Holiday rentals with a kayak in Presque Isle County

We had a great time. Very beautiful scenery on a peaceful lake. We enjoyed absolute relaxation and didn’t have much reason to leave.

Cozy cabin on the lake with all the niceties from home. Alyssa was a great host. She was responsive and gracious.

We spent three days at Robert’s Hammond Bay property. The walks along the sandy beach were just amazing. All photos fairly represent the property condition. Robert was always accessible and helpful answering questions. We enjoyed local attractions, i.e., hikes along the Ocqueoc River or a short ride to Mackinac. We had a wonderful outing.

First time in Michigan and we had a great experience at Debbie’s place. It was beautiful and it was perfect for our large group! We had a great time and Debbie was a very friendly and helpful host. I would one hundred percent recommend her place, and will definitely be going back as soon as I can 😊

Beyond our expectations, so much space inside and out. Loaded with kid and family activities. Didn’t want to leave….. a little heaven on earth, truly a beautiful and peaceful setting with lots to do in the surrounding area. Plan to book here again. Thanks Kevin, no wonder you a super host.

The main attraction of this house is the location right on Grand Lake -- a super peaceful and quiet lake that is not developed on the side that faces the house, so you can almost imagine you're back in time by several decades. The host provides a canoe and a couple of kayaks which is fantastic for exploring the lake. The house itself is really nice too; we didn't spend much time in it but the lounging area is really comfortable and the kitchen is fully equipped. Only thing I would caution people is to be prepared to sleep tight with your significant other as the beds are doubles, which maybe a lot of people aren't used to anymore. But very comfortable & cozy!

The place was incredible. Access to beach front was amazing with a cool set-up on the bluffs. Ashel was a fantastic host. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Lorraine was a great host, very helpful and responsive and even helped us to see the northern lights which was such a unique experience. The place was super clean and felt private with our own beach and dock for the boat. Plenty of space in the cabins and in the big yard. We can’t wait to come back again.

We truly loved our stay. This place has the most stunning views. The house is very clean and well kept. The surrounding neighbors were very friendly and it has an overall peaceful atmosphere. We ended up forgetting a few items after our stay and the host was amazing enough to drive out of her way to get them back to us. Great place & great host!

This place is larger than the pictures portray. 2 families and grandma = 9 people and we never felt cramped at all. The 2 bedrooms with Queen + Bunkbeds were perfect for a a family of 4 in each. The master bedroom is huge. The cupboard space in the kitchen is impeccable. Plenty of games, a quick 2-3 minute walk down the lane to a beautiful Lake Huron beach, kayaks, a canoe and a foosball table that entertained everyone during our stay are just a few “pro list” items. Oh and let’s not forget the double washer/dryer laundry area that would make any mom jealous! We never watched the TV during our stay. There was too much other stuff to do. The only thing not provided was beach towels so make sure you bring your own. Our family owns smaller cottages in the area but we wanted a place to accommodate all of us together. Shannon’s place checked all the boxes. We would certainly consider renting again for a large family trip.

We found this gem last minute. Our visit was for a funeral. Lori let me know we could check in early if need be and also gave us a late check out without question. The grounds are gorgeous and well kept. You are right on Grand lake with a nice beach and picnic area. There is a place for a bonfire. The cabin is very clean. The sheets were fresh and smelled wonderful. The back is all windows to look out at the lake. There is a nice deck out of the sliding glass doors. Just a few miles away from good food on the lake and Presque Isle light house, sink holes, Rockport state park and dark sky observatory and about a 30 minute drive to Ocqueoc Falls. We actually saw the Northern lights from the deck off of the cabin. The pups had a great time too. Lori is a fabulous host and went out of her way to make a hard time easier.

Lovely stay on Grand Lake. House was clean, comfortable, and well- stocked. Lake access is sandy and shallow for a long way out, perfect for kids. Nice fire pit and lots of yard and water toys accessible.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Michael’s cabin on the shore of Lake Huron! It was just what we were looking for - somewhere off the beaten path that felt like a remote getaway. The home is very family friendly with games, books and activities for our kids and the very cool sauna for adults! We enjoyed the kayaks and walking the beach. The house was very clean and comfortable - we found the waffle maker useful too! Thanks for a great stay!

Beautiful cabin in the woods. Brandie was amazing and very kind answering any and all questions that came up before and after we arrived. House was beautiful and so much to do in the surrounding areas. Lake was beautiful and crystal clear. Can’t wait to come back up next summer!

The cabin was amazing! Beyond on our expectations! Large and anything we could possibly need right on site. The family had a blast.

This place was such an awesome find! Easy to find, beautiful location and a great place to gather. The house has enough space for everyone to stretch out, my son LOVED the VHS player and movies! We ate our meals out in the screened area and walked the beach multiple times. The only thing that I would’ve changed(if I could ) was the weather!😊 I love the special touches like the s’more bar, the magazines and beach themed decor. The kitchen was fully stocked and everything was nice and clean. Well done!! We’d stay here again!

We had a great time at Loraine's place. The cabins were just as described and Loraine was an excellent host. She was very friendly and provided information about the cabins, the lake, and the local and surrounding areas. We would definitely stay there again.

Felt right at home at the Embers Cabin - easy to get to, clear & friendly communication & beautiful setting. Close to many nature areas in an hour's radius, about equal distance to Alpena & Roger's City. Quiet & peaceful, heard the loons in the morning & evening a few days, so nice! Great place to re-charge & have as home base for the day's sight seeing & adventures. Hope to return in the future!

Connie and her family were extremely welcoming and helpful. Although the house shares a property with the owner, they gave us plenty of privacy and were very friendly. My husband even locked us out of the house and thank goodness they were close by to help! Would recommend to friends and family and hope we are able to stay again.

The house would be great for a family. The lake was beautiful with limited development and boats to take advantage. What stood out was the hospitality and engagement of the host. He went out of his way to accommodate our needs. Highly recommended!
