Holiday rentals with a kayak in Österåker Municipality

Pierre's house is truly a “gem in the Stockholm archipelago”. The house is large, very nicely cut and has the "certain something". The highlight is the very nicely made sauna overlooking the water. It can also be illuminated nicely at night. Paddle boat and stand up paddle complete it all. There is another house on the property, which is also rented out. Sometimes very nice people and we got along well. We had a fantastic week and would love to come again anytime. Communication with Pierre was also very pleasant and we got valuable tips.

Håkan's house is really a great place! Fantastic view of the quiet island of Elgö. We really enjoyed it. The house is also very bright, spacious and friendly. Hakån and his wife are very friendly hosts who live in the house next door and respond quickly to questions but otherwise leave enough privacy. I'm sure we'll be back!

As a family of four, we had a wonderful time in Madeleine's beautiful cottage! Her husband Michael picked us up by boat and then went shopping for groceries with us, including specialty recommendations; we couldn't have had a better start to the Christmas holidays. The house is exactly as described, as are the amenities. If we had any questions, we could always contact Michael or Madeleine. The view of the water is fantastic and the ferry ride to Stockholm is a highlight for the whole family. In short, we will be happy to come back and highly recommend this place! We had a wonderful stay in this fantastically located house on an island that is big enough to be able to take walks there. Matilda and Amanda provided us with a small motorboat with which we could be traveling towards the mainland or other islands at any time. In addition, you have two small optimists and a kayak as well as a rowing boat available. Due to the fireplace, the house is very cozy even on bad days. The contact with Matilda and Amanda was very friendly and warm, you always responded quickly to inquiries, also at this point thank you again! We would book the house again anytime. We made excursions towards Stockholm and Upsalla, each about 1 hour away. Have a great trip!

We had the most wonderful stay at Benita and Per’s place! First they were both friendly and helpful and responsive and very welcoming. The house is tucked away in a peaceful forest setting - we loved enjoying our coffee outside. But an easy bike ride to Berg for shopping or restaurants and same in the other direction. The newly built house was perfect size for our family of 4. Great amenities, new kitchen, comfortable beds. This is our third year on Möja and we love coming here. So happy to have found a great house and hosts - we hope to return! 🙏🏼❤️☀️

The place is as described, it is a beautiful large space, equipped, outdoor seating. The house was warm. The bus is a short walk, beautiful surroundings for walking. We had everything we needed, I would definitely recommend.

It was amazing stay at Jörn’s place. Very cozy and comfortable house, all needed staff available for use. Perfect place if you looking for escape from big city lights/noise. Thank you!

We had a fantastic four-night stay at this beautiful cottage in Vaxholm! From the seamless check-in to the breathtaking sunsets, everything about this location is designed for relaxation. The hosts were incredibly responsive and went above and beyond to address any issues quickly, making us feel well taken care of. The views are even more impressive than in the photos, and the private dock adds a special touch to the serene atmosphere. Although we encountered a few maintenance issues, such as the dishwasher breaking down, the hosts were proactive in making repairs. A wonderful getaway in the heart of the Stockholm archipelago!

The sea cottage was beautiful as advertised in the photographs. Quiet and tucked away, but a quick 20-25 minute drive into the city. Peter and Malin were very friendly and helpful with any questions we had! They made the process seamless and stress free. Definitely a hidden gem in the outskirts of Stockholm.

Bjorn and Lilian’s place is wonderful. The house is large and really comfortable, and the setting is incredible. We spent a week here with one trip to replenish groceries, and we had a great time. Bjorn and Lillian are also really lovely people. They looked after us really well, and we are delighted to have met them. We would highly recommend staying at their summer house.

We had a great stay, Hans is a great host quick to respond and friendly . Fishing on the lake is very good and kayak and canoe and even a boat are at disposal . The cabin have everything needed . We greatly recommend it and will happily go back .

We had a great time on the island. For us, a small family with two children, the small house was the perfect compromise between being in the city, but also having the possibility to be in nature. Michael was very friendly and helpful. The fact that we could use the canoe, was a very nice extra. It gave us the possibility to do something active rather than just being in the city of Stockholm. The ferry to the mainland, which is included in the public transport, was also nice for us to take. We had a very nice stay. Thanks Michael!

We really enjoyed our stay at this quiet and peaceful place in the Tynningö. The best part by far was the view — wide open sea, fresh air, and large cruise ships slowly passing right in front of the house. It was like watching a moving postcard! One of the highlights was definitely the hot tub overlooking the sea. Sitting in the warm water while watching the sunset or seeing ships glide past was an unforgettable experience — calm, scenic, and perfect for unwinding. The house is simple and cozy, with all the essentials you need. The bathroom was a bit small, but manageable — and honestly, the view and outdoor experience more than made up for it. Highly recommended if you're looking to disconnect, recharge, and enjoy the best of the Swedish archipelago.

Great communication with Bijan and Hajer. They were not physically here to welcome us but left precise indications on how everything works. As we arrived in minus temperatures outside, the houses were quite cold and needed a few hours to warm up. The little chimney helped a lot and put us in a very cozy mood. Bijan even prepared the logs so we would just had to light them on for the first time. The bus stop is really close to the property (only a few minutes away - it is ideal to go to Stockholm as there are a few direct buses and many indirect ones). The kitchen has everything you need to cook and bake. We had a great time for Christmas and New Year there, we were able to enjoy the fireworks from the terrace up in the backyard with very nice views. I highly recommend!

Beautiful view of the ocean and forest from the cottage. The cottage was perfectly situation on a hill top which meant it felt private and has fantastic sun all day. The cottage was well equipped with everything one would need to cook a nice dinner. We were pleased that there were mesh screens for the bedroom which was appreciated when sleeping. One of our favorite things about this cottage is the proximity to a swimming area which is so lovely in the morning and afternoon!

We spent 5 nights in Christina's place, a home as described, a little paradise lost in nature. We were on foot, but, loving to walk (20 minutes from the bus stop) it was no problem for us. Thank you for the loan of the bikes and canoe that allowed us to discover Vaxholm and the surrounding islands, differently and autonomously! Christina was a great host. It was a great!

Sublime and very peaceful place, ideal for a getaway for two, the island of Vaxholm is worth a visit. The sauna is also a very pleasant activity included in the accommodation. Maritza was very welcoming and gave us some great suggestions, thank you so much!

We spent a few wonderful days in the house. It was quiet and the access to the sea was great. The children loved the trampoline and the playhouse. The kitchen is very well equipped and the living room is very cozy with a great view of the garden and the water. We will be happy to come back!

There were four of us in the house and we felt very comfortable! Helen is very friendly, was always reachable and supported us well. The house and the surroundings are beautiful. You can swim both in the nearby great lake and in the Baltic Sea. Canoeing is also possible. We were traveling without a car and got along well with the bus and borrowed bikes. We can highly recommend this accommodation!
