Airbnb has more than 7 million homes all over the world. Each home is one-of-a-kind, and this uniqueness is what sets Airbnb apart. But guests have told us that with so much variety, it can be hard to know what they’re going to get. This is why many people prefer hotels, and it’s the #1 obstacle preventing them from booking on Airbnb.

One of the best ways to find a great place to stay is by knowing which homes guests love the most. That’s why we created Guest favourites.

What are Guest favourites?

Guest favourites are 2 million of the most-loved homes on Airbnb, according to guests.

Guest favourites are based on ratings, reviews and reliability data from over half a billion trips. Guest favourites are updated every day, so if your listing isn’t included now, it could be soon.

A variety of factors help identify Guest favourites, including:

  • At least five reviews from guests
  • Excellent reviews and ratings above 4.9 stars on average
  • High marks from guest reviews for check-in, cleanliness, accuracy, Host communication, location and value
  • Superb record of reliability, with Host cancellations and quality-related customer service issues of 1% on average

How to find Guest favourites

Guest favourites are available around the world, and they’re simple to find on Airbnb.

Listings that are Guest favourites feature a badge in search results and on the listing page. There’s also a new filter that allows travellers to specifically search for Guest favourites. A Host will find the Guest favourites badge on their listing if it qualifies.

Guest Favorites and Superhosts

Nearly two-thirds of Guest favourites are hosted by Superhosts, who’ve been recognised for their track record of outstanding hospitality.

Airbnb’s Superhost programme is not changing. Superhost criteria remain the same, and we’ll continue to check Superhost performance quarterly.

If you’re a Superhost who has a listing included in Guest favourites, both will be highlighted on your listing page and your listing will have a Guest favourite badge in search results. If you’re a Superhost with a listing that doesn’t qualify for Guest favourites yet, you’ll still be recognised with a Superhost badge both on your listing page and in search results.

Each of your listings will be treated individually when determining eligibility for the Guest favourite badge.

Guest favourites, the new Listings tab and even more upgrades for Hosts are part of the Airbnb 2023 November Release. Start using new features today when you opt in to Early Access.
