Big Bear’s Den - On Lake Alexander

This spacious home is located on beautiful Lake Alexander just west of Merrill, Wisconsin. Enjoy the tranquil view year-round as you plan the many activities that this location offers. You bring the boat, and we'll supply the dock. Throw in your ski's or wakeboard, and don't forget your fishing poles! Three pound small mouth bass are not uncommon and the monster's of fresh water fish, the musky, are plentiful. Add in walleyes, crappies, northern pike and this location is a fisherman's dream!

The Heart of Vilas County Bike Trails and numerous Hiking trails are just minutes away. The #5 Snowmobile/ATV trail runs across the front of the property along Hwy 51 and we are surrounded by many area lakes and the Northern Highland State Forest.

The croquet cabin your year round romantic escape

FYI our cozy cabin is perfect for snowmobiling. The floors are heated in the main part and the shower has an on-demand heater, so the hot water never runs out trail 51 is less than a mile down the road from the driveway along with the number one snowmobile stop! There’s room for your trailer and gear so hopefully we’ll see you out here this season. This cozy cabin is a perfect choice for a couple’s romantic getaway! Boat slip, fire pit, large recreation area for games, picnic table, grill, and more. Cabin comes with 2 kayaks that you can use to explore the 5 lake Moen Chain.

Wintergreen on Boom Lake

Enjoy our small ranch house with a walk out basement to bring you to the shoreline of Boom Lake, the heart of the Rhinelander Chain of Lakes (Boom, Bass, Thunder, Lake Creek, and Wisconsin River Flowage). It is considered one of the best fishing destinations in Northern Wisconsin. The surface water area is over 1700 acres with 35 miles of shoreline for boating, skiing, swimming, jet skiing, and fishing!
