“Jenny and Hamish’s place was one of our favorite Airbnb stays. It’s close to the shops and restaurants in Nelson, Richmond, and Mapua, yet wonderfully serene with a lovely view from the backyard just like the pictures. The bed was comfortable, bathroom large with a spacious shower (and great water pressure!), laundry facilities provided, and a wonderful patio and pool to enjoy. Jenny was out of town, but Hamish was a wonderful host, along with the sweet dogs, with several good recommendations in the area. We hope to be back someday!”
This tiny room is suitable for single person who is backpacking and does not want to stay in a hostel dorm. It is a warm, sunny room with garden view. It has only a bed, desk and chair. Storage is under bed.
“Ola and Jeremy were very kind as to let me extend my stay by an extra week as I couldn't find any other affordable place in Nelson over the first 2 weeks of the new year. When I arrived Jeremy came out to help me with my luggage. I loved their modern kitchen and was allowed to use it as and when I needed to cook. You can be sure the place is kept clean - the kitchen is wiped down almost daily and bathroom is cleaned every few days. Guests may also do laundry here with the hosts' washing and clothes are line-dried out back. The balcony lets you have alfresco dining and also sun your shoes if you need. They were generous with their tips on what to do and where to find work in the area. Be sure to follow the instructions for using the kitchen and bathroom. Bracken and Clover (the dogs) were very friendly and lovely to have around!”
A 'Bush Garden' studio right in the heart of Mapua Village! Awesomely located, peaceful and private.
“What a great place to stay! They’re an incredibly nice, well-traveled couple who are incredibly knowledgeable about New Zealand and the region. The town is small and a perfect place for a quaint overnight, or it could be used as a good base to explore the region in depth. As a solo traveler you couldn’t ask for a better situation, I’d highly recommend it!”
