Family-friendly holiday rentals in Pierce County

My family and I selected Aaron and Colleen as hosts based on their five-star rating and safe location. However, we received more than what was expected. The first day, we were met with a personalized note, chocolates, and drinks in the fridge, including homemade cold brew! Such a thoughtful touch made us feel right at home. We were busy with family activities in the city, so we didn’t use the Peloton, hot tub, or sauna as expected. Still, returning to immaculate, extremely comfortable, stylish accommodation was lovely. The mattress was perfect! We also enjoyed listening to various records on the record player while playing cards and board games; it felt nostalgic. We enjoyed our stay, to say the least, and hope to revisit our experience at some future time.

This is by far the cleanest Airbnb ever. Since we are a group of snorers, we had to try out the 2 couches in the adorable nooks and they were perfect. Appreciated the electrical outlets. All typical travel issues that I usually encounter were solved here. Stay at Aaron and Colleen’s. You won’t regret it.

Great place. Eric had wonderful recommendations for walkable restaurants and other things to do in the area. The yard and garage area were a hit. Very friendly host.

It was even nicer than the photos, with a beautiful back yard, fun pool table, very clean. Jill was very responsive.

Great place to stay! Easy to get around Minneapolis. This is the best stocked, most organized rental we have ever been to. Sarah has truly thought of everything to make your stay the best.

We enjoyed the experience of the tree house. Very clean, everything we needed to stay was there,kitchen,bathrooms,accessories. Beautiful setting,fun experience.

The hosts, Katie and Curt, were very friendly and responsive. The hot tub on the patio was a big bonus. I also enjoyed relaxing in the hammock and watching the trolley go by through the woods ($3 to take the short historic ride). And just a few minutes to walk to Lake Harriet pavilion to take in some live music or walk around the lake. I’m excited to come back sometime for this relaxing get-away!

The rave reviews are true! Perfect and spacious home for our multigenerational family stay for Carleton College’s graduation weekend. Thoughtful details abound and the home is supplied with every creature comfort imaginable. The back porch and relaxing room off the main bedroom had beautiful views of trees and birds (and squirrels!) eating from the birdfeeders. Barry was the perfect host and answered all of our questions promptly. We hope to be back next time we are in the area. Thank you!

Overall we greatly enjoyed staying and would stay again! The location is awesome for exploring downtown Stillwater and the surrounding area. It had enough space where it didn't feel like we were on top of each other. It is right on main street but none of us really had an issue with road noise, unless we're really good at blocking noise out. The only main struggle was that some of the outlets didn't work so at night time when trying to plug a fan in we struggled to find a working one close to the bed. When I had questions Cheris was very quick to reply and her responses were very helpful! Another downfall that is outside of Cheris's control is that there is no designated parking spot for the loft. It does come with a parking pass which is very nice (!) but if you're not familiar with Stillwater parking, it can fill fast. You sometimes might have to do a few laps to find a close spot to the loft but Stillwater does off ample parking within walking distance.

The loft is artfully decorated, and done well. We enjoyed our short time there and would have loved to stay longer just to enjoy the charming space . You can see the river and the busyness of Main street from the upper level. We recommend The Oasis for breakfast ! The Apple French toast with cornflake coating was the best French toast I have ever had in my life!!

Josh & Layl’s place is exactly the kind of quirky, character-filled place we love to stay when traveling. The apartment is full of art, books, and games. We are part of a large extended family and the dining table was inviting for long talks and laughter. The location was fantastic for us as we could walk to a cousin’s home and the Windom Park. Holy Land is always a favorite and it’s practically next door. 10/10 recommend.

We enjoyed The Cottage very much. It was a great getaway weekend for our 30th anniversary. We appreciated the Black Rooster Bistro recommendation! Best meal we have had eating out in a while!!! We wish Kay all the best with the space. It’s so relaxing and cozy!

The place was solid. We loved the location and loved that we could bring our doggies along w us. The kitchen pretty much had everything you could need, and the bathroom was even stocked with sanitary supplies, which I thought was a sweet touch. The house is wacky, but in a cool good way. I’d be back for sure.

Great location, easy street parking, and there is everything you need in the apartment though it is quite small.

The apartment was great! The neighborhood is very nice, beautiful, and walkable, very close to the university. The check-in was smooth. It was amazing for our weekend trip to the Twin Cities.

What a wonderful stay! My husband and I spent a week scouting neighborhoods for our upcoming move to the area, and this was a perfect place central to everything we needed. Brenda and Brian were very responsive, and it's apparent that they put a lot of thought into the unit. We bumped into Brian the day before our departure (they live in the downstairs unit) when he was working in the garage, and had a lovely conversation. You can tell they really enjoy hosting, and we will absolutely recommend friends and family book this when they come to visit us after our move. The parking spot in the back is a great bonus, and we felt very safe here. There's a busy street nearby, but we weren't ever really bothered by traffic noise inside. We walked around the neighborhood at night and felt very safe as well. Lovely tree lined streets all around too.

Deb is the sweetest host! She was very communicative throughout our experience and even came out to greet us, chat, and give us a tour upon our arrival. She is very thoughtful with the set up with an abundance of bonus amenities- snacks, coffee, toiletries, robes, games, etc. It felt like staying at a relative's home. Would definitely stay again! Thank you so much for the pleasant and comfortable stay 😃

Rupinder is an excellent host. He has an eye for detail. It was nice to have coffee and cream, sparkling water, and plenty of other items in the well stocked apartment. Lots of comfortable pillows and the beds were excellent too. It was very quiet and we slept well. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay.

Can’t say enough about this cozy space, with a living room large enough to really sprawl out and plants perking out everywhere. Walkable and green neighborhood, Peter’s fantastic list of local recs for food and coffee and more — nothing not to love.

We enjoyed the size and amenities of Rebecca's airbnb. The single car garage access was an especially nice touch. Do note our compact sedan was a smug fit and large vehicles would likely not fit. The full kitchen was great. The bathroom was great. I loved the timeless quality furniture that did not overwhelm the space. I also liked that the home asked guests to not wear shoes inside as we do the same in our home. Check in and Check out were a breeze (no chores required). 10/10

Really peaceful location and easy to zip around to different locations around the Twin Cities. Large living room for local and out of town family to gather and visit, the weather was crap while I was there so we didn’t get to utilize the outside spaces. Looks very nice and well kept outdoor areas though! The only downside was that the beds are a little hard (my family and I like softer mattress tops!) and the steps can be a bit daunting, the only Queen bed is located upstairs. Overall I highly recommend this location, Catherine is very sweet and accommodating!

Victoria was a great host. The only complaint I would have would be the alarm system yelling you are being filmed. I understand the point and wasn’t worried about the security system: it just scared me half to death each time lol. I also was afraid of waking up other people by setting it off. Other than that it was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend staying here.
