Get your first 5-star review
Ratings and reviews help guests decide if your experience is right for them. Positive reviews can lead to more bookings and higher earnings.
Getting your first bookings
Use the pricing tools in your Listings tab and the availability settings in your calendar to get started.
- Add discounts. Offering limited-time, early-bird and large-group discounts can help you jump-start bookings and keep your prices competitive.
- Open your availability. Select how far ahead guests can book your experience. Your calendar is set to unavailable by default.
- Reduce cut-off times. Allowing guests to book closer to the start of your experience can help attract more bookings.
- Prioritise busy times. Research popular days and times for experiences in your area, like weekends or holidays. You can schedule instances to occur once, daily or weekly.
Understanding how reviews work
Guest feedback helps you deliver the highest quality experience and build your reputation as a host. Guests are asked to provide:
- An overall rating. Guests rate each experience on a scale of 1 to 5 stars. Your average overall rating appears on your listing, in search results and on your profile.
- Detailed ratings. Guests provide more specific feedback by rating uniqueness, expertise, connection, location, reliability and value.
- A public review. This appears on your profile and in the reviews section of your listing. If you reply to a public review, your response will appear below it.
- A private note. This feedback doesn’t appear on your listing—it’s just for you.
Once you’ve gotten your first 3 reviews, you’ll unlock insights on guest feedback. Use the menu to access the insights section of the Airbnb app.
