it feels that you stand in middle of forrest and shower - that is really fantastic.

Beautiful nice small cottage, perfect for a couple and a pet or two. The wood stove brought a very relaxing ambience and we completely recharged our batteries with the local scenery. Nice and isolated, near a lot of nature spots with waterfalls, creeks and lots of greenery, highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay! The reception was very warm and everything worked smoothly. The place was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. We would like to highlight the restaurant - in the morning and in the evening we were well taken care of there. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly. A great place for a relaxing break – especially recommended as a stopover while hiking. We will be happy to come back!

Jelena is a fantastic, responsive and very friendly host. Her place is fantastic in location, cleanliness and amenities. The house is literally the last on the road in the valley and therefore very secluded. Our family (two kids) enjoyed especially the outside area with the roofed patio with Croatian oven/bbq, outside kitchen, hot pot and playground. Heating and outside amenities are powered by natural wood with plentiful supply. This is also needed, because you get power cuts occasionally due to the remote location and old power network (not Jelena’s fault). The environment is green and peaceful, with a nice little creek running by the house. You can start walking or hiking directly from the house. The neighborhood is local and small but very friendly. It’s easy to get in contact and you can get local homegrown or homemade food from them. All in all it’s definitely a recommendation. All of us had a fantastic time and I personally had one of the most relaxing holidays for a long time!
