Cottage holiday rentals in Palo Alto

This was our second stay here. Our daughter's family lives in the neighborhood and this is the perfect location for us to stay while visiting. It is quiet, comfortable and just what we need. The yard is very cute and we love to look at the animals with our grandchildren. We lucked out and saw the planets aligned from the driveway on the 25th, as it is dark enough to view the stars without city lights. Don and Lori are great hosts- there are treats and fresh eggs in the fridge, and everything we needed was right there. We will be back.

A recent stay at Robert’s home in Ben Lomond was exceptional. The property felt like home from the pictures on the wall to the books in the bookcase. The fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and toiletries was like walking into our personal family vacation home with everything clean and organized. Upon our arrival, we contacted the owner to let them know we arrived. We enjoyed a welcoming orientation of the property. The location was ideal with convenient access to stores and restaurants. We could not have selected a better place to enjoy quality family time and celebrate a graduation from UC Santa Cruz. This was a super stay and gets our highest recommendation.

Very good stay! The place was in a great area, close to many spots, and super spacious with all the necessary amenities. The interior design was really cute and made it feel extra welcoming. Would recommend!

Mara is a great host, charming and thorough.........a great combination for us! Her detailed instructions and "hands-off" thereafter approach was perfect for us. The unit was just the right size for us and had everything we needed for our week plus stay. We hope to visit and stay again in the future as the location is perfect for us.

Had the best time staying here , hot tub and spa was relaxing and was very well needed. House was clean and cozy would definitely book again

This place is good for a small family to stay ,quiet and spacious,easy to access a lot of place.

Very nice place ! Parking was pretty easy to find outside if you have more than one car and I’d recommend backing in to the parking spot inside if you have a larger vehicle ! Pretty close to most stores and we didn’t have any issues will stay there again !

Location, Location, Location! Steve’s place was exactly as described. Beautiful view, private, comfy bed, and CLEAN! Our two pups LOVED the fenced yard!! Steve was great with communication and ensured our stay was comfortable. We hope to stay again. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time at the ranch—the location was beautiful, and the unit was spacious. There was hot water and strong WiFi. Dogs on the property were friendly and adorable. However, the cleanliness of the unit could use some improvement. It would benefit from a professional deep cleaning to really match the quality of the overall experience. Despite this, we still enjoyed our stay and would consider returning.

This was the perfect little place for our family of 4! The house had everything we needed and had beautiful surroundings. Our daughters loved the porch swing out front. We saw hummingbirds right outside the kitchen window where the feeder was hanging. We cooked all of our meals in the well equipped kitchen. The organic coffee was very appreciated! Wish the queen bed mattress was a little firmer (was lumpy & soft- not great for those with bad backs) but overall very happy with our stay!

Great location, very walkable to the main area on Grand Ave and Lake Merritt. It’s a small space but had everything I needed as a solo traveler. Jintang has great communication and responds almost immediately to any questions. Everything from booking to check out was extremely easy and straightforward. Great place to stay, would definitely recommend booking with Jintang.

Thank you Tamara for sharing your lovely home. We had a great time in the area and your house was the perfect place to return to after a long day at the beach or hiking in the local redwoods. The beds were comfortable with plenty of linens and blankets. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed barbecuing for dinner while enjoying the great view from the backyard deck. We would definitely recommend your house and the area to others!

It was an easy and comfortable place to settle into. Great bed, easy to use thermostat, lots of drawers and closet space. It has two nice decks to sit outside but we didn't use them much because the weather was pretty cold. I guess the weather is the only thing we can complain about! We enjoyed coffee and delicious pastries at the little cafe around the corner. And we had a short walk to see our son and grandchildren. A great place for us and we'd like to stay there again.

I literally couldn’t have asked for more. They were so responsive and helpful with anything we may need. I stayed here for a month for surgery and didn’t want to leave when the month was over. The tiny house was clean and exactly what I wanted and needed for my recovery. Close to everything I needed and wanted to get to. All the light and fresh air you can ask for. Recommendations for food and stores. Visits from their amazing dog!! I wouldn’t change a thing! What an amazing host, family, city, and tiny home. I will definitely be back.

This is our 2nd time staying at this magical cottage. Tina is an excellent host who is available to answer any questions her guests might have. Not only is the interior of this Air B&B inviting, the cottage is also well equipped for a comfortable stay. The garden that surrounds the cottage is lovely and inviting. This trip I saw a humming bird taking a bath in one of the garden’s fountains. There is always plenty of street parking in Tina’s beautiful and quiet neighborhood. We highly recommend this special cottage and will look forward to staying there on our next visit to Oakland.

The house was clean and comfortable in an impossible-to-beat location. Plenty of nearby options for food, shopping, and endless oceanside hikes. The kitchen was well stocked for all of your cooking needs. A few basics were missed such as a delay in check in, due to key code not shared, and mysteriously few bottles of hand soap, but nothing we couldn’t work around. We would stay here again!

This is a great place to stay if you are thinking to travel to SF. The home is in a very safe neighborhood. The home is tucked away behind the hosts property which makes you feel even more safe. Multiple bus stops near the home. Will stay here again for sure when we come back! Very communicative host as well!

This is a great place to stay in the bay! This reminds me of how are bnb was before it became really corporate. Her space was really charming and there were a lot of extras like food and blankets.

The house(s) were extremely clean, with toys and books and games for our kids. I didn't realize it was two houses but it ended up working out very well for us. Our youngest son was so in love with the goats, it was the first thing he asked for in the morning! We will definitely stay here again!
