The hosts live in the farmhouse (the largest house) in the yard. In the yard there are also 3 kitty cats, 5 rabbits, and currently 2 ponies. Otherwise many mountain hikes and hiking opportunities on Osterøy, e.g. Bruviknipa, Kossdalssvingane +++ Distance to Bergen: 32 km, approx. 35 min by car. #Beautiful outdoor area and cozy small cottage#

A place you find peace and quiet and can enjoy your days without worries, here you can swim and enjoy yourselves in peace and quiet, the place is sheltered and without access. Should they rain, you can still sit dry under the roof and at the same time be outdoors. It is a small simple cabin with great outdoor opportunities. The cabin is surrounded by water and a river that goes down to the sea. There is also the convenience store and a hotel as well as a small gas station. You can use boat down the river to shop, or walk 5min.

The guesthouse

Welcome to our peaceful guest house, 3km up from Hosanger, Osterøy, 50 min drive from Bergen. We are the last farm on the road and have a good parking space. From here you can walk on Åsheimveten, 477 meters above sea level and on to Tveitafjellet 556 meters. Down in the valley, you can walk to the popular Kossdal swings. Mjøsvågen Landhandleriet is open every day, 5min to drive. There you can buy hot food if desired. You can swim in the public swimming area close by or have a visit in the floating sauna.

Byrkjetunet Gard

The Byrkjetunet Gard is a farm in quiet and enchanting surroundings of Osterøy. Here you can live in the gardsbruk's apartment, where you have an entrance and terrace. The apartment has a bedroom, open kitchen, sofa nook and private bathroom. Also has a sofa bed so you can travel a lot. Here you are surrounded by idyllic western nature on all sides. The short distance to the lake for fishing, swimming area and great mountain hikes. Animals are of course welcome with us 🌻

There is also a short way to great mountain walks and good fishing opportunities both in the fjord and at sea. 5 min from the E16 and exit to Osterøybruan. Shop, soccer field and a nice bathing place are in walking distance.

The farm is located on Osterøya, an island surrounded by fjords. 35 minutes from Bergen city. 3 farm houses for rent. "Grandmothers house" is the oldest house and has a lower standard than the other houses, the price is also lower. (read the information and look at the pictures)

Cozy apartment with space for 2-4 persons. A bedroom with a double bed and a desk Sofa bed that sleeps 2 in the living room. Open kitchen dish washer. The bathroom is outdated but spacious and functional.
