Family-friendly holiday rentals in Pomena

This was the most beautiful place. The views were breathtaking and the apartment was spacious and comfortable. Edi was a great host and very accommodating. We fell in love with Hvar and if we ever came back, this is where I’d want to stay!

This was one of our favourite stays in Croatia. The accommodation far exceeded our expectations. Spacious apartment, perfectly equipped, tastefully furnished and sparkling clean. Quietly located, with fantastic views of the sea. This accommodation is outstanding. Natali is a warm, helpful and reliable hostess. We hope that we can come back one day.

We came to stay at Franos place for a week as we were getting married nearby. He was a great host and made the week great for us! Would recommend staying here :)

Amazing, spacious accommodation with a lovely terrace overlooking the beach and close to all the local amenities. Super restaurants within walking distance and good recommendations from the host who were friendly and responsive. We had a fantastic time. Thank you!

We are delighted with the accommodation! Fully equipped accommodation to the smallest detail, even a tablet for the dishwasher. We were greeted with a gift from the house (drinks, fruit,…). The host offered to wait for us at the agreed place to make it easier for us to find the house. We had the opportunity to check in early. Everything was clean and the host briefed us and gave us tips on local attractions. We'll be back!

By far the best Airbnb stay I've ever had! Josipa and her father were kind enough to transfer us to and from the Hvar town to the apartment (apartment is on a steep hill with steps). Josipa was really friendly and shared us some of her favourite restaurants and things to do on the island. The apartment was beyond incredible, the rooms were perfectly air conditioned and she provided lots of useful amenities including beach towels, slippers and a washing machine. The view was beautiful, you can see the Pakleni islands very clearly and Vis in the background. The hot tub was easy to use and fantastic in the evening. There were also plenty of furniture including sunbeds. The location was brilliant, it was only a 15 minute walk to a nearby public beach and was fairly easy to walk up and down to town in the evening, although be cautious during midday as there isn't much shade. There is also a supermarket about 15 mins away a few streets down. Great for couples or up to four people!

My whole family was obsessed with this place. The adults loved the beautiful scenery and the peacefulness and the kids loved the hot tub and the swings. The house is adorable and very nice and the views were even better than the pictures. We loved meandering around Humac and being close to so many interesting small villages to explore. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat on the island of Hvar, you will be hard pressed to find something better than Mario’s place.

Maya, her son, and father are amazing!!! Very friendly and accommodating. We spent the most time here during our 2 week Euro trip. Fantastic views from the balcony and a great place to relax with lounge chairs and a table to eat at. Right on the water with a great walk down to the shore where you can jump right into the sea! Space was modern, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom was SO nice. By far the nicest bathroom of anywhere we stayed. Maya's father took us out on his boat with his beagle. It was amazing. He knew the best spots, shared cool information/stories. It was a very authentic/non touristy experience. Maya let us borrow snorkel gear and that was beyond awesome because we snorkeled in the sea by the house but also on our boat trip which was truly special. She also provided homemade olive oil which was divine. WONDERFUL experience and stay.

We had a lovely stay here. The views were amazing and everything is within walking distance. Excellent host, very welcoming.

We enjoyed the stay with the family, and we regretted not having booked more days, because it was cozy in the apartment, and lots of experiences within driving distance. The apartment's terrace had a magnificent view of the sea, so we enjoyed our meals. On the second day, when we got home in the evening, our dog escaped out the door without us having seen it - it had discovered a cat and ran after it, even though the cat disappeared up an outside staircase and onto the roof, suddenly our dog had landed on the roof without being able to get down again. The hostess helped to lead, and fortunately she discovered where it was, so I could get up and save it down :-) We'll be happy to come back another time.

Calm and clean. Access to the parc is 15min by foot.

The apartment was spotless and communication before and during our stay excellent. The morning coffee and evening drink on the balcony overlooking the town and port was lovely. As we arrived earlier than check in it was nice being told to come and drop bags and sit by the pool. As it turned out the room was ready which was great. On our last day we were again offered the opportunity to check out late as our ferry was until the afternoon. Highly recommended

Would highly recommend this apartment for your stay on Korcula. The location is great, it’s peaceful and it’s a 10 minute walk to the old town. There is a corner shop 5 minute walk away. The kitchen had everything you need to make your own food which you can have on the terrace. We also appreciated the laundry facilities. Thank you!

