Amanda was a fantastic host. She reached out to is early to see if we had questions. A few days before our arrival we got the house book electronically so we could begin planning stay. The house is beautiful and exactly as pictured/described. My husband is the chef in our family and fell in love with the kitchen. We are recommending this location to all of friends and will be going back soon.

Excellent! Beautiful location right on the water - easy enough to just walk right out and be on the water. Place was very clean and comfortable. Nice to wake up and see sunrise over the water. Large windows made it amazing. Plenty of amenities like deck chairs, hammock, kayaks, life vests, etc. Really just a vacation ready to roll. Side yard was huge and very dog friendly. Even met the neighbor and he was nice as well. New Bern was 30 minute drive away and great to walk around downtown if you want that. Ben was excellent host. Very kind, super responsive, and made us feel taken care of if we needed anything. Highly recommend if you're looking for a quiet vacation spot on the water. Excellent experience and can't wait to visit again!

The home looks brand new, better than the description and photos posted. The kids were excited to see dolphins swim and play in the water nearby by each day. A great getaway. If you don't already have a boat, be sure to bring some kayaks or a canoe to take advantage of the ramp to paddle in the nearby creeks!

Great space, great location, and great value. We had a family reunion, and this was the secondary location. Lots of room to spread out and well appointed kitchen to make bulk meals. Definitely would come back again next year!

Great spot to stay for a duck hunting trip. All the amenities needed for a bunch of duck hunters. 10 minute drive from Cambell Creek and Oyster Creek boat access.

The house was lovely and the views from the deck made the space! The kitchen was well stocked with items and the house was nice and clean. The door locks are weird and slightly confusing but once I called the host, I was able to figure them out. Also, its worth noting that the driveway to the complex is a long, dirt road but you are going to the right place!

What a hidden gem! We stay here with our children (8 and 5yo). The house was incredibly clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Wonderful view from the deck. The property is beautiful. We fished off the dock for hours and had a blast swimming in the pool. We even saw a dolphin swim within 20 feet of the dock! Oriental is a cute town nearby - we had great carry out from The Silos and went to The Bean for ice cream. Piggly Wiggly grocery store had everything we needed. We loved our stay here and have already booked our next trip! Thanks for having us.

We had a great time at the Dragon House! Really lovely space and location. It is just like how it looks in the pictures. Very peaceful. The only things to note for future guests is that 2 of the bathrooms only have shower curtains for doors so they're not as private as we hoped. Also, the pool goes from 3ft to 9ft very quickly which can be a little surprising. However, these things did not dampen our stay so we still gave it 5 stars and hope to come back again someday!

This home was one of our best stays ever. The house was beautiful and very well appointed! I appreciated the labels on the kitchen cabinets as it made everything easy to find. And the labels on the light switches helped as well! We cooked in and found everything we needed in the kitchen plus we enjoyed being able to grill. And the snack basket was a nice touch! The house was immaculate and very well cared for. We enjoyed hangout there when we weren’t out exploring. It was an easy drive to downtown New Bern. And the property and neighborhood were great for our dog. Jacqueline was friendly and proactive and we could not have asked for a better host. We would highly recommend this home and would definitely return. All around great stay!

Amazing location and the house is very nice and cost. We feel like home. Watching the sunrise while eating breakfast gives us a real break from everyday life. The beds are very comfortable and the space is just perfect for 6 people. Thank you for this opportunity to enjoy nature.

We rented two houses for week for a family gathering. This was our second time staying at River Dunes. The houses and location were fantastic for our week. The amenities at River Dunes are wonderful, from the pool to the kayaks, to the bikes everything was great!

We had a wonderful stay at this new listing! The home is very comfortable, quiet, and well-appointed — perfect for a relaxing getaway. The highlight was definitely the beautiful deck overlooking the Neuse River — the view is absolutely stunning and made for peaceful mornings and unforgettable sunsets. Although this is a new listing, everything was smooth and thoughtfully prepared. I'm sure the owner will earn Super host status in no time. Highly recommend! We will definitely be back.

Very nice small house with many activities at the club. Do not recommend Oriental area generally based on visit but great place to stay if you want to remain on site. Pool and hot tub and restaurant all nice. Enjoyed our stay!

This home was ideal for a quiet and peaceful weekend getaway in coastal NC. The view from the patio was a major highlight. We enjoyed a lazy morning at home, poking around Oriental during the afternoon, and playing games back at the house in the evening. The yard was great for our dogs, and the house was a perfect size for the four of us. We would definitely visit again!

We felt right at home at the Rose Cottage. We were in town for a family event with a ton of people. This was exactly the sanctuary we needed to recover from an otherwise busy and slightly whirlwind trip. If you want to turn your visit to Oriental into something out of a storybook, stay here. Thanks for providing exactly the experience we needed. We look forward to booking Rose Cottage again the next time we are in town and need a place to stay. Thank You!

Had a blast was right on the water stayed last year at another place but wasnt on the water like this place had boat dock so that was really nice unloaded boat tied it up to dock didnt have to worry about anyone messing with your stuff because it was there personal dock so not having to worry about other people being around !my boat and belongings so our stuff was safe they have plenty of fishing rods and kayaks if ypu,just wanted go on a little kayak stroll out for a day. I really,liked how peaceful,it was just a good place and quiet will defintely be going back next year and planning on staying in the same place actually i couldnt believe how quiet it was nice deck on side of house if you want to read and drink ur coffee with a view didnt have to worry about neighbors very quiet and peaceful place!! Loved it!!!
