It’s clear the experience has been carefully curated to complement the natural surroundings. Set near a quiet, secluded beach, it’s perfect for early morning walks with the sound of waves crashing reaching the bedrooms. The interior is equally charming - tastefully furnished with pieces collected from the owner’s travels, giving the home a personal, lived-in feel. I especially enjoyed the collection of thoughtfully chosen coffee table books. One on Geoffrey Bawa inspired me to explore his architectural legacy in Colombo, an unexpected and enriching highlight of the trip. The plunge pool is a welcome retreat after a hot day out, offering the perfect place to unwind. Having a car made it easy to explore the area, which is rich in dining options, beaches, and parks.

Staying with Thisarn and family was like Airbnb used to be - unique, special and like you were invited into the real heart of the country you are visiting. I felt so lucky to experience this little piece of paradise in the rice paddies. It was so peaceful to just sit and watch the nature. Such a calming place! Thisarn was so kind to escort me on a tour of the rainforest for a very reasonable fee, and is an expert at spotting creatures and making the whole experience fun. Meals were delicious and had that extra home cooked love! I would recommend this place to anyone who loves being in nature and just soaking up the local vibes of this small village. Also recommend using the infinity pool up the road by the national park entrance for a small fee. And swimming in the river near Thisarns home is lovely too. Thanks to Thisarn and family for their kindness.

Such a wonderful villa on top of the hill over looking the nearby Urakuruwa beach. Lovely big and well decorated room with balcony, kitchen and en suite bathroom. Stunning views over the beautiful garden, jungle and the ocean. Great breakfast and wonderful team who looked after us so well. Highly recommend.

We stayed at Aether Hilltop Villas for 4 nights and honestly, The views were amazing, the vibe was super peaceful. It’s one of those spots that actually looks better in real life than in photos — which is rare! This stay completely exceeded our expectations. Would 100% come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful escape. Also What really stood out was David’s hospitality, you can tell he truly cares about the guests and puts so much love into the place.

We had a great time at Tea House Villa. The place is very nice, in the middle on a jungle. The only downside is the way to get there is not very easy. You need a local driver to take you there - it's not very easy to get groceries or food. You need to plan this ahead. Other than that - the villa is very spacious and the pool was refreshing.

We just returned from the most unforgettable stay at this stunning private villa in the south of Sri Lanka, and we’re still floating from the experience! We were 3 families with 6 young kids (ages 3 to 8), and this place was pure paradise for all of us. From the moment we booked, the host Sophie was an absolute gem—warm, welcoming, incredibly responsive, and full of helpful tips to make our stay extra smooth. The villa itself? Breathtaking. Think lush gardens, open tropical spaces, beautifully designed rooms, and a serene vibe that instantly makes you feel relaxed and at home. It was spacious enough for our group to feel comfortable and connected, with plenty of areas for the kids to explore and the adults to unwind. And the staff! So friendly, so kind, and so attentive. But the real star of the show was Dias, the private chef, who absolutely blew us away with his who absolutely blew us away with his cooking. If you’re thinking of staying here—do it. This place is magic.
