Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Paiva River

I spent a glorious month at Maria Celeste’s home. It was simply the best place to reset, connect with nature & rest. I’ve never been to a more peaceful home. Freshly squeezed orange juice (from trees) every morning. Lemons for water. A natural spring to swim off hiking grime. Mountains to climb surrounding the entire home. Lizard & butterfly friends. And so so quiet. Maria Celeste picked me up & drove me to the location. Taxi services available to go to town when needed. I can not recommend staying at this home more. If you need some R’n’R, stay. You won’t regret it.

It felt like home when we returned after 6 six years. The place of Laurence & Jorge is in line with the pictures and the view is amazing. The house has everything you need, we really loved the mattresses and the pillows. The house is surrounded by a large garden, and we liked the privacy and the fruit trees in the garden. Getting into the house is easy and communication is perfect. We will definitely return again! We recommend to do some groceries before you arrive, the nearest supermarket is a 15 min drive away. From the moment we arrived , Alexandra welcomed our family and made us at home. The establishment is incredibly designed, unbelievable views and smells of fresh flowers. The staff was super nice and helpful, the food and wine was great ! Thank you for great family memories made ! Will be back ! Anthony

Maison spacieuse, confortable avec bel espace extérieur, terrasse ombragée très agréable. Bon emplacement pour visiter Porto et la vallée du Douro. Restaurant "Méandro " à côté,pas cher, excellent avec vue splendide sur le Douro. Graça et son mari sont accueillants et réactifs. Seul bémol, la présence de chiens qui aboient++ ( chenil ?) . Graça n'y est pour rien, mais nuisance sonore à signaler..

We had a lovely week at the house and the surrounding nature. The house was beautifully located, well equipped and clean! Although we had very rainy weather during our stay, we still enjoyed beautiful hikes and the house offered a cosy refuge for us. Would stay here again and would definitely recommend it to anyone else. Thank you for the hospitality António!

We hebben genoten van ons verblijf. Een ruim huis, alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig, schoon en fijn prive zwembad, Arcilio is zeer vriendelijk en gastvrij. Zeker een aanrader!!!

Nous n’avons pas pu rencontrer Nuno mais nous avons reçu toutes les informations et description du fonctionnement du bungalow en détails. Beau bungalow en bois, bien décoré avec une agréable terrasse. Un bel hôtel un peu art déco à proximité et une très belle plage. Bien situé pour pouvoir rayonner dans les environs.

Magnifique maison, implanté dans un îlot de verdure un petit coins de Paradis ! Notre hôte très gentil et serviable toujours a notre disposition. J'espère un jour y revenir.

Abi and Regina are exceptional hosts who made our stay memorable. We especially enjoyed the tour of the animation museum by Abi which was fascinating The property is very lovely, the flower and vegetable gardens are incredible and the whole ambience is very relaxing. A perfect place to stay for several days. We thoroughly recommend staying here and look forward to returning

Maybe not for everyone but us we experienced the house and surroundings as a little paradise. The house has character and the whole lot around it is beautiful. It is quiet and has lots of space. The pool is real pool, and not an enlarged sort of bath tub. A beautiful view is included. The house is well equipped, everything worked well. The shoreline is a 40+ minute drive and worthwhile visiting. One can walk kilometers on the wooden board walk or bike along. Even to Porto along the shore which is really not far away. It passes Afurada………… you may want to plan a stop there for excellent sea food at a very reasonable price Hiking trails are in the area. Do some smart shopping for groceries and the like at a supermarket, we did not find anything close by. Maybe a minus for some, if you like to go out and enjoy night life nearby, that is a no-go.

The countless reviews say it all: this place and Murilo's hospitality are both exceptional. Best to check it out for yourself as my review won't do it justice. A few highlights: the kitchen is fully equipped, the space is family friendly, and the landscape is amazing. This is my favorite airbnb booking, and I travel a lot. Would recommend to friends and family any time! Thank you Murilo, you have an exceptional spot and truly are a superhost!

Amazing place. We've spent a month there and everything was perfect. Nuno is very helpful and a friendly host. The place itself was above all of our expectations: fantastic view, super clean and comfortable. Felt right like home.

Спасибо это пребывание было прекрасным, мы добирались на своей машине к жилью в сопровождении Руи и Изабеллы, только потому что наша машина 4WD, дом просто прекрасен, рядом нет никого и очень тихо. Так же есть две ванны которые нужно натопить и наслаждаться, это очень круто и расслабляюще! Дом в живую намного уютнее и красивее, чем на фотографиях, это наслаждение. Особенно было приятно то что когда я получила ожог по собственной вине в ванной комнате в шкафу было средство от ожогов, это очень безопасный и уютный дом.

Our stay at Douro BlueHouse was divine. After a busy week in the city of Lisbon it was lovely to have a beautiful home to relax and recharge. The styling of the house was impeccable. You feel as if you are in the middle of nowhere yet have the marina or town within minutes. A visit to a beautiful vineyard Casa de Vilacetinho and lunch at Tasca Dino was lovely. If you just want to stay in and soak up the views there is a lovely restaurant bar on the marina just a 5 minute walk down the hill. Highly recommend taking the time to visit and stay .

Sitio calmo e relaxante. Passamos um fim de semana muito bom na casa Alambique com acesso a piscina. Fizemos um passeio a cavalo que gostamos muito. Tbm usamos o campo de padel. Comunicação facil com a host Georgina, sempre muito acessivel. obrigado!

Simplesmente fantástico! Tivemos uma estadia incrível na casa do Rui e da Marisa. Tudo estava impecavelmente limpo, bem cuidado e com uma decoração cheia de bom gosto e atenção aos detalhes. Sentimo-nos em casa desde o primeiro momento. Adorámos o jacuzzi e, claro, o espaço da fogueira, que tornou as noites ainda mais especiais. Foi tudo pensado para proporcionar conforto e momentos memoráveis. Nota-se o carinho com que tudo foi preparado! Recomendamos a 100% e esperamos voltar no futuro. This is a unique place. Nothing compares with it. A small village of picturesque buildings - nevertheless, you do not have to miss anything of modern convenience - with the most beautiful and stunning nature. Amazing and must visit.

We had a great and peaceful time at Joao's beautiful stone house up in hills. The deck is absolutely gorgeous to hang out with friends and family. We loved the quietness of place. There are no nearby restaurants so make sure to plan the trip accordingly, otherwise it's awesome place to relax unwind and chill.
