Create a compelling co-host profile
Your co-host profile is an opportunity to market yourself. Co-Host Network uses a personalised algorithm to show the profiles of relevant local co-hosts to anyone looking for help.
Filling out your co-host profile
Complete your co-host profile to appear in search results. The information in your profile is publicly available.
- Name: Your co-host profile automatically uses your first and last name from your Airbnb account, unless you choose to show only your first name in your co-host profile settings. To appear on the Co-Host Network, your display name—whether legal or preferred—must be your individual name, not a business name.*
- Profile intro: Write a short description of your hosting experience that explains what makes you special. For example, ‘I started out hosting a spare room. Now, I help other hosts get glowing reviews and meet their earning potential’. Your intro will appear in search results and at the top of your profile.
- Services: Choose among 10 categories, such as listing set-up and guest messaging, and briefly describe how your approach stands out. For example, ‘I’ve worked with my cleaners for over five years, and we do a routine quality check before and after the first guest stay’.
- Pricing: Let hosts know what you charge per booking for ongoing support (required) and per listing for set-up (optional).
- Local service area: Add the location where you can provide hosting services in person within about 100 kilometres.
- More about you: You can share details about your hosting journey, like what got you into hospitality and your proudest moment.
Your co-host profile also includes this information.
- Key stats: Hosts see how many listings you host or co-host, how many years you’ve been hosting and the overall guest rating on all listings you’ve hosted or co-hosted.
- Highlights: Hosts see recognition that you, or listings you host or co-host, have received on Airbnb, like ‘Superhost for 8 years’ or ‘Perfect ratings from recent guests’.
- Guest reviews: Hosts see the reviews for listings you host or co-host, starting with the most recent. They can also filter by highest rated or lowest rated, and search by keywords.
- Your listings: Hosts see all the listings you support and how long you’ve hosted or co-hosted each one.
Taking a great profile photo
Your co-host profile automatically pulls in the profile photo from your Airbnb account. The photo must be high resolution, with a file size up to 100 MB and it can’t be blurry. The photo must clearly show your face.*
Follow these guidelines:
- Use a simple background and natural light.
- Take a vertical photo and leave room to crop.
- Avoid selfies, flash, backlighting, logos and illustrations.
- Exclude pets and other people.
*If you host as a business in Australia, the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, this requirement does not apply.
