Holiday rentals with a kayak in Parua Bay

I absolutely loved everything about my stay at the Piki Cottage and can highly recommend it. It is so peaceful, private and relaxing, has everything you need, plus the hosts are so generous, friendly and quick responding. There are so many things to do in the surrounding area, or you can enjoy and explore this wonderful huge garden. I could have stayed forever. Thank you for everything!

We had a wonderful weekend away at Nikki’s classic kiwi bach! The location is so beautiful, and it was great to be right on the waterfront. The Bach is lovely and had everything we needed for a great stay. I only wish that we could have stayed longer! Nikki is a friendly, helpful and responsive host. Hopefully we will get to come back again one day!

We had a wonderful weekend and created some truly beautiful memories in this stunning home. The fireplace was a lovely touch, especially during the chilly mornings and evenings. The kitchen was modern, stylish and very practical, with a massive island bench that worked perfectly for our group. It made cooking and sharing meals together so easy and enjoyable. The hosts were readily available through the Airbnb app whenever we had questions, and they graciously allowed us a slightly later check-out as we were having such a beautiful weekend. The instructions for using the house facilities and checking out were clear and really helpful. The spa pool was amazing and added an extra layer of relaxation to an already perfect weekend. I will definitely be coming back again. Thank you for such a memorable stay.

Beautiful stay! Anne’s cottage was immaculately clean, tidy and super comfortable. It had everything we needed for our 2 night stay and we will definitely be back next time we are in the area. Highly recommend!

Anne was incredibly responsive on messages. Made us feel welcome and we had a lovely stay at her Airbnb. The location is incredible, right by the sea. The kayaks and paddle board were a great addition. We were very lucky to have even seen some dolphins while kayaking. Wish we could have stayed longer !

Lovely place to stay. Very well equipped. Great for family group of 3 generations. Great views from all rooms and always something happening on estuary. Pool table, spa , pizza oven and kayaks provided great variety of options. Highly recommend

We very much enjoyed our time at Karen and Grants place. We were 2 adults and 3 kids and had plenty of space, and even quite some toys and books available. The area around the bay is wonderful and offers a lot of nice walks and beaches. It is definitly a space worth on our list of go-there-again places!

Pataua South is a gem. The spot is idyllic and having two large decks gives you outside options depending on the weather. The kitchen is well appointed. The only thing I'd suggest is providing a hardcopy of all the 'operating instructions' so many remotes and appliances that for the technologically challenged, having those handy would have been helpful. Possibly crossing the tie downs on the spa pool would also keep the lid on better and stop sand getting in, so it could be used. On the scale of things though, so minor and doesn't detract from the wonderful setting and fabulous amenities. Highly recommend. Thanks Cassie and Laurence.

We were absolutely blessed to stay here for my 21st celebration. It was everything we could have wanted and more. Sally and Kevin were amazing and helpful with everything right from the moment we got there. A truly beautiful spot. Highly recommend:)

Lovely family home with all that the description and photos promise and much more! A once in a lifetime location. We stayed here for the last days of our NZ trip and really appreciated relaxing and exploring the area and fabulous beaches north and south. A big thank you Carol!

Janes place is incredibly beautiful. The sun shone down into a little piece of paradise and we did some fishing (and caught fish) right in front of the house! Truly magical spot and Jane was warm and generous 🍃 I will 💯 be back again

Fantastic views and space for the price! This is perfect for all types of occasions with a group of family or friends. The host was responsive and we were given clear instructions on everything regarding to the house, check in, directions, recycling, etc! Highly recommended!

Jeremy & Andrea were helpful and friendly. We had a fantastic stay! The place was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The location was ideal, just a short walk to the beach, which was perfect for morning and evening walk One of the highlights was definitely the wood-fired pizza oven. It was such a fun we really enjoyed making pizzas and spending the evening outdoors

We had an excellent time at Lisa. Lisa wa super helpful and accommodating.

Kathryn’s place was amazing! We loved our stay. I couldn’t believe how well stocked it was. Everything we needed was there. It was extremely comfortable. The hospitality was so welcoming and we felt right at home. The view and the serenity take the cake though. Not often you get ocean, mountains, pastures, cows etc all at one place. Definitely recommend.

Rodger's Post is an absolute gem. It's simultaneously rustic and modern, very well appointed, extremely private yet accessible, and the hosts are spectacular. Everything you need is there, and it's incredibly clean. The location is rural but there's a pub a short jaunt down the road if you're up for some billiards and a pint or two, and a grocery store up the road in the opposite direction. Within reasonable reach is Ocean Beach for relaxation and surf, Mt Lion and Mt Manaia for some intense hikes and ridiculous views, and even if you're not feeling adventurous simply staying put with the right company is just as awesome. My partner and I will be back, top tier property!

Diane’s place was absolutely lovely! The service was above and beyond, the place was nice and cosy. It was super convenient being right off the highway, but so quiet you couldn’t tell. Beautiful fruit trees on the property. The hosts were available and friendly but also gave us our space.

Really enjoyed our stay at Clive’s place. He was a great host with lots of good recommendations. Pataua south is a beautiful location and we hope to be back. Cabin was just what we needed and very tidy. Perfect spot for a dog and the beach is only 10m outside of your own private gate!

Sean and Becs are outstanding hosts, and the cabin (particularly it's location) exceeded our expectations. We are walking Te Araroa and stopped here for a rest day- so had no vehicle. Sean was more than happy to take us to the shops (5km away) when they were heading that way and dropped us back to the trail when we left. They offered us veges from the garden, helpful advice and were all 'round great hosts and really nice people. The location is amazing and not mentioned much in the listing- the cabin looks out over a grapevines and a sloping lawn to the harbour. It's peaceful and relaxing, and the shower (in a small separate cabin ) is excellent. We didn't use the sauna but it is located right on the waters edge. Highly recommended!

Such an incredibly beautiful and private spot right by the water, with breathtaking views from sunrise to sunset. The Bird Box is also perfectly formed, thoughtfully kitted out with every amenity - it’s absolutely gorgeous inside and out. We feel so very lucky we got to stay here, have a hot cuppa on the deck as the day dawns or after a wonderful day of adventure in around the area - there’s so much to explore. Maxine’s a great host too and made us feel so welcome ❤️ we absolutely loved our stay!

We loved our stay, beautiful surroundings and nice to get to explore them with the kayaks and paddle boards available. Belinda and her husband were above and beyond hosts, will definitely be back!