We were looked after by Dina's cousin Antea, who was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. She looked out for us and made sure we had everything we needed. The accommodation was well equipped and spotlessly clean and comfortable. The view down to the harbour from the living room window and outside seating area was lovely. It was a five minute walk down to the harbour with its selection of restaurants and a supermarket - a few more minutes walking back up because you have a slope to climb, but that should not deter anyone who is averagely fit. We took a water taxi from Lumbarda harbour right to the edge of pedestrianised Korcula Old Town, which cost 15 euros return and ran every 30 minutes. This was nicer than going by road and not too unreasonable considering that parking anywhere near the town costs 5 euros an hour. The Old Town is beautiful and a more relaxing, less touristy and so more atmospheric version of Dubrovnik with lots of nice art studios.

We had a wonderful stay in Jelsa – the accommodation was exactly what we were looking for in a relaxing vacation. It is peacefully and idyllically located, yet just a 5-minute walk from the center of Jelsa, making it the perfect base for exploring the town and the island of Hvar. Our host Benko was absolutely fantastic – very friendly, helpful, and always available whenever we had questions or needed recommendations. You can tell right away that he genuinely cares about the well-being of his guests. The accommodation itself was clean, well-maintained, and well-equipped, with everything you need. We felt very comfortable and welcome, and truly enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. We would come back anytime and can highly recommend staying with Benko!

What can we say. We have just spent 10 wonderful days here and we enjoyed it so much. Breakfast on the terrace, walking to old town, wonderful trip around the islands with George not to mention the lovely wine he and his son make. The apartment was lovely. Thank you all. Max and Darrell.

This place is beautiful. The view from the terrace is absolutely stunning. We saw the stars and heard owls at night. Has everything you need to make breakfast and do some basic cooking if you can be bothered, but there's lots of places to eat in the likes of Bol, with quite a few still open in the shoulder season. It is next to another kind of boutique hotel/airbnb thing but you're still afforded relative privacy from the terrace. Marijan gave us solid instructions on how to get there, but we still drove past the turn off so better to get there in daylight if you can. You will need a car. All in all such an amazing stay, the island of Brač has so much to offer, and this is a particularly idyllic spot. Thank you!

Marko and Ivana have a delightful home and property! The pool is lovely and the €10 breakfast was absolutely amazing! Heavenly omelets and crepes! Loved meeting their sweet kitties and enjoyed the fresh eggs from their chickens. The apartment is quite spacious though we enjoyed eating breakfast and dinner outdoors. Nice to be walking distance from the Old Town, close to the ferry and a short drive to great beaches. Their communication was exceptional! Would love to return!

One of the best places we’ve stayed. The place was clean and spacious inside, but we spent most of the time in the beautiful outdoor area. The kids (8 & 11) played for hours in the pool and in the ocean and we enjoyed the lounge chairs. Vinko also gave us great restaurant recommendations. Would be our first stop on our next trip to Croatia.

Although we didn’t realize the pool wasn’t open during our stay (this info was a bit hidden), we enjoyed a comfortable and convenient stay at Admir’s :)

Lana was a fabulous host she responded quickly to my messages and had lots of restaurant recommendations, we also enjoyed the use of the bikes. The accommodation was stunning with a large pool area that was very private. The views from the apartment were beautiful looking up at the fort. The location was perfect it is only a short walk from the docks, restaurants and supermarket. If we were to come back to Hvar we would definitely be rebooking Villa Flora!

A wonderful week at Nico’s place. It was a great setup for the family - My daughter (4yrs old) loved the pool and the local catties. As for locations is ideally situated in the middle of the island - 25mins to the national park to the north and 28mins to glorious sandy beaches. We will back on the coming years.

The apartment house is special, great location, architecturally really well done. Compliment, therefore also the price-performance level!!!! very classy!!! I was on the island almost 40 years ago, back then only camping. This time we only ate once!!!! There were reasons for that. Unfortunately! That doesn't apply to Nicola and his team. But the people in public. In the supermarket, at the gas station, at the kiosk, especially in the restaurants (everywhere in Croatia) the employees or the staff talked more with colleagues than with us. A subtle condescending ignorance towards us, or the customers. Mega bad mood and seemed very dissatisfied. I wasn't greeted anywhere. No friendly hello, no bye, nothing! WHAT A PITY!!! Not to mention the value for money in the restaurant. Therefore! Rent a house at Nicola's, quickly shop a lot and enjoy the apartment, nature and sea. Best regards, Johannes

Very nice accommodation. Highly recommended! What is nice is that you can easily walk to the village where you have all kinds of restaurants, small supermarkets and a cozy little harbor. Highly recommended to rent a boat locally. 1 point for improvement is the limited cabinet space for your clothes. There were four of us and then 1 closet is a little bit. One tip is to order the food of the owner's mother. It's really delicious!
