SUNSET STAY OMI is an exclusive accommodation for one group per day, located on the seafront of Omi, Oshijima. You can spend a relaxing time while feeling the changes of the sea and sky. Dinner at the popular restaurant "Umimachi Bar Ameri", where you can enjoy local cuisine and music, is also one of the highlights of your trip. A tranquil place embraced by mountains and the sea. It is not only a great base for cycling and island tours, but it also has a workspace, making it ideal for a relaxing, extended stay. In the early morning, a walk while gazing at the calm sea, surrounded by silence and the chirping of birds, is a soothing experience. About 550 meters from the inn along the sea, there is the "SUNSET STAY OMI OUTDOOR LOUNGE" exclusively for guests. Please enjoy your time as you wish in a space surrounded by the sea, mountains, and sky. Next to the inn is the entrance to the approach to Himezaka Shrine, and the narrow sloping path lined with old houses from the early Showa period is recommended for a stroll. From the path through the mandarin orchard that leads up to the shrine, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the sea and the islands. At night, the sky is filled with stars, and in summer, the Milky Way sparkles. Please relax with a cup of coffee or juice made from local citrus fruits while surrounded by the sounds of records.

There is a separate indoor bath from the Hinoki bath, but the view of Setouchi and the starry sky from the Goemon bath, heated with firewood, is the best. The bedding is specially ordered from a long-established bedding manufacturer in Kyoto, and the bath invites you to relax your body and mind and sleep soundly. Most guests say they sleep well. During the day, you might want to spend some time in the lounge filled with houseplants. Enjoy the sunlight shining through the trees from the skylight. Here, the right answer is to do nothing and just be. How about emptying your mind? If you request at least a week before your stay, we can prepare local food from Oshima Island and seasonal food that we can get through a special route. The existing exterior walls and structures were insulated and reinforced, but restored to the time when the old house was built. Inside, we made a white box that provides a comfortable environment, and we made it the living room and bedroom. You can relax in a modern Japanese-style design space while staying in an old Japanese house. The bathroom opens to the courtyard with large windows and is full of a sense of freedom. The bathtub and bathroom heating are also equipped to create a comfortable bathroom environment, and privacy is ensured with blinds. It is small but equipped with a kitchen for simple cooking. The entrance is wide and bicycles can be brought inside. There is also a washing machine, so it can accommodate medium to long-term stays. There are also Western-style restaurants, Japanese restaurants, kappo restaurants, and bars nearby, so you can enjoy the local cuisine.
