House holiday rentals in Pōhara

It was a challenge to find a place that would fit our close family of 16 (adults and late teenagers) to celebrate the wedding of our daughter, but I am so pleased that we found Bay Ridge. We had a fantastic time , loved the gardens , the views and heaps of space. The short and scenic drive to Kaiteriteri beach was so easy as well as the walk to the delightful split apple rock and beach. It was such a pity that due to travel / arrangements we could not stay longer. Highly recommend the place and again thanx to Annie who is a fantastic host.

Stunning views, every minute in this beautiful building was amazing! The location is close to Split Apple rock, which was a cool mini hike. The Abel Tasman tour booths and pick up are less than a 15 minute drive away to book a trip out into the national park. There are penguins that come up to the property at night that are hilarious to listen to, we went to an aquarium a few days later and found a stuffed animal that sounded so similar that between our group we ended up getting three of these stuffies throughout the trip just because we'd heard them at this location and it was such a good memory to have made. I Wish we could have stayed longer. Hope we get the chance to again someday!

Wonderful stay at Matt and Lucy's. the home was well appointed with everything we needed. the pool and the spa was very good and we felt super relaxed and comfortable here. would happily recommend.

A wonderful home in a beautiful location with stunning views. We particularly enjoyed the pool, spa and being able to walk to amazing restaurants and wine bar. Sally and Wayne were friendly helpful hosts. Highly recommend staying

On arrival the bach was unfortunately not ready for us, but this was due to an oversight by the cleaner, not Emma. Emma was super quick to respond and very apologetic when we messaged about it and couldn't have been more prompt in getting things resolved which we really appreciated. After this initial blip we loved our four night stay here. The bach feels like the best of both worlds - an old family bach and the charm that comes with that, made even better with significant modernising updates like the massive glass doors, and all the other mod cons and extras (big fridge, dishwasher, washer and dryer, heatpump/AC, Chromecast, etc). It is off the beaten track and feels so peaceful and private. Being so close to the sea is a real treat. We would love to come back some time in the warmer months so we can make the most of the amazing outdoor areas and pool! (just a bit too chilly for us softies to swim in it at this time of year... we did love the outdoor fireplace though!). :)

This was our second stay at Bex & Nicks place. Again it was great for us being a large group with kids. Heaps of toys, bikes and space to keep the kids occupied. While also being a great place for an the adults. Its a beautiful place, that feels very quiet and peaceful tucked away on the hillside, but it's still very close to the city centre.

Nicky is a wonderful host, very responsive and helpful. The house is beautiful, and has been very thoughtfully equipped with everything you could possibly need (and more) for a lovely stay. Walking distance to parks and the beach. Thoroughly recommend.

Lovely, spacious designer home right by the sea. Someone has invested significant coin into this house at some point - you can almost control each light fitting independently if you have the patience!! Great new kayaks to use (with life jackets) and a well equipped kitchen, with two (or even three) fridges available!

We loved our stay at Hiromi’s Airbnb. Super close to shops and the beach, and in a beautiful spot to enjoy the view over the top of the church. We had plenty of space for our small family, including baby and dog. Highly recommend!

I absolutely loved staying here, it was so cosy and felt right at home. this home has beautiful views of the tasman region.

Amazing house in Glenduan. Beautifully decorated old Villa, nice and cosy with the warm fireplace and an amazing view. Very thoughtful host offering hot water bottles on a cold evening and very good communication. would definitely come back to stay here again.

Caroline’s home is spectacular for so many reasons! She has a beautiful home inside and out and the decor was top notch! Caroline was a very gracious and welcoming host … will definitley be back!!! Thank you Caroline we truly appreciate you!

Wonderful place and great house! We felt home right away. Unfortunately we had a couple of rainy days so we were really happy that we had the whole house to ourselves. The nice big and we'll equipped kitchen and the comfy living room let us enjoy our time despite the rain outside. We were welcomed with a well stocked fridge! Beverage, cheese and cracker plate, butter, jams and honey, eggs, homemade bread and more. We loved it!

Perfect stay for our family of 4! We loved the estuary views from the living room and kitchen. It was a quick and easy walk into town. The kids loved the trampoline and table tennis. The house was well appointed with all we needed. One of our favorite rentals during our 6 months in New Zealand, I highly recommend!

Stunningly beautiful location. If you want to be away from hustle and bustle it’s perfect. Close to some amazing locations in the area and the National Park. Great for a family get together lots of space and well kitted out with board games for the evenings.

We really enjoyed our stay. There were other people on the property but far enough away it still felt like we had plenty of our own space. We were a little confused when we booked if it was two actual bedrooms or not, but it isn’t which we clarified before we came. If part of your group is happy on a bed in the lounge or in a tent next to the house then this is a good option for your holiday. There is a lovely covered outdoor area which is where we spent most of our time when home. The kitchen was well stocked with cook and bake ware and when we didn’t have the basic pantry items we needed, Shanti sorted that for us. We fed the chickens and enjoyed some lovely fresh eggs. Location worked well for us, close to Takaka. Walking distance to Pohara beach and short drive to other lovely beaches.

Paul’s house and setting matched our expectations from the listing. It was very clean, tidy, spacious, warm and nicely furnished. The lounge, dining and kitchen area looked out across the garden to the beach. Unfortunately it rained for most of our short stay so we didn’t take as much advantage of the outdoor setting and facilities as we might have otherwise done. Despite that our party of 4 adults and 3 children all enjoyed our stay. The hosts were very welcoming and were quick to answer any queries we had.

Good accommodation in a great location. It is spacious, very well maintained and has everything what you need. The kitchen had even two good scissors. For some reason in most accommodation there are no scissors. We liked our stay a lot.

A lovely, warm and sunny place to stay. Ideal for us as we needed to be close to the hospital, otherwise it was just a short stroll to town or drive to the beach. Caroline & Gareth were amazing hosts.

Amazing news Nelson in a very comfortable house. The kitchen was super well appointed, and there was even a nice view from the kitchen sink. plenty of parking, both outdoors and in a garage. Walkable to the waterfront if you can handle a deep hill. Just a few minutes drive central Nelson.

Our 2 families had a wonderful stay at Marina's. We would highly recommend it and hope to be able to stay there again.

Samara’s place was beautiful with a gorgeous view and patio overlooking the coast. It was clean and had great instructions for everything. I loved the hike into town.
