Original 1990 settler Cottage situated in a Native Bush Setting close to small creek. Tui and Bell Birds abound and a feeder is set up on the deck from where you can sit and watch them feed. Wake up to the dawn chorus. The Cottage is very private, set a short (5 minute) walk from owners house. Property is on a hill situated in 70 acres with Protea Plantings, Native Bush and lots of tracks to explore. Hosts happy to drive guests up to cottage if their vehicles are not suitable. Off Grid.

The Herb Farm Cottage - An Idyllic Rustic Retreat

The Herb Farm Cottage is a world of it's own in rural Grehan Valley. Here in the country garden stream side setting of the former Herb Farm (New Zealand's first opened in 1976) you will find the original cottage with the ground floor studio/bed sitting room and adjoining parlour. Relax and enjoy the special setting of flowers, wishing well, native bird life, frogs, friendly free range chooks, ducks on the pond and a great night sky. All just a 15 minute stroll to the village and seaside.

Akaroa harbour view studio is a light, bright and cosy space. The studio enjoys uninterrupted views of beautiful Akaroa harbour both from inside and from the private deck. You will feel relaxed and at home with a super comfy queen bed, seating area and well-appointed kitchenette. The studio is a 5 minute drive, or a pleasant 20 minute stroll along the beach road to the centre of Akaroa. The studio also has a bedroom with bunks and will suit couples or families with 1 or 2 small children.

A private, peaceful retreat with amazing sea views & abundant birdlife. Just a short drive from Akaroa township (3km) & nestled in native bush, situated on 3 hectares overlooking Akaroa Harbour. Our queen room is attached to our home & is suitable for independent stays. Enjoy sea views from you room with a seperate entrance, your own bathroom, free wifi & SkyTV & private use of a shared outdoor spa pool. Please note : not suitable for under 12 years of age. The Red Bus

This unique contemporary cosy bus is fully self contained for your comfort with a hot shower, kitchen and bathroom and a pot belly stove. It has it's own private garden and parking. It is private, warm and tranquil, surrounded by nature. It is within walking distance of the Little River cafe and art gallery, and close to the rail trail (biking), bush walks, the Hilltop tavern for food and music, beautiful beaches and Akaroa. The bus is great for couples, and solo adventurers.
