Apartment holiday rentals in Port Douglas

We stayed for 7 days as a base to tour PD, Daintree and surrounds with a hire car. The apartment is as pictured and was perfect for us. The location is hard to beat - in the centre of town and yet we found no noise issues. Carolyn was super communicative and a good resource for advice on booking trips to the reef. The apartment is part of a Mantra resort complex, which is the pool pictured. (Pool was great temp, well maintained and was usually quiet).

This apartment was perfect for a family holiday. Spacious, clean and well appointed with free parking on site too. The swimming pool with sandy beach area was a real bonus. The location was perfect to be able to walk into town or to 4 Mile Beach and we were given some excellent recommendations for places to visit and restaurants. Ian was very responsive to messages and instructions were clear. We highly recommend this apartment and think it’s the best we’ve stayed in so far.

The apartment is as described - and more. The living area, bedrooms and kitchen were clean and very comfortable. The view from the balcony is nice and the double glazing helped eliminate any noise from the children enjoying the very, very large pool that winds throughout the resort. The winner for us was the large, private upper deck which featured the spa, sun lounge area, sitting / dining area and an outdoor kitchen with 'fridge, basin and BBQ. We made extensive use of the BBQ which had a backup gas bottle and a full set of implements. The kitchen was well stocked with the essentials and both glass and plastic glasses. While the apartment is a fair way out of the Port Douglas township, the local shuttle bus arrived quickly and dropped us wherever we wanted to go in town. The longest wait was 8 minutes and the return fare is a reasonable $15pp. The Pullman Sea Temple resort is showing its age although lots of cleaning and maintenance work was underway during our stay.

Honestly couldn’t have found a better place to stay. Location, absolutely perfect. Beautiful view and within a 5min walk you have tons of different restaurants, cafes and shops, a Cole’s, Kmart and bottle mart, but also lookouts, the marina and parks. Now the host, my goodness they are helpful and passionate people. With frequent updates and tons of recommendations, the thoughtfulness really went a long way. If you are looking to stay in Port Douglas, stay here.

The accommodation was so comfortable and super clean. The room had everything you needed plus more for a fantastic stay. The facilities are beautiful and relaxing with the highlight of the gardens and pool and delicious restaurant meals. Belinda was so friendly, easy to talk to and accommodating host. We loved our stay at Niramaya! It was beautiful, peaceful and relaxing yet close enough to Port Douglas that we could easily head into town for a meal, shopping, or excursions. Chris and his team were excellent communicators and responsive to any questions we had!

Our stay at Hibiscus 5 was fabulous. Everything was in easy walking distance- restaurants, beach, shops, and the wharf. The apartment was clean and well equipped. Loved the quality towels and linen! Nikki was easy to communicate with and was thoughtful enough to warn us about road closures due to the Cairns Ironman event. A convenient and comfortable place to stay in Port Douglas!

This is a fantastic apartment and very well-appointed - everything you could need is there. The beds are comfortable, with good linen. The bathrooms are good, with plenty of towels. The balcony is just great, with a view of tropical vegetation and palm trees. It is a very short walk to Four Mile Beach (near the swimming area), down a path beside the building. It is also easy walking distance to the centre of town where there are a lot of good restaurants, and to the marina. There’s also a supermarket nearby and a bottle shop across the road. Anna and Lee are very responsive and generous hosts.

We had a wonderful 6 nights enjoying a mother and teenage daughter get away. Beautifully appointed - had everything we needed. As an avid swimmer the pools were fabulous - each at least 75m wide and 25 m in width. No excuses not to swim daily. We made use of the scooters on site and also the shuttle bus service so even though we were a tad out of town we easily made it in on time to enjoy all of Port Douglas' amazing restaurants and the Marina. Kitchen facilities were great if you want to self cater, bedding and towels all clean, comfortable and stylish. Highly recommend - we will be back! Thank you Suzanne for a lovely stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Tranquil Tides. The apartment was clean, spacious, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything you could possibly need. We loved the lush outlook from the balcony to the garden and pool lagoon. The apartment is huge! The master suite is its own separate wing to the living area, perfect for travelling with kids or even two couples. We loved the private rooftop area with bbq and hot tub too. This was our first time travelling with a baby so we loved the inclusion of a travel cot, high chair and toys which made life easier. The communication from the hosts was great and instructions were super clear. The welcome booklet with attractions and nearby places to eat etc. was a nice touch as well. Overall, we really couldn’t fault this place and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Port Douglas. Thanks so much for a fantastic experience.

Me and my partner had a wonderful stay in Port Douglas, made better by the perfect accommodating nature of our host. Nadines place is tucked away on the corner of the main strip on the top floor to provide a beautiful view of the garden and sea. “Bella Vista” was the perfect choice to be right in the middle of all the goodness Port Douglas has to offer.

The apartment was perfect for our group of 5 (4 adults and 1 child). Plenty of space and the upstairs balcony was ideal for boat and sunset watching. Great location being walking distance to everything including the supermarket, restaurants, the mariner and to the beach. Amanda was an amazing host. Responsive, friendly and helpful when it came to our check-in. Highly recommend!

Had a most enjoyable stay at Tyla’s place. The location was perfect… close to the beach and great restaurants. The apartment was very comfortable and clean. Communication with Tyla was friendly and easy, we would definitely stay again.

The ground floor unit was very spacious. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfortable. Perfect location if you want to be walking distance to Trinity beach, a 5 minute drive to Smithfield and 20 minutes to Cairns.

Amazing stay in Palm Cove! The beach is right outside the font door. The kitchen is very well equipped. Complete with salt & pepper along with lots of utensils and containers. There are plenty of towels, tea towels etc. The toiletries provided were pretty nice too (Shampoo, conditioner, soap, body wash, body lotion and bath salts) There were enough blankets etc. The property is immaculately maintained, pool and outdoor areas are pristine Highly recommend to anyone One note though (re: the area) - do your shopping before you get to the suburb of Palm Cove. There are two very small & expensive supermarkets. Stop at Coles on the way over. We really enjoyed our stay, thanks again!

Kay was very helpful - she picked us up from the airport and took time to show us around the apartment. The apartment was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The location is excellent, handy for everything you need. There is a tour desk downstairs where you can book your activities. Overall, highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was in a great location and had easy access to the Main Street. The pool area was beautiful and it was a great temperature. One of the balconies had a nice view of the pool and each balcony had its own fan. The place was clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment but was a little smaller if wanting to cook for a larger family. It did have 2 hot plates and a small bench top oven which worked for us. David was very responsive to any questions and the staff at Mantra were also very helpful (even though we technically weren’t staying with them). It was nice to have adjoining apartments that could be kept separate if needed. The air conditioning and fans were great in keeping the place cool. Great owners. Very accommodating. The fridge was stocked with items such as milk and bread. A lovely place!

Beautiful apartment and surroundings. Within walking distance to restaurants and beach. Owners and admin were very responsive to questions. Beds were so comfortable and everything was very clean. Appreciated the extra towels. Internet was a bit hit and miss and no shampoo in the bathrooms (lots of conditioner though) which may have just been an oversight. We would definitely stay again. We had a wonderful family holiday at Dianne’s place. The apartment was perfect for our family with two young toddlers, beautiful setting, clean, comfortable and all the extras for kids, toys, pool toys and a great outdoor spa bath. We had a lot of fun at the resort beach pool and the location in Palm Cove is perfect, by the beach and restaurants. Would definitely recommend and would love to go back.
