OPEN March 20, 2026 Nestled in the mountains of Nara and Yoshino, surrounded by greenery, lies the quiet, one-day, one-group-only traditional Japanese inn, B&B Mori no Akari.(The name means "Light of the Forest") ⚫︎ During your stay, breakfast and dinner handmade by the owner are included (please refer to the photos). ⚫︎ We can also accommodate pescatarian and vegetarian meals. The kitchen area is shared with Hotos.The rest of the space is reserved for your exclusive use, and you can enjoy your time freely, just like when you rent the entire property. A spacious area of approximately 230 m² can accommodate up to 8 people.Ideal for family or group trips.There is also easy access to Yoshinoyama, a famous cherry blossom viewing spot, and Kimpusenji Temple, a World Heritage Site. We have preserved the historic beams and tiled roofs while creating a comfortable environment for your stay.The tranquility of the mountains, the soft light that illuminates the night.Here, you can take a break from your daily routine. Due to the abundant natural environment, we recommend that you come by car. (If you wish, we can arrange transportation to and from the nearest train station.) Makomo House, a traditional Japanese house surrounded by Makomo fields, for rent with a campfire and Goemon-style bath

Makomo House is located in a mountain village at an altitude of 500 m on the Oku-Mikawa Plateau in Nara The 100-year-old house is a private rental. Makomo-no-ta, which is said to be "the grass where God dwells", spreads around the inn, and you can relax in your room and feel the "Makomo breeze". You can enjoy the "Medicinal Herb Makomo Bath" at the Irori back table and the Goemon bath, where the well water is heated with firewood. There is no TV or wifi, so why not turn off your digital devices and turn on your own sensibilities? Enjoy the soothing sounds of nature, such as the rustling of makomo leaves, the babbling of the river, the chirping of birds, the chorus of frogs, and the sound of deer.
