The perfect getaway with magnifico views. Great hosts, super good food, open to help and organize what you need. Very nice jacuzzi with hot / cold water like a bath-tub. The only small problem are forficula bugs and spiders but if you want natural surroundings than that is the costs. All in all I highly recommend this place for a couple escape. We got lucky and the horses where there to see us when we woke up.

We stayed at the wonderful Fontanaro villa in the village of Paciano, and it was truly a soul-refreshing experience. Lucia is an incredibly caring host, and Pam, who looked after our stay, was a real treasure. She not only provided excellent recommendations on places to visit but also took care of reservations, ensuring we had nothing to worry about. This was not just an ordinary stay; it was a unique experience. We had the opportunity to participate in an olive oil tasting and a cooking class—both activities left an indelible impression. The villa we stayed in was not only stunningly beautiful but also boasted an impressive wine cellar with an extraordinary collection. Overall, our stay at Fontanaro villa exceeded all expectations. It was more than just accommodation—it was an experience we will never forget.

What a great place to stay. Everything we needed during our stay was available, from a cot for our baby to an iron and a full kitchen etc. The location was great for Tuscany, with Siena, Montelpulciano and others an easy drive away. The pool was just what we needed in the afternoons to cool down and relax after spending our mornings out and about. We hosted a dinner with family in the large dining table overlooking the pool, a lovely end to our stay at a superb family spot.

Gianluca war ein sehr fürsorglicher Host. Erreichbarkeit und Kommunikation einfach, unkompliziert und schnell - in sehr gutem Englisch. Die Unterkunft ist ideal für jeden der Ruhe und Privatsphäre sucht. Das Haus hat alles was es für einen schönen Urlaub braucht inklusive großem Pool, Sauna und Whirlpool. Gianluca hat uns sehr gute Restaurants und Ausflugsziele empfohlen. Vor allem auch viele Insidertipps, d.h. keine Touristenhochburgen sondern lokale in denen Einheimische essen. If you want to experience the Tuscany of your dreams, then this is the place to stay! The pictures are accurate but do not do justice to the beauty you will experience. Birds chirping and bees buzzing around the fragrant jasmine and roses bring peace and calm as you gaze out over the olive grove to the surrounding hillsides with views of Pienza, other towns and a retired monastery. Frank and Phil are incredibly gracious hosts and will not steer you wrong with recommendations, including wonderful restaurants, beautiful churches and abbeys, and wineries. The garden cottage is quite private and you will have no intrusions. Sitting on the patio with a glass of wine, some local cheese, and a good book was our favorite escape.

Wat een fantastisch huisje met uitzicht over de vallei (UNESCO erfgoed). Super rustige omgeving, op loopafstand van leuk dorpje met diverse mogelijkheden. Wij hebben een geweldige tijd hier gehad en zouden het zo weer boeken!!

L’alloggio “il Cottage“ è un delizioso appartamentino di due camere che si trova proprio accanto alla fortezza (che lo rende ancora più suggestivo). Francesca e Aliek ci hanno accolti con gentilezza e professionalità, facendoci sentire come a casa nostra. Tutta la loro famiglia è stata molto carina e disponibile, inclusi cani, gatti e asinelli che sono stati per noi una compagnia inaspettata e molto gradevole. La fortezza si trova in un’area molto tranquilla ma allo stesso tempo vicino alle maggiori attrazioni turistiche dell’Umbria facilmente raggiungibili in auto, al massimo in un paio d’ore. Assolutamente consigliato sia per coppie che per famiglie, o semplicemente per persone che amano la tranquillità e la bellezza .

Vores ophold hos Gabriele var fantastisk, og vi nød den uge vi har hos ham. Huset har en filmisk flot udsigt over det toscanske landskab og poolen lige sådan. Poolen er perfekt til afkøling på de varme sommerdage. Huset er smukt, rustikt, rent og køligt. Aircondition hjælper også. Vi har været en familie på 4, med børn på 4 og 7 år. Vi har nydt det hver dag! Gabriele og hans kone var meget venlige, imødekommende og altid nem at få fat i om nødvendigt. De var med til at gøre vores ophold helt perfekt. Tak til dem! Vi kan kun anbefale et ophold hos Gabriele og hans “Le Capannacce”.

We spend a wounderful week in Pogiolo in this converted farmhouse which has been renovated thoughtfully and with very good taste. We enjoyed the beautiful pool and the great view on Castelignon Fiorentiono. The hosts, who live on the property, were very nice and open. They gave us advice for great restaurants and trips in the area. We highly recommend and would come back any time.

