Carla's little house was the perfect base to explore the area and surrounding villages and friends. It was such a beautiful quiet space close to town but outside just enough to enjoy the countryside and views. We had a very happy time here and the house had everything you could want or need for cooking and relaxing. Just perfect. Thank you for a wonderful stay. :)

The house is a delight. Spacious and full of charm and character. Had everything we needed as far as amenities. Plenty for cooking, playing games, a few interesting books as well. It’s a good location, too. Most everything was easily walkable, including the city’s cultural center, and the stadiums where they have basketball and futsal games (go Electrico!). We also visited a nearby winery and used Ponte de Sor as our launching point for daytrips to Tomar and Evora. I contacted Luis a couple of times during my stay and he responded quickly every time. He was 100% committed to ensuring I had a great visit. I would definitely stay here again. Luis was one of the best hosts I’ve worked with.

Lovely stay at Casa Serra São Mamede. The house is about a 10-15 min walk (depending on your walking pace) to the centre of the village. Casa Serra São Mamede was as described; spacious inside and outside, with the amenities required for a comfortable stay, with parking at the house (there's also parking spaces not far from the house as well). The location was great for embarking on the PR3 PTG Alegrete circular walking path (about 4 hour hike) as the starting point is close to the house. Where the house is located is peaceful with the sound of the nearby stream. Check-in was a breeze and Jéssica was very responsive and helpful. We was running late in terms of check out, and when we informed Jéssica, she kindly extended checkout time time at short notice; thank you! Would definitely recommend Casa Serra São Mamede!

Such a lovely property in a beautiful location. We had a warm welcome and were very appreciative of the food, milk and juice left for breakfast, including fresh bread left in the gate in the morning. The kitchen was very well stocked and had everything you would need. It was a shame the weather was cold and wet as it would have been lovely to sit outside., on the chairs and tables provided. The aircon helped warm the rooms, so we were very snug. Worth noting there’s only one two seater sofa and tables that accommodate 8 people, but extra folding chairs available. The location and quirkiness of the place made up for any small downsides. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Espaço agradável e bem cuidado, num sítio extremamente calmo e ótimo para relaxar. Casa muito bem equipada com todos os elementos necessários para uma boa estadia e bem montada para aguentar o calor que se senta no verão. Boa zona de piscina com muitas cadeiras, chapéus e sombra para aproveitar os dias de calor. Bem localizada, perto do Vimieiro e também a cerca de 20 minutos de Estremoz. O anfitrião - John - esteve sempre muito disponível para tudo o que foi pedido, muito atento, simpático e rápido a responder.

Excelente local para passar um fim de semana relaxado, sereno e confortável. A Herdade mantém os traços tradicionais de construção típica de palacete, mas oferece todo o conforto, nomeadamente nos quartos. As camas são grandes e muito confortáveis. Penso que beneficiámos de arrendar o espaço completo pelo que não nos sentíamos num quarto, mas sim em casa, no duplo sentido: com o espaço todo para nós e muito acolhedor. Nota para o exterior, muito espaçoso, a zona da piscina é bastante agradável e, a melhor parte de todas, é sem dúvida os animais que existem na quinta (presentes, mas sem incomodar). Há galinhas, cabras, gatos e cães. A Trufa (cadelinha ainda muito novinha) foi uma excelente anfitriã, sempre a querer brincar e a fazer companhia. Com certeza se voltarmos a esta zona será para a Herdade da Ordem!

Hemos pasado una estancia maravillosa con la familia. La casa dispone de amplias estancias para disfrutar con toda la familia. El entorno es maravilloso y tranquilo. J María nos trató muy amablemente cuando llegamos y también al despedirnos. Nos encantaron los perros de la familia especialmente la perrita pequeña que siempre quería estar con nosotros.🥰🥰

Our stay at this incredible house in Castelo de Vide was absolutely perfect! The house is spacious, charming, and filled with character and history, making it an ideal retreat for our entire family. We were all amazed by the stunning view over Castelo de Vide from the house – it truly took our breath away every morning. The large, beautiful kitchen was a standout feature for us. It is well-equipped and perfect for preparing family meals, with plenty of space for everyone to pitch in and cook together. The historic charm of the kitchen added a special touch to our experience. The bedrooms were comfortable and well-appointed. The living areas were cozy and welcoming, with enough room for everyone to relax and unwind. The pool was a highlight, with sun beds and umbrellas, and warm water at the end of the day, with the solar exposure. The host was incredibly hospitable and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed for a memorable stay. We highly recommend this wonderful home.

Ficámos encantados com este monte alentejano perto de Arraiolos! Éramos 13, dos cinco aos setenta anos, e todos nos sentimos em casa. O espaço é acolhedor, tranquilo e cheio daquele charme alentejano que nos é tão familiar, até porque temos raízes na região. Adorámos os detalhes da decoração, a loiça Bordalo Pinheiro foi um toque especial que nos conquistou! A única sugestão que temos para melhorar ainda mais a experiência seria a disponibilização de algumas bicicletas. Seria ótimo poder explorar os arredores de forma divertida e em contacto com a natureza. Muito obrigada por nos proporcionarem um fim de semana tão especial. Voltaremos com todo o gosto!

The house was very clean and had lots of space. Some of the beds were very firm so we did have to trade rooms with one of our kids for a softer mattress. Overall a great house with plenty to explore in the area. Went to the local cheese shop and got great sight seeing recommendations from the worker. The Marble Museum had cool sculptures and info about the local areas history in extracting marble. The pool is not heated and was a little chilly in late September, but the kids still had fun.

Francisco is a wonderful host, so very kind and generous. We arrived to a fridge full of food for breakfast everyday, a large bowl of fruit and we had delicious fresh bread delivered to the door every morning. Our small dog was more than welcome. Lots of outdoor space, great pool, barbecue and the stars at night are incredible which we admired from the hammocks. Thanks Francisco, we will be back. Ruben, Ryan, Roxie and Aileen

Great place to stay with family. Pool was lovely and facing the sunset. Close to amenities and main national road made travelling around the area very easy. Hosts were very nice and helpful when any issues arose.

We had a wonderful stay at Cantinho dos Rizos! It was the perfect spot for a family weekend—peaceful, cozy, and full of charm. There were plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained, and the space had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our time together. Highly recommend!

Vi havde et fantastisk ophold i Carinas hus. Det er et lille hyggeligt hus hvor man kan nyde vejret, omgivelserne og roen. Vi kan bestemt anbefale Carinas hus.

Very well located! The house has everything you need and it is very well Kept! It rained and was cold so we did not use the pool but it looked great! The property is beautiful and great walks and rocks ti climb! Majestic! We all loved it!
