Holiday rentals with a patio in Ovar

We had a lovely stay at this apartment in Porto! It’s located in a very cute neighborhood—quietly charming with local character, yet still very accessible to everything you might need. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful, making check-in and communication smooth and pleasant. One of the real highlights is the terrace, which made for a perfect spot to relax with a coffee or a glass of wine. The apartment is next to a road, so you may hear some traffic, but the windows and doors do a great job of blocking out most of the noise—we had no issues sleeping. The bathroom is clean and modern, with the toilet inside (which is always convenient). The kitchen really impressed us—extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need for cooking at home. All in all, a great experience and we’d definitely recommend this apartment to other travelers!

The accommodation matches the description: it is functional and well-equipped. Very well located, a stone's throw from the metro that allows you to reach the city center in less than 5 minutes. It is also close to many shops, which is very convenient. The hosts were very available and responsive throughout the stay. I recommend it!

This place is beautiful! Right in the heart of the older part of town (where you want to be). It’s walkable to almost everything! And the hosts were incredibly helpful. I even called them at one point because I couldn’t find parking- and they guided me to safe affordable parking for the duration of our stay. Fantastic. One of the best places we stayed while in Portugal. The views were amazing. Exactly what we needed before we left Portugal. Thank you again!

Awesome hosts - super accommodating

Pedro’s place is absolutely stunning – the interior is beautiful, the location was ideal, and the roof terrace really made our trip feel special 🤍 The only downside was the check-in experience. Even though we were told check-in was from 3pm, and I let Pedro know multiple times that we’d be arriving around 6, we didn’t get there until 7 after a long and tiring travel day – only to be greeted on opening the door by one of the owners and a workman who were still in the apartment finishing up some work. They told us they’d been there since 5pm and weren’t sure when we were arriving so decided to go ahead anyway, which felt frustrating.. and awkward after the journey. They stayed for another hour after our arrival, which wasn’t ideal when all we wanted to do was relax. That aside, once we properly settled in, we loved our stay – really felt like home:) the space and location really are amazing & the free storage for our bags after checkout was so so helpful & a lovely touch <3 thanks

Fabio's place is recently renovated (as of June 2025) and a beautiful space. We did not cook but the kitchen appeared well-stocked. Space was spotlessly clean. The shower was hot and with good pressure. The apartment is centrally located in walking distance from all the main attractions. It is probably a 25-30 minute walk to the other side of the river and the Port Wine cellars, but that is the furthest point from the apartment that we needed to go. There are lots of restaurants right around the apartment within a 5 minute walk. The Clerigos tower is 10 minutes by foot. The main cathedral is about 20 minutes by foot. Among the restaurants, we really enjoyed Mare by Meia-Nau. It just recently opened and has a good (albeit minimal) seafood menu. The "Arroz de Marisco" was excellent. We arrived by train at the Porto-Campanha station. It is a 15 minutes cab ride from there to the apartment. Fabio was a great host (fast clear responses) and accommodated our late checkout.

Chic and very clean apartment above the rooftops of Porto. Great little balcony with seating and table to comfortably have breakfast or drink a glass of wine in the evening.

Ines is a wonderful person and excellent communicator that responds quickly. She met us upon arrival to show us around and was so thoughtful to leave us fresh fruit and snacks. She also has a vast knowledge of local places to visit, the Portuguese culture, driving tips, restaurants and more. The home was perfect for the 3 of us. Neighborhood is very safe and quiet. The home is cozy with a working fireplace, a back yard to bask in the sun, great WiFi, and heaters for comfort as needed. Numerous restaurants, local convenience shops, cafes and a cool mall (Vida Ovar) within 10 to 20 min driving. Definitely recommend having a car to explore. I highly recommend her home for a wonderful visit.

On our trip to Portugal, the Douro Valley was the highlight of the trip from the storybook views to the spread of freshly picked cherries, homemade preserves and wine awaiting our arrival to the cleanliness and comforts of a beautiful home perched high up on the vineyard terraced hills. The game room was an incredible surprise - there are seven eighties arcade games along with a ping pong table, a foosball table and an infinity game with over 150 board games built into the table. The hospitality was second to none. Gabrella, the property manager, was one step ahead of us ensuring that we had everything we needed to make our stays one of the most memorable. Sephi, the owner, is one of the most generous people we have ever met. His passion for region and willingness to offer his time to you is amazing. We spent one morning touring his winery, learning the old way of making wine and enjoying the fruits of his labor – an extraordinary experience not a just another Air BnB.

