The Dog House, Mere

Such a lovely wee place. So clean and comfy. Everything you need is there. Great location as so easy to get out sightseeing. Perfect location for dogs. Lots of fields and footpaths to explore. Lots within walking distance you don't need the car for local visits. Would recommend and we would return.

Barnyard Studio Flat

Susan JaneRating, 5 stars3 months ago
A wonderful stay in Tessa's tranquil loft - warm, clean, welcoming, full of light and peace, and a perfect place to write. Tasteful, aesthetic simplicity at its very best, with every attention to detail. A flavour of countryside history (looking out at the tithe barn!) but with modern comforts (and such a good mattress). 20 min walk into Mere across the fields. At night I slept with my window open a crack and listened to owls...

Cosy 1-bedroom cottage in Dorset

JewelRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a really wonderful stay at Angela’s cottage! Although small, it has everything you need for a great stay - tea, coffee, dog/cat bags, all dishes and utensils necessary to cook at home, etc. Plenty of local recommendations in pamphlets to look through. Very comfy sofa and bed as well. The shared garden outside is very beautiful, especially in the spring, with lots of flowers and insects buzzing about. Finally, Angela is a fantastic host - extremely responsive and thoughtful! We highly recommend if you’re visiting Shaftesbury!

The Cabin

KarlRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The cabin was stunning, in a nice quiet village, perfect for getting away from busy life. The accommodation was spotless and Janet the host was so attentive, helping out with all our needs. There was a lovely garden area which was very scenic with a little fish pond to keep you company. All the amenities were to a very high standard and I had no issues at all! The location is also great for walks and some lovely pubs nearby Janet gave some fantastic suggestions to make the most of the area and had a little guide inside for the area which was handmade and highly appreciated!

Off-grid Cabin, Outdoor Bath, 15 min from Bruton

MaryRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
I loved staying in this cabin, it’s beautifully designed and set in a peaceful location - the perfect atmosphere to relax and reconnect with yourself. The hot tub is surrounded by lovely trees and birds, which make the experience so wonderful. Also, I treated myself to the optional massage you can request to have either in the house or outside, and it was heavenly - thanks Hattie! Connie and Jasper were super responsive, kind and helpful throughout my visit. I definitely hope to come back for another stay soon.

The Byre

RuthRating, 5 stars1 month ago
When we arrived at Byre cottage we certainly got the wow factor. When we entered the cottage we got the wow, wow, wow factor. A wonderful space with lovely decor especially the beautiful framed photos. It was spotlessly clean and so well equipped you wanted for nothing. The outside space was very private with a beautiful view. Myself, my partner John and our dog Mimi live in London on a busy main road and just wanted to relax in the peace and quiet which we totally did. However there is so much to do in and around the area. Although you are in the gorgeous countryside you are not far away from local shops and supermarkets. Victoria was the perfect host. We definitely want to return.
