It is surrounded by extensive gardens including a clean and private pool .Sean and Bridget gave us a warm welcome and provided us with recommendation for places to go and things to do. What a great place to relax and enjoy the Périgord countryside.

One of the most unforgettable journeys of our lives. Our first time in the region, and Château de Belcayre made it magical. Perfectly located — close to shops yet surrounded by nature — it felt timeless. Birdsong, swallows, and the peaceful river created a serenity we’ll never forget. We bought fresh products from the market, cooked in the beautiful kitchen, and slept deeply in silence, waking to birdsong. Days passed in harmony: enjoying the château, taking photos, and living in the moment. It was so perfect we didn’t want to leave, even for nearby villages. We came as close friends and all agreed — it was our most magical vacation ever. The hosts’ warmth, care, and attention to detail made us feel truly welcome. Thank you for preserving this extraordinary place with such love. We were lucky to stay here — and hope to return one day.
