Birch Cottage with woodland sauna

OliverRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a really lovely time at Birch cottage. Despite only staying for a couple of days we felt right at home and fell in love with the area. The house is well equipped and beautifully decorated, and the Sauna was a fantastic experience. Phil was very helpful and went out of his way to make us feel welcome, I'm sure we'll be back in the not too distant future!

The Riverside Retreat

EmmaRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Just got back from 2 nights, we had the best time. We've had a stressful time prior to this stay but have both come home feeling so relaxed and happy! Exactly as described and just perfect if you want to switch off. We loved the kitchen area and made some nice food. Also had 2 nights of the best sleep as the bed is so comfy! Vanessa and her family were so welcoming and helpful. If youre thinking about booking....do it!

Colourful family Cottage decorated by local Artist

Beautiful home and perfect location for exploring the Forest of Dean. Only noteable downside would be the noise from traffic, but everything else perfect.

Harebell: homely hideaway

NeilRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Absolutely gorgeous place to stay. Peace and quiet - just what was needed. Sheep and goats are inquisitive without being overbearing (though opening the curtains to find one of the goats staring at me from on top of the wall was a bit of a surprise) - just be prepared to wait for them to get out of the way whilst driving down to the cottage (or get out and wrangle them - which is a challenge in itself, with goats being goats!) Only had a brief interaction with Kate, as we got there a little early and cheekily self checked in - surprised Kate as she was bringing a fresh shower curtain - she also brought some fresh eggs from her hens, which tasted lovely (the eggs, not the hens - don't think she'd appreciate that!), but she was friendly, caring and made sure we knew the lay of the land. Will probably be booking again as both price and location were fantastic!

Great place to stay few days, very quiet and a lovely basket with goodies waiting for our arrival. And beautiful spots to visit, from Steam Trains to the amazing Wye Valley within 15 to 30 minutes drive!

Forest based 1-bedroom barn.

AlisonRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Katie’s place is cosy, clean, private and in a great location - within very short walking distance to the edge of the Forest of Dean but also within easy driving distance to other major road routes. She was a welcoming and responsive host and The Barn easy to find as per the map pin instructions. I loved the ingenious design of the hob/fridge/sink inside the cupboard, it makes use of the space really well. If you only need to be able to prepare breakfasts and simple meals, it’s ideal. Overall The Barn represents good value for 1-2 people visiting what is a beautiful part of the country.

Nuthatch Retreat - Laidback luxury with views

MayaRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Nuthatch Retreat was truly a gem! From the moment we walked in we were blown away. After a week in London, coming to the house was a much welcome retreat. Everything was well thought out and cozy. The recommendations were great and the hosts were wonderful about communicating. Our absolute favorite part of the house though had to be the owners sweet cat who would pop up for some belly rubs. We have already talked about wanting to come back in the future!
