The house is an absolutely charming combination of old & rustic with tasteful decorations and modern amenities. The design of place is really smart and well considered. It is located in a really, really quiet spot and is very peaceful and beautiful. The closest town (Mogadouro) is maybe a 15 minute drive away. And there are lots of places to visit in the area by car. Rui is a great host. Responsive and helpful. We were looking for a place to stay with our dog to escape the fireworks during the São João celebrations in our part of Portugal. Rui assured us we would have a peaceful time at his place and he was 100% right.

Wir bekamen viele Infos vom Check in bis zu möglichen Aktivitäten lange vor Beginn der Reise. Daniela war zu jeder Zeit ansprechbar und äußerst bemüht um jedes Anliegen. Sie organisierte uns einen kompletten herrlichen Tag im douro Tal angefangen mit einer phantastischen Zugfahrt über eine private Bootstour bishin zu einem köstlichen Lunch mit anschließender Tour über ein altes Weingut mit Kellerei und Verkostung. Wir werden uns noch sehr lange daran erinnern. Auch Ihre Restaurant Empfehlungen in unmittelbarer Nähe waren der absolute Knüller. Bitte daran denken, dass man sich auf dem Land und weit von Urbanität befindet und auf jeden Fall ein Auto benötigt. Der Pool war der Himmel nach einem heißen Tag unterwegs im alto douro und die Aussicht vom cottage ein Traum. Zum Frühstück kannst du dir einen leckeren Korb bestellen. Ansonsten ist die Küche für die Zubereitung von Mahlzeiten eher klein. Wir haben uns komplett wohl gefühlt und können diese Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen.

We as a group had the most special time at Miguel’s Airbnb - the house was beautiful, the view was unbelievable and the communication throughout our whole trip was flawless. Ana was super responsive through the week, even bringing us a BBQ! We had a fantastic meal at Restaurant Pena, the Beef Cheek was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. The service couldn’t have been better - would highly recommended to all staying locally. I will note, you’d have to hire a car to stay here. The local roads are super steep but very fun to drive. Thank you all for the trip, it was brilliant. We had the best time and would love to revisit in the future!

José Antonio ist ein absolut freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Mensch. Es gab Kaffee und viele Gewürze, Öl etc. Er hat uns Wanderwege erklärt, war jederzeit erreichbar, Parkplatz vor dem Haus. Man konnte draußen essen und es war einfach mega! Vielen Dank dass wir hier sein durften. Wir lieben Spanien und jetzt: noch viel mehr!!!!

Estadia muito boa. Local calmo, casa impecável. Apenas tem bastantes bichos, o que é normal na zona em que está inserido.

Una casa preciosa en un entorno espectacular. Todas las necesidades para sentirte como en casa pero en un lugar muy especial. Ideal para un retiro y desconectar.

Thank you Tania for our amazing stay in Fafião!! We immediately felt at home and loved ever single thing. The guest book and Pin wall where all previous guests could leave their "personal message" was such a nice addition! The surroundings are beautiful (especially as seen from the jacuzzi ;)), and the local bars/restaurants/stores are run by the kindest people. Every single time we needed help, Tania responded immediately and with very detailed and useful answers! In case you are looking for a "remote" location where you can enjoy hiking during the day and relaxing at night, this really is the place for you. Once again thank you Tania for your hospitality, will definitely recommend you to anyone who wants to explore Peneda-Gerês :)

Só ficamos uma noite porque fomos especificamente para ver um evento em Vinhais, contudo, é muito agradável. Casa ampla, com tudo o que é necessário para uma estadia mais longa. Vistas bonitas, casa muito limpa e arranjada. Local sossegado e perto de vários locais de interesse. D. Paula muito simpática e responsiva às mensagens. Foi uma estadia curta, mas gostámos muito da anfitriã e da casa.
