Guest House Agae is a renovated traditional house that can only accommodate one group at a time. It is in a very convenient location, about 550 m (about 7 minutes on foot) to Kumano Kodo and Kinkou Oji, a supermarket (A-COOP), a bus stop (Kodo Aruki no Sato Chikatsuyu), and restaurants (Shoji Teahouse and Tororo-ya). The owner is a local Kumano Kodo guide, so we will do our best to accommodate your questions and advice about walking the Kumano Kodo, as well as pick-up and drop-off when you need it. We can also provide personal guides, so please let us know. Prices do not include meals. And we are a small farmer who grows rice and multi-product vegetables, herbs, and flowers. We provide the rice and vegetables we have grown during your stay, as well as fresh eggs grown in Kumano. Ryunohara Hatago

Not only the scenery, but also the town itself is charming. Also it’s close to world heritage of “Kumanokodo”. It is possible to come to this place by public transportation.

Mikiura Guesthouse

Mikiura village is surrounded by the clear blue sea and natural green mountains, and located close to the World Heritage of "Kumano Kodo" You'll enjoy real Japan such as rural life experience, quiet time and beautiful nature. Guesthouse is a typical old Japanese house, not like a resort Hotel or Ryokan for business. Reservation start from 2 person / 2 nights minimum. We only take one reservation everyday so when you stay at Mikiura-Guesthouse is yours to use privately.

"Genki House", a house near Kumano Hongu-Taisha

It’s a house 8km from the Hongu Taisha. (about 15 minutes' drive) If you have a car it's more convenient, but if not I'll be happy to drive you to and from a bus stop or a tourism spot in Hongu area.Also I provide two bikes at the house. My family run an organic farm, bakery, NPO offering long-stay for the youth, and an alternative school for children nearby. You'll have some loaves of bread from our bakery(^^)/ （If you don't eat bread please let me know beforehand)

Our house is traditional Japanese style house. 150 years old and in a very quiet location. We are renting house. Not shared with other guests. There are 2 bedrooms(Tatami-room) and 1 living room, gameroom, bathroom, shower toilet, all of the room are only for you. *Children is free of charge if your children don't need a bed and break fast. There are air conditioners in bedroom and livingroom.
