Holiday rentals with a kayak in Penobscot County

Great location. Woke up to the sounds of birds. very responsive. I would have given it a 5 star all the way, David was amazing and responded in a very timely manner. But, the turn over service could have been much better. The previous guest left a wine bottle in the automatic fridge ice dispenser and it was unfounded until my family found a large peice of glass in their drink, serious hazard to drink glass. Should have been spotted by the turn over service but, who would check the ice maker for a bottle a wine? I understand that. Very uncommon and unfortunate for us. David responded in a very fast manner and gave us options to accommodate the situation. I would have left a 5 star if this was the only thing but everything was so unorganized in the kitchen, they had everything but nothing made sense to why it was there. Sink didn't drain. There were also stains on the sheets and a pizza box left by the fridge that wasn't ours. Little things but the turn over service was a let down.

The location of the house was perfect for our visit to Acadia. It was very quiet and serene with beautiful views of the lake. We enjoyed fishing off the dock and the fire pit at night. We highly recommended this hidden little gem.

I live nearby but had friends visiting from Germany and wanted them to have the "camp" experience. The house is beautiful and very comfortable. My friends loved it as well as being right on the lake. The place was exactly as described and we felt right at home. I'm hoping this place is available whenever we have friends visit because I would definitely book it again.

Took a family trip to Acadia and this was a great place to stay. The house was very comfortable and enjoyed the on-site hiking trails and sitting down at the lake and having a wine. Appreciate the quick response from the owner when I had a question. Great getaway!!! Thank you for a memorable stay!

Kevin and Cathy's place is spotlessly clean and in a pristine and serene setting. Great location on the lake with views of sunsets and sunrises. The kitchen and baths appear to be renovated and are in spotless condition with lots of supplies. We really didn't need a thing. There was never a need to reach out because instructions and pre-checkin in communications had already answered everything. We didn't use any of the many kayaks (a bit too chilly) but we did enjoy the firepit. We like the layout, with bedrooms on the top floor and living space downstairs - adults could sleep in while kids were free to have breakfast and play downstairs. I can't think of anything to add or change about this lodging. It was a wonderful visit.

Majestic Point was the perfect accommodations for our stay. We were visiting Maine from PA for a graduation. Pushaw Lake was absolutely beautiful. The house was right on the water. My daughter and her friend were able to use the kayaks, cool off in the lake, and hang out on the dock. They also made use of the air hockey & foosball table. The lake house was very peaceful and private, so relaxing. We look forward to staying at Majestic Point again in the future.

Beautiful location, accommodating host and very responsive and flexible. The place is a hidden gem right next to the lake. It is in a very secluded setting, definitely worth it.

Amazing place with everything you could need. So great that they let us use the kayaks and dock. The house was the perfect size with lots of hangout spots. The neighbor’s dog came to visit several times and was so sweet! A bit far from things but that’s no problem because we wanted to spend pretty much all our time at the house if we weren’t at Acadia! We absolutely loved our stay! Kevin and Michelle were excellent hosts exceptionally friendly, responsive, and helpful. Although gps was undependable, they gave excellent driving directions from an easily found spot with dependable gps coverage. Kevin and Michelle truly have a slice of paradise. Their cabin was beautiful, comfortable, and well maintained. Yards surrounding cabin were so tastefully landscaped with beautiful flowers everywhere. Just imagine a spot in the mountains with snow on mountain tops, a nice sandy beach, free kayaks and canoes, big lake with fish, loons and all kinds of wildlife. Follow this with a spectacular sunset and you have Windy Point!

A little slice of heaven! The Nest was everything we hoped for and more. The sunsets over the crystal-clear lake were stunning, but what really struck us was how long the colors linger in the sky up here, creating the most peaceful and relaxing mood to close out each day. The cabin itself was cozy, thoughtfully designed, and the perfect size for our getaway. We left feeling refreshed and grateful, already looking forward to a return visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Had everything we possibly needed (except a lobster pot :)). It was clean, comfortable and beautiful view. Can't ask for anything better on Sebec Lake. Our family will surely return in the future. Thank you Janice for sharing a piece of your home.