I so enjoyed my stay in this stunning stone house built by the host's direct relatives! I was truly charmed by the soft tinkling of goats' bells in the pasture, the adorable village dog known and loved by all, a private porch, a crackling fire on a chilly night. This village and it's people are really special, experimenting with organic farming and regularly offering multi-generational events. I was even invited to a village party that included impromptu music, singing and dancing. Self-taught musicians played accordians, guitars and ukuleles while their neighbors & relatives danced. If I moved to Portugal (I wish I could!) I would want to vacation here for a month every year. It's a perfect spot for a writer's retreat, quiet reflection or uninterrupted time together as a couple. The kitchen is a fully functional kitchen, with all the pots, pans, implements and appliances you could possibly need to prepare and serve a meal for 10 (even an immersion blender!)

This was one of the most breathtaking views I’ve ever had at an Airbnb. The scenery was stunning, and the setting felt wonderfully secluded yet still just 15 minutes from the nearest supermarket (via a charming, winding road). The house was very comfortable and included a lovely pool — a perfect spot to unwind and take in the beauty around. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway.

We had such a glorious stay, we cannot recommend it enough. Carolina was super responsive and accommodating, gave us amazing recommendations of restaurants and kindly booked a couple of reservations for us. Everything is within walking distance throughout the city. The apartment is surrounded with beautiful views. The plunge pool was a lovely bonus to cool down in the late afternoon, not overlooked at all. Thank you again x

The stay went incredibly well. We had high expectations, but he managed to exceed them. The house is very well located and the decor is wonderful! I think João and Debora are amazing hosts, they left nothing to chance and were always available to help. For sure, repeating it!

When we first saw Mario’s place and the fact it was a perfect five stars from all previous guests - it was difficult to believe. But we immediately upon arrival understood why this was a perfect 5 stars…this is an incredibly special property - from the streams, waterfalls, history as an olive press, trails, peacefulness - this place was absolutely one of a kind. All in our group agreed this place, of all the places we’ve stayed in the world, was truly truly special….if we could give more than 5 stars - we would. Mario and Cila were fantastic hosts and incredibly responsive and the amenities and nice touches throughout made us feel right at home - better than home. Such a wonderful stay.

Ricardo has been responsive since the original booking months ago. The apartment was very clean, beds were comfortable, apartment was quiet. He met us there to give the instructions in person and was quick to respond for any needs. This place is highly recommended!

If I come back to Porto, I will definitely visit this accommodation again. I was really comfortable during the 5 days I stayed, and I was happy like I was at home. The host is friendly, the guidelines are clear, and the bedding is white and very clean. It was the cleanest of all the Airbnb accommodations I've been to, and the bathroom was in the best condition. I want to recommend this place to everyone to the point that I want to upload it to my blog. Oh, and by the way, it was so nice that the host was Korean.👍🏻

Excellent! A very good place to spend a vacation. The house is beautiful, with everything we needed to spend a few weeks on vacation. The view we have of the ocean is wonderful. Mr. António is very attentive. I highly recommend it.

Ludo and Park were truly exceptional hosts—warm, welcoming, and incredibly friendly. They went above and beyond by sharing fantastic local recommendations and insider tips, which really enriched our trip. The space itself was spotless, bright, and wonderfully spacious. Having our own private pool was an absolute treat, especially during the hot weather. The location couldn’t be better: everything is within walking distance, and public transport is a breeze to use. An amazing place to stay! The flat was lovely and clean, shower was nice and big and the bed was super comfy. Made the most of it being a ground floor flat by sunbathing just outside the little patio area and walking straight to the pool for a dip. Also a great location to walk into town for either the beach, shops or restaurants. Not too far to walk to the supermarket for food either. Adelina was always super quick to reply to messages, and was exceptionally friendly and helpful anytime we did message. Cannot recommend enough!!

The apartment was really nice and spacious with a big balcony where we enjoyed the sun. The kitchen was also well equipped with the essentials. Also a big plus was a private parking spot in the garage. Paula and her team were very responsive and helpful. We had a great stay!

Every thing was perfect …

Joao was a super great host, very helpful and very flexible on check in which he met us personally to give us a walk through of everything. Very responsive and the place was perfect with a little garden to have coffee in the morning. Great location and enough provisions for our short stay. Highly recommend!