Il casale tra gli ulivi e’ un’oasi di pace, siamo stati molto molto bene in quattro con i nostri due cani nella tranquillità’ assoluta e con una vista spettacolare sulle colline. Nella casa c’è’ tutto ciò’ che serve Vi ringraziamo tanto Federica e famiglia

Abbiamo trascorso una bellissima e rilassante settimana di vacanza nel fienile restaurato di Villa Parigini . La casa è molto silenziosa, accogliente e confortevole ed è ben organizzata. Ha un bel giardino e una piscina per rinfrescarsi e rilassarsi. Ottima posizione per visitare Siena e la zona del Chianti. Giada e sua mamma sono Host molto gentili e disponibili. Saremo lieti di tornarci.

I was looking for a spacious, comfortable place with pleasant outdoor features. I found it here. Beautiful, rural, Tuscan surroundings, yet only 20 minutes from Cortona: a great hill town of middling size. Plenty of room for 4 - 6 people with very good sleeping arrangements. Convenient kitchen, washer, and furnishings helped make my almost 3 week stay enjoyable. Definitely benefitted by the instructions, you tube video, and good communication. Would certainly consider another stay if in the area again!

Flaminia went out of her way to acommodate us and even helped us with food given our late arrival and that stores would be closed. Appreciate that very much, she was also very flexible and understanding, the natural environment surrounding the house is beautiful and very peaceful.

We truly enjoyed our stay and loved the quiet charm of Gina’s home. Having Dadalo & his lovely mother Nonna cook us dinner was delightful & delicious! We also enjoyed their sweet family dog, Beethoven. Thank you again!

הבית עצמו הוא פנינה בלב נוף מקסים ומלא שלווה ויופי. אבל מעבר לכך, נורית היתה לנו לעזר בצורה יוצאת דופן כדי להפוך את שהייתנו במקום למוצלחת במיוחד. זאת בפרט לאור התקלה שלנו - שלא הצלחנו לשכור רכב. היא היתה בקשר, בזמינות מדהימה ובעצות זהב לאורך כל שהותנו!

L’alloggio é un monolocale perfetto per una coppia, pulito e nella sua semplicità fornito di tutto. Sicuramente super consigliato per chi vuole vivere al interno di un suggestivo borgo medievale e come plus godere della vista dal meraviglioso terrazzo attrezzato di questa casa! CONSIGLIATISSIMO

Un luogo magico. Un vero casolare tra gli ulivi dove trovare tranquillità e pace, leggere davanti alla stufa accesa o sul soppalco con vista sulla natura. Un luogo che sa di altri tempi ma pulito e dotato di ogni comfort. A pochi minuti da molte zone meravigliose, piste ciclabili, lago Tresimeno, cantine e borghi. Torneremo di certo!

Fiona is a great host. She was really friendly and always eager to help. The house is super cosy and well equipped. The kitchen is great, there was everything we needed to cook delicious Italian dishes. We loved the fire burner. I can highly recommend this quiet place to anyone willing to rest from the bustling city life. The internet connection could be better but this is a very remote location so there’s probably nothing the host can do to improve it. The pool closes in October. It was too cold there to use it but it could have been mentioned in the offer. The quite high (300 eur) deposit for electricity was required and this should have been mentioned as well. It hasn’t been returned to us yet so I can’t say how high the bill for electricity could be. Anyway, this is a really nice place and we had a great time there.

Our family enjoyed a delightful week-long reunion at Cassale Poggio Baggio. Silvia's property provided an ideal setting for relaxation and togetherness, comfortably accommodating guests traveling from various global locations. Its convenient proximity to Castiglione del Lago, Panicale, Paciano, Cortona, and Montepulciano, among other notable destinations, offered ample sightseeing opportunities. The abundance of nearby vineyards further enhanced our experience with wine tasting excursions. The house itself was fully equipped, including a complete kitchen and laundry facilities, along with a generous selection of books and games. Camila's assistance with check-in and check-out, coupled with a tour of her olive orchard and vegetable garden, including a tasting of her produce, exceeded our expectations.

Fantastic stay ran by great hosts. Great base to discover Tuscany.

This was the loveliest Airbnb stay I've ever had. I spent five days in July. For Americans who may deterred by the lack of air conditioning, I will offer that this was during an intense heatwave, but I slept very comfortably due to the cool bedrooms set back into the hillside. Grocery was convenient and the kitchen had absolutely everything I needed to use local ingredients for dinner Al fresco every night. The property included much private outdoor space, the view of orvieto and the vineyards, access to a large pool, and even a very friendly and delightful little donkey. Would give six stars if I could!
