It is a perfect base camp for hikers 12 miles south of Franconia notch trail heads and Appalachian Trail crossing. The cabin is most often used by hikers who want a base camp near many of the most popular hiking trails near Franconia Notch. It is a peaceful and quiet place.

The Inn is lovely! I highly recommend staying here. The rooms and bathrooms are large, sunny, and beautifully done. The beds are very comfortable. It is located on a quiet street with views of the mountains. Right up the street is a roaring brook. A general store is right next door and has coffee and breakfast sandwiches, drink, milk, and the like. Staying here was a treat! We will be back!

Bob was a great host- he sent detailed instructions on where to park, getting in, how to find our room, the bathroom, and where the linnens were. The bathroom had an amazing shower which felt great after a very long drive. He was flexible on our check in time, allowing us to check in later in the evening making the drive up much less stressful. The room was spacious and comfortable. I really appreciate Bob hosting us on our journey north!

The Nest was just as described and was perfect for our needs. It was very clean and welcoming. To top off the great space, there was a record player and several records that was a lot of fun to use. The driveway was a little tricky to find with the small numbers by the road, but was easy to turn around nearby and back track. One thing to note is that the one bathroom for the rental is located within the master bedroom. We also caught Doug on our way out, very polite and friendly host. We will stay at the Nest again!

Joe and Sandra were excellent, very responsive hosts. More responsive (and considerate) than just about any host I've come across on AirBnB. The house felt very secluded, even with being fairly close to a road. Nighttime was full of the sounds of the stream, crickets, and sometimes owls! The house was adequately furnished with the basics and met our needs for a short stay, maybe a little challenging for long stays. Beds were very comfy, fast WiFi, and forced air heat if you need it. *Also* HUGE plus to have basically new washer and dryer if you need it. Not something common! Would definitely stay here again if we revisit the area.

Cool, comfortable room. Loved the funky decor and the chalk table for notes. I indulged in the outdoor shower which has a curtain (I could not tell from the photo and wondered). The shower was warm, relaxing and private, however a little tight for space. The bed was super comfortable with great linens. The pictures of the space are accurate and also depict the nice vibe it has. It was super clean, has a very comfortable couch for relaxing and a beautiful backyard for morning coffee. This is a basement mini apartment which has stairs leading to a door to the main house, however it felt safe and private. I met Kari and she is super friendly!
