Leaping Deer Ranch had the most remarkable amenities of any place our family has ever stayed (and we’ve stayed at some incredible places.). Colin was so responsive and helpful, yet out of the way during our stay. The people on staff were amazing as well! The ranch is stunningly beautiful and worth every single penny. My only regret is that we would have stayed longer and explored the property more! We hope to be back another time.

Beverly greeted us upon arrival with margaritas, homemade guacamole & queso. It was an incredibly relaxing stay that had everything we needed & more. The super easy check out allowed us to keep the relaxed mood as we left. We look forward to staying again.

If you are looking for the perfect place to be in the woods and see lots of wildlife look no further. This place was in the perfect location as it is right next to the golf course where all the elk love to hang out. We saw lots of elk and mule deer during our stay here. The place is super welcoming and we felt right at home. The beds were extremely comfortable. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay and explore Ruidoso!

My two friends and I were visiting for a conference and we were so enchanted by Melanie and Paul's beautiful and peaceful property. The beds were so comfortable that we fell asleep immediately. We had such a nice time chatting with them the next morning. I wish we could have stayed longer - hopefully will be back next time we're in Santa Fe! Thank you!

This was our second stay and I have to say we will always look to see if this is available first. Unbelievably peaceful, fenced yard for your pups if traveling with them, the only thing is the stickers but those are unavoidable I believe those are just a part of West Texas. We love this area for its unique beauty and the tranquility. Will always look forward to future trips to this area

We enjoyed the stay at Andrea's place and would come back again. Peaceful, quite, so many stars in the sky, and internet was good enough for vacation. Location was great! Palo Duro Canyon right next door and easy access to the highway. We appreciated having some games to play, the screened porch, fresh eggs, and conversations with Andrea.

Jan and Filbert were fantastic hosts, and their place truly felt like a home away from home. Jan thought of every little detail to make our stay comfortable—from the welcoming touches to the fresh eggs and wine waiting for us in the kitchen. Meeting the dogs and horses were an absolute delight and added to the charm of our stay. The house and grounds were exactly as listed—peaceful, beautifully maintained, and perfect for stargazing at night. The towels and bedding were top-notch, with a thread count that rivaled luxury hotels, making it easy to settle in and get a restful night’s sleep. The location is a perfect base for exploring the area. We did day hikes at White Sands, explored Lincoln National Forest, and enjoyed scenic canyon trails nearby. Whether you're cooking in—Jan’s kitchen setup is excellent—or heading out to eat, you’ll have great options. Don’t miss PistachioLand; their ice cream is a must-try!

Very cozy little spot! The bed and sheets were so comfy. The Texas book was hilarious and spot on! Loved Poppy. (dog) 😊 Host was amazing. Will definitely stay here again. 👍

We loved our stay, it was perfect for our family of four. Megan was proactive and helpful with check-in instructions. When we arrived we felt right at home in this cute, comfortable and spotlessly clean home. I also appreciated that there were lots of towels for our use, like being at home! We loved watching the stunning sunset and sunrise from the porch swing too. It was a great location for our visit to Palo Duro Canyon which was the reason for our trip. I would highly recommend this property!

I stayed here for the duration of a multiple month long job in Hereford. They were beyond nice, helpful, and accommodating for my long term stay. I would stay here every time we have a project in the area.

This was a very peaceful stay. Very fun to watch storms roll through, and you can see for miles. Lots of room for kids to run and play. Has the perfect location to visit Palo Duro Canyons. Overall we all felt at home and had an amazing time, and many great memories. Thank you! We hope to return for future trips.

Great place to stay with some great views of wildlife

My son picked up this place because he wanted to experience farm life. Yes indeed, he and I had a short stay with a wonderful farmer style experiences. The owner kindly showed us their cows and checks and let us feed them. They also explained the traditions and the unique festivals of their community activities. We definitely want to go back next time when we have a chance.

Darlien is a great host and is very responsive. The location is great and the cabin was just what we needed. Definitely would stay here again.

We loved Fiona's place! It was perfect for a getaway with two kids and two dogs. We enjoyed the fenced backyard and being able to walk to restaurants and parks. We will stay here again!
