We had the most amazing stay at Elspeth Villa in Ahangama! The villa itself is absolutely stunning – beautifully designed, serene, and surrounded by lush greenery. It was unforgettable! We were looking for seclusion and relaxation, this place fully met our expectations. The villa is located in a beautiful, quiet spot where you can hear nothing but the sound of the ocean and the birds singing. The bedrooms were comfortable and cozy, but we would have preferred one large blanket instead of two small. The food was delicious and various - the chef took into account my lactose intolerance and prepared meals without it, and for my husband he made spicy dishes separately. Although we sometimes chose the same dish, the chef always tried to add something new and interesting. It would have been nice to have more fruits. The staff was always available and ready to help. What stood out the most was when we walked along the beach and watched turtles, and we also enjoyed seeing monkeys, peacocks, and squirrels jumping around the villa grounds - it was so much fun! We were able to slow down, relax, and completely unwind. We would be happy to return here!

Anjalee's villa was spectacular, well thought out and immaculate. The landscaping was surreal! The villa came with very kind and attentive staff members and the adorable Mari the dog. Highly recommended and one of the best Airbnb's I have stayed in, without a doubt!

We had a great time at this beautiful villa. It’s absolutely stunning and well located to the heart of Ahangama. Tim was extremely helpful and responsive. The staff were not overhearing and left us to get on with things. The breakfasts were delicious and portions generous. One morning we had the Sri Lankan breakfast and the next the international breakfast with delicious butter milk pancakes. Dinner was also great and the chef worked hard to provide a variety as everyone ordered something different. Thanks Gamunu and co we enjoyed our time at the villa.

Overall we had a great experience, was there for my bachelorette and the staff really put up with us. Only complaints- a few of the lights and fans were not working and were not fixed. We were definitely given tap water, one of the can was filled with tap water, I’m assuming they ran out of water in the night and one of the staff had no choice but to serve us that. Would still give the stay a 5 star review was the host was kind enough to help with local recommendations and the staff was there to help whenever asked.
