House holiday rentals in Prince Alfred Hamlet

This place is incredible, and we felt privileged to stay there. It was immaculately clean and beautifully furnished. It was a pleasure to use the furniture/ look at the art work. Also the beds and bedding were very very comfortable and it was a treat to use the bathrooms. We ate home cooked food by candlelight in the magnificent dining room (table was set and dressed by Noel). It was Noel, who greeted us, helped with our luggage and looked after the place that made the visit truly memorable- along with his little Corgi Maxine who made us feel right at home.

This is already our fourth time staying in Rigby's beautiful house. It is wonderfully located on the golf course, offering a peaceful atmosphere. It's a great starting point for many activities. Rigby and Jean-André are always easily reachable. We are looking forward to our next visit!

Stunning house and gardens - we felt extremely lucky to have found the house. You can stroll right into town or to La Cotte for a perfect breakfast. We were initially worried about security but the alarms have a 24hr armed response team which made us feel at ease. If you have found this place on Airbnb - book it, it is paradise.

We had an amazing stay. The house is beautiful with spectacular views of the mountains and vineyard. Owen the manager was extremely helpful and quick to respond whenever we needed anything. We will definitely be back!

Hands down the best experience I’ve ever had staying at a property. From Maryna the host who was an absolute pleasure to deal with, down to the breathtaking property. Nothing was ever too much trouble and we were really sad to leave when our trip ended. Would definitely look to stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay. The house is beautiful, well equipped and tastefully decorated. High quality and well appointed kitchen. Gorgeous outside area for dining, and a little plunge pool for hot days. The town is walkable and full of great restaurants and shops. Highly recommend this house for a wonderful Franshhoek holiday.

Mieke’s cottage truly is a home from home. The home has all amenities, modern and very comfortable. From the moment we arrived we felt so welcome. There was a lovely welcome selection of drinks in the fridge, and a lovely bottle of wine. Lozanne is a wonderful host - she is attentive and kind. The children (and the adults) absolutely loved the animals. The splash pool was a lovely treat. We stayed for just over two weeks, and we were so sad to leave. We felt safe and secure at all times. When needed, Lozanne and her husband were on hand when we had a question. We hope to return to stay at the cottage when we visit in 2026. 5 stars in my opinion. Thank you for making our visit to South Africa such a special one.

We had a wonderful stay at 60 Burg str. The home has exceptional character in a wonderful town with lots to do in the countryside. We will definitely want to visit this home again in the near future.

Stunning location. Views to die for. Super well-equipped kitchen, everything and more. Comfortable and warm beds. Cozy fireplace and lovely outside sitting area. Showers are great, and it also has baths with views. We didn't try the hot tub, but it looks like a treat for colder weather. We will be back.

We loved our stay at Bianca’s wonderful home. The outlook onto the lake was serene, the house had everything we needed and the beds were comfy with great linen. Bianca is a fantastic host who provides thorough information and is immediately contactable and super friendly. The estate offers endless activities so it’s impossible to get bored. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Lavender Lane. We felt completely spoilt staying in such a beautiful home. All bedrooms are en suite and extremely comfortable. Loved being on the golf course where we could walk around freely. The pictures don't do the house justice!

We had a great stay at The Nook! Great location close to the wineries, airport and Cape Town. It was cozy and beautifully curated. Perfect for late night conversations, morning workouts and the occasional dip in the pool. Astrid was a lovely host. She was helpful and responsive. I highly recommend.

Lovely space after a day spent in the mountains! Two fires to enjoy, and the most comfortable bed and linen! enjoyed our time and would stay again. Walked around the land a bit, picked a couple of lemons off the bountiful trees, and enjoyed a movie by the fire with dinner made on the outdoor braai/bbq. Vicki was very responsive and the property felt very private and well kitted out.

We had a lovely weekend in Mcgregor what a beautiful house it had everything we needed and it was spacious, the pool was great to have to beat the summer heat. The kitchen has everything you need for a braai and plenty of seating areas to sit back and relax both inside and out. Would highly recommend.

We had the BEST weekend at Tess and Nikulas farm style home! Each couple had a stunning room, all own bathrooms and even hot water bottles for each person. Praise helped us so much with cleaning the home in the mornings, and she was great with the babies too. The house is perfectly equipped for a hot summers day, but also when the temperature drops at night there are amazing fireplaces that keep you warm! We had a weekend we will not forget with our closest friends and will be coming back many times to this home! Easy to live in and just gorgeous, we had long lazy lunches around the patio table and laughed SO much! We spent evenings around the bonfire playing games and having wine and it was just absolutely so fun yet restful as a weekend all round! Our friends could run and walk the town as they pleased. And the dogs has a blast too. Could not recommend this spot more! Thank you Tessa and Nikula for looking after us!

We had a wonderful stay at De Vrede - as a plantswoman myself, the garden must've been my favourite part of the whole property. Expansive, wild and prescribed a slower temporal pace I found incredibly fruitful. The cottage itself was delightful too, where we spent most of the chilly evenings by the fireplace. Highly recommend and would most definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful weekend at Orchard Cottage. The outside stoop and pool area is really lovely and peaceful. Being able to walk to the shops and restaurants was also great, perfect location and we hope to come back when the weathers warmer!

A lovely home with everything you need for a family holiday. The hosts are very accommodating and responsive, lovely space in Stellenbosch!

Wonderful place, we wish we’d stay longer! Ideal for 3 couples. You get everything you can imagine for a perfect stay. But extra - very nice pool, we used even though it was a bit chilly. There are also few hot jacuzzi’s, but we did not find time for them. Beautiful gardens with local fauna. Unbelievable view on vineyards, we enjoyed both during sunset and sunrise. Host provides everything needed for grilling. Lots of recommendations from host on places to visit. Definitely recommend staying here!
