One hour from the coast and beaches and two from Oviedo. There are a variety of hiking and cycling trails in the surrounding area. This area has a special microclimate. It is located in a mountainous area but only 200 meters above sea level, well protected from the north and with good exposure to the south.

It borders the City of Burela where the Public Hospital of Mariña is located 5 km away and 8 km from downtown Foz.