Can’t say enough about Craig’s beautiful lakeside cottage. If you like remote, peaceful and being close to nature this is for you. The house and contents seemed brand new and they had thought of everything we could want, right down to pancake mix, maple syrup and Maine blueberries for our breakfasts. An easy drive to Acadia. Craig was communicative, friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic stay and hope we’ll be back.

This cabin is the perfect location for a peaceful retreat. When we showed up, we were amazed at how quiet and serene the atmosphere was. The pictures from the listing are what drew us in but even they don’t hold up to seeing it in person. We had a great night out by the fire pit and the Traeger was easy to use for grilling up food. The cabin is very clean and updated. The nights were clear while we were there, and it is amazing how many stars are up in the sky when you’re away from the lights of big cities. If you are looking for a quiet place to get away, look no further. This cabin is perfect for a couple looking to escape and enjoy the peace of nature surrounding them.

We loved our one week stay at the cabin! It was really wonderful living right at the lake, having breakfast outside, kayaking, going swimming almost every day and just enjoying the time doing nothing or reading. We also went hiking in the nearby State Park which was great. The cabin was very cozy and had everything we needed. Communication with Kim was really easy-going. We definitely recommend the cabin to anyone who wants to get away from everything for a while.

We stayed at the lake house for a month and had an absolutely wonderful time! The host was very friendly and helpful. We especially loved the log furniture—it added such a cozy touch. The house was well-stocked with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Truly a home away from home. Thank you!

This was our second stay at Brian's place, and it was just as beautiful and peaceful as we remembered. The serene atmosphere and stunning views made it the perfect getaway. Brian was a fantastic host, and we truly felt at home. We will definitely be back!

After getting things clean we enjoyed 28 days was not good weather went back to take care of our mothers things was good to have this place to come relax in would rent again even tho it wasn’t cleaned they tried to make things right loved the cabin

My husband, toddler, dog and I had a tremendous stay at Joshua’s camp. The description matched the photos exactly—and quite honestly, the camp is even better in person. We loved our time here, and wish we’d had longer! It’s in a gorgeous location with endless opportunities for hiking (even outside of Baxter SP 🙂) within a reasonable distance nearby. We found it rustic, but it had everything we needed to be comfortable (even when the power went out during a windstorm). Joshua was a very responsive and communicative host, and we would love to stay here again!

The cabin was awesome. Lindsey was great and extremely quick with responses. My only suggestion would be to have some written directions for the road as are our GPS was struggling to locate the place at night, but still not difficult. Place had everything we needed, great water activities, and neighbors were awesome too. Would 100% rebook.

I cannot say enough good things about this airbnb. The scenery was so beautiful, like walking out into a fairytale tale. We visited in the fall which enhanced everything. The cabin was very comfortable, the bed was super comfy. It has everything you need including peace, serenity, and good vibes. We will be back!

Tammy and Randy made us feel right at home. We had everything we needed, and all the things we didn’t know we did! The kayaks were awesome and the full face snorkeling masks were a blast! The kitchen was perfectly outfitted with anything we could imagine, and the whole cottage was so comfortable. If you’re thinking of a peaceful retreat please don’t hesitate to book Tammy and Randy for your vacation. We will be back!

An amazing little sanctuary! It was peaceful and relaxing. It was so nice to sit on the deck and listen to the River running and birds chirping. Fish weren’t biting but we still had an amazing time! Highly recommend.

Mark and Julie’s house had everything one could ask for! Right on the water with an amazing view; within walkable distance to the best brewery and restaurant in town; and close enough the NEOC rafting outfitter to make an early check-in feel rather seamless. Our group traveled with 8 individuals and the house fit us all comfortably. Mark was also very responsive and expressed an authentic care for our trip. All in all, we would certainly recommend his house to anyone else interested in visiting the pastoral town of Millinocket!
