Llantysilio Hall, built in 1876, is one of the finest country houses in Denbighshire, North Wales, just outside the town of Llangollen. The natural setting is enchanting. The site is on the bank of the River Dee next to the historic Horseshoe Falls and the Llangollen Canal (a World Heritage site). All guests are welcome with no exception.
“A fantastic house for a large group of guests. We hired out the house exclusively and it was the perfect size for 15 adults, 5 toddlers and 3 babies. All bedrooms are a really good size and big bathrooms with powerful showers!! I was concerned that being such a large house it might be cold, however this was not the case and it was really well heated throughout! The kitchen was brilliant for cooking for a large number and the dining room a fantastic size!! Sal was lovely and helped with suggestions on how to get to the local village. Would recommend to any big group looking for a weekend getaway in a beautiful part of Wales!! Llangollen has some lovely shops, pubs and restaurants. Thanks for a lovely New Year!!”
Our BRAND NEW traditional Canadian Log Cabin sits at the top of the mountain overlooking the Ceiriog Valley and Berwyn mountains. It is ideal for romantic breaks or just to relax and unwind making use of your own private hot tub after long walks in the hills. A mere four miles from Llangollen you'll find a great base to make the most of all the fantastic outdoor activities and places to visit that we have to offer in the local area and further afield in North Wales, Cheshire and Shropshire.
“We stayed in this beautiful log cabin for two wonderful nights. Our hosts, Sharon and David were super lovely and helpful. Prior to our stay, Sharon had sent really useful messages with places to visit and eat and so we didn't have to do any research before we visited. Her directions to the lodge were really clear and helpful, especially as we found that we had limited phone data available to use sat nav and also the directions avoided a really rough road. On arrival, we were welcomed warmly with delicious homemade bara brith (our first time trying this-delicious!) and cream scones. We bought some of her home made jam as it is so delicious. The cabin was fabulous, lovely and warm and modern too. The hot tub was amazing! The view from it was incredible and we watched the stars from it and even went in it in a gale force wind as it was so lovely and warm and relaxing with it's powerful jets. We visited some lovely places and felt very relaxed as we were unable to access emails, texts or phone calls as we had no signal. However, we did have a minor family emergency and Sharon and David were more than happy for us to use their house phone for this, for which we were very grateful. We really hope to be back again as we so enjoyed our stay.”

“Pen-Y-Fedw Cottage. A little gem on top of a beautiful mountain. A huge thank you to Sharon and Dave for allowing us to share your wonderful country cottage. The most amazing hosts who have spoilt us with hospitality and ‘to die for’ home made Welsh cakes and scones. If you are looking for calm, tranquility and a total escape for a few days, this is the place to visit. It is also a wonderful base to return to after a day of exploring the Welsh country. The hot tub is fantastic as is the charm of this quaint cottage. We were also shown around the new quirky log cabin, which we will definitely be booking next time. There is something to suit everyone here, ranging from the hot tubs, country walks, sight seeing, nature or just good old fashioned romance. Once again a big thank you to Sharon and Dave. Regards Martine & Darren, Swinton, Manchester.”
