Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Pico Island

No words can describe our experience at this amazing vila. It was absolutely amazing: the house itself is very well located, the views are stunning. Marcos and Diana were very helpful in everything we needed. Pico island is an amazing place on earth and to get to know the island like we did was only possible with this 5 star accommodation. We chilled, we had swims in the infinity pool, had great barbecues…I will be back for sure. Thanks to all the staff and especially to Marcos for all the hospitality and kindness.

Top accommodation, very clean and tidy as well as super practical. Everything available, kitchen very well equipped. Parking right outside the front door. Quiet location, good starting point to explore the island by car. Paulo was always very easy to reach - check-in went smoothly. Clear recommendation from us.

Great view, modern and well equipped house. Each bedroom has an own bathroom which is great + everything looks like in the pictures. The host was very flexible with the check-in and there were some welcome snacks and water upon arrival. We would come back :)

The house has been rebuilt according to the ancestral style. It's very nice and successful. The farm animals, the duck, chicken, and turkey eggs they tasted us were well appreciated. Hosts gave us lots of helpful information and were quick to respond to our messages. The house is well located for exploring the island. A tip, don't be like us. We followed our GPS and climbed instead of going down Caminho de Igreja street. If you follow the instructions to the letter, the path is fine.

We love the house. Marcelo was very friendly and hospitable. He welcomed us with a bottle of white wine, a loaf of bread, a big chunk of cheese, and a big bottle of water. He has provided lots of information regarding restaurants and sights. The house is very conveniently located. It is near the airport, close by to the ferry station and wine museum and restaurants and hiking trails. We had a wonderful stay. Thanks!

Paula's Azorean Home was a fantastic accomodation option for my family of three. We have a 1 year old, and suitable accomodation options aren't always easy to find, but Paula's home was perfectly set up for our needs and we felt at home in this most scenic and tranquil location almost Immediately. Paula left us fresh fruit, bread, butter, cheese, olive oil, baby foods and snacks, meaning we didn't need to run to the store nor bring anything with us. The table was set including a highchair, baby utensils and plates, their was a basket of toys and books for our child and a crib was set up in the second room. In every room, Paula has thought about what guests need to feel at home. Thank you for hosting us Paula, we hope to return again one day soon.

The house far surpasses the photos presented. Great outside space. We really like it, we marry all the communities for 3 couples and well-equipped with everything you need.

Pedro's house, casa Rosa Chá in Santo Amaro was the perfect place for us to explore the island of Pico. Quietly located, with a fantastic view of the sea and São Jorge. However, quickly and easily accessible from anywhere. The house was immaculately clean, the kitchen well equipped. Bed linen, towels all very nice and high quality. A wonderful place on the patio to eat with sunrise and sunset. Beautiful barbecue area with pizza oven can also be used in the rain. All around a perfect place for a vacation on the island of Pico. Particularly noteworthy is the great communication with Pedro, who had always taken care of making our stay perfect in advance. The welcome by Débora was warm and her detailed information about Pico was very helpful. Thank you for giving us a wonderful stay. We will be happy to come back.

We spent five wonderful days at Casa da Esquila, Very well located accommodation, 5 minutes walk from the Sea. Its central location on the Island facilitates those who want to visit the different points of Pico. The house is very well equipped and decorated, just like the photographs, having provided a very comfortable stay. Communication with Regina was very easy and fast. We traveled with a baby and had to request a cot and a papyrus seat, both of which were arranged without any kind of problem.

We absolutely loved staying at Margit’s home. It was so beautiful and we felt so at home there. Nestled between the mountain and the ocean, we could not have asked for a more perfect place to call home during our stay on the beautiful island of Pico! There is a short walk to a natural (slightly man made) pool next to the ocean where you can also jump into the ocean and there are stairs to climb out. there are no sand beaches on Pico so this is how you swim safely! It's great!

Casa da Paula is truly incredible: comfortable, clean, well-equipped and in a perfect location in Horta, with an awesome view of Pico and the harbour from the picture window and the huge roof terrace. Hope to return! Thank you Paula for your kindness too. It made our stay in Horta truly memorable.

This place had everything we could ask for. Beautiful clean interior with amazing views from both decks. A very short drive to the supermarket and anything else you could need. Hosts were responsive and willing help us with anything we needed.

We had a wonderful time at Paula’s place and really enjoyed our stay on the island Pico! It was a pleasure meeting Paula, she is a perfect host and very helpful. The appartment is well equipped and spacious, the village is lovely and you do have sea view from the sleeping room. I definitely recommend to stay with Paula in Santo Amaro.

A lovely flat which felt like a whole house. Private and spacious. Wonderful large and roofed terrace for those warm but rainy evenings. I'd certainly book this accommodation again when I return to Faial.

We stayed four nights at this place and really enjoyed it!!! The apartment is located in a quiet area where you can see and hear the ocean. We went out for dinner at Magma, as recommended, and fell in love with this restaurant :) We would definitely return to this apartment again!!!

The views from our Lava home were absolutely incredible! The free breakfast was good ,loved the Portuguese pastries and cake .All the staff that we encountered were pleasant and helpful . We ate at Magma several times and the food was very good . The only thing we didn’t like was the mattress,just a bit firm for us .

THE HOUSE IS AMAZING! Every part is perfect! It’s the only house that we stayed during our holidays that is decorated for Christmas, and you can feel the thoughtfulness from the host. Indeed the house is well maintained and you have everything needed for living here. Many check-in gifts. Amazing view of the sea and the volcano. Taisa is very kind and helpful. I really hope to visit again.

Our vacation with Grandma and Grandpa was a great experience on the island of Pico and in the wonderful house of James. The house with pool was our favorite in the selection, so there is something for everyone. View, swimming area, pool, cozy retreats in the house and in front of it. It has everything you want. Only the weather cannot be influenced and therefore we still have an account to settle with Montana de Pico. That's why we'll come back and, if possible, definitely to James'.

This is an incredible property. Every detail has been thought of. The views are insane and the house is decorated impeccably. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food at Magma, their onsight restaurant, was the best we had in Pico. The pool and yoga studio, just breath taking. We loved our entire stay here and will return. Like others have said, the driveway is steep. Grab an automatic or be proficient with your manual car. We had a 7 person manual van and managed fine but we are comfortable with manual drive. Highly recommend!!! We didn't want to leave.

It was the best Airbnb experience we have ever had! Palmira and Mario are one of a kind. We have never met hosts being that friendly, welcoming and heartwarming like them before. We regretted that we only stayed for three days and can’t wait to come back. Only after this short period of time it felt like family we left behind when we had to leave again. Besides that they also own a fantastic house with a terrace (and room) that offers the best view over Lajes and the ocean. If you decide to stay with Palmira and Mario you will have an unforgettable holiday for sure. We want to thank them again and will always keep in mind - LIFE IS GREAT!

It was evident a lot of hard work and care went in to building this place. What a beautiful stay! We were fortunate we had perfect weather to see the mountain in the background. It was a bit intimidating before the hike to the top! However, we made it and had a nice one level place to rest our sore knees and make a delicious meal! A very memorable experience! I hope future guests have the same luck as us.
