We delighted in our stay at Marcelo's place. His and Donna's renovation of a medieval, in-town house is impeccable. A substantial degree of professional interior design is evident in the minimalism, yet all works flow historically. The lower-level spa and sauna are hedonistic yet blend beautifully with the rustic ambiance. The technology underlying the works is largely absent from view - yet functional. The first floor features a kitchen which will not disappoint an avid chef. The sitting area is minimalist but softened by clever, "soft" upholstery choices, cushions and comforting throws. Selective sculpture and objects d'art complete the picture. The surface treatment of walls is superb, as if revealing centuries of habitation in layers, each agreeing with one another in terms of tone and pallet. The rendering and paint work is first rate. For the aesthete and practical traveller alike, Marcelo's place offers a considered, curated view into the past embraced by the present.

What made the experience even more memorable was her recommendation to try her father’s amazing Roman cuisine, perfectly paired with local wines. It was an unforgettable meal and a true highlight of our trip. The farmhouse itself is beautifully located in the heart of Tuscany. It’s the perfect base for exploring nearby cities and the stunning countryside. Thanks to the central location, we were able to easily travel around and soak in all the beauty Tuscany has to offer. Posto incantevole. Consigliato per chi vuole staccare con la città e riposare la testa e le orecchie. Maison uccellina è un rifugio ideale per rilassarsi. La casa è deliziosa, pulita e funzionale. Lo spazio esterno e il barbecue invitano a stare fuori. Francesca, la proprietaria, è accogliente e disponibile, gentile e preparata nel consigliare cosa fare nei d'intorni. Da Maison Uccellina raggiungi facilmente Perugia...Città della Pieve...Castiglione del lago e tante altre località. Torneremo sicuramente a trovare Francesca e la sua bellissima casa! Claudia

Para valorar esta propiedad, hay que empezar por el ANFITRIÓN, un profesional en toda regla. Desde el minuto 0 de la reserva, hasta la salida; siempre atento, muy amable y muy profesional. Es un placer conocer gente seria y esto la da un valor a la aplicación. La beach house, es un paraíso en Italia. Fácil acceso, cuidado al detalle, paz, naturaleza, comodidad. Nuestro viaje era en familia con nuestros dos caniches y creo que fueron los que más disfrutaron de la propiedad, verlos correr y saltar por las zonas verdes de la propiedad y convivir con muchas aves, conejos no tiene precio. Nuestra hija disfrutó su estancia estudiando y con la paz y tranquilidad del lugar, no le costó nada concentrarse. Nosotros en cambio, hicimos turismo por la zona, todo muy cerca y bien comunicado por carretera. Es una propiedad muy cuidada, segura y sobretodo disfrutar de sus puesta de sol, sentado en una tumbona, disfrutando de un buen vino (de la zona) es una experiencia irrepetible. Gracias Maurizio.

Geweldige plek in het wilde Umbrië, zeer pittoresk én met een groot zwembad, tijdens ons verblijf bijna alle dagen alleen voor ons. Doordat de eigenaars ook zelf in het huisje op vakantie komen, was alles voorzien met de beste uitrusting. Zalig geslapen op een zeer goede matras, de vaatwasser is zo'n heerlijke luxe en geeft extra vakantietijd, en in de keuken vind je een heleboel kleine praktische extra's die je vaak in andere huizen mist. Door een handige lijst met goede restaurants in de buurt konden we na een late aankomst nog steeds probleemloos gaan eten, Céline reserveerde zelfs voor ons snel een tafel. Zeer goede communicatie met de host, nieuwe, extra zonnenzetels werden nog tijdens ons verblijf gebracht... We hadden meer dan we nodig hadden en komen graag terug!

We have stayed at a fair number of AirBnBs in some beautiful places. This was (by far) the best and most beautiful of them all. Our stay here was part of a four AirBnB trip (Rome, Amalfi, Tuscany, and Venice). This place is incredibly scenic, quiet, tranquil, and the unit itself has an old farmhouse/vineyard kind of vibe. But in spite of its age, it is well maintained and comfortable… supplying everything you need. After touring the area during the day, we (two couples) would come back in the late afternoon, and put together a charcuterie board and sit outside drinking wine, and playing cards until it was too dark to see the cards. The hosts (staff and owner) were so kind, friendly, and approachable. Simply put, this was THE BEST STAY EVER!
