It takes 13 minutes to JR Kyoto Station, which is 3 stops away, and 50 minutes to Osaka Station❗ Located on the southernmost side of Lake Biwa, it is a lovely town with a river and rich nature😊 ️ The area around Ishiyama Station is blessed with nature, and there are also historical buildings such as Ishiyama Temple, and many Japanese tourists visit.Cycling along the shore of Lake Biwa with a rental bike at the station is highly recommended☺️ There are also plenty of restaurants, so if you have trouble finding a place to eat during your stay, please consult me❗️ I am a fan of Omi beef, which is one of the three major Japanese beef brands.😋 The Setagawa River, which flows along Lake Biwa, the largest lake in Japan, is lush and green, and the flow is gentle. A leisurely walk along the river and the shores of Lake Biwa will soothe your soul.😊 It is also very high access to Miho Museum, a popular tourist destination, by bus from Ishiyama Station. You can also take a train from Ishiyama Station to Hikone Castle🏯 The room provides a comfortable atmosphere with a lot of lighting, and a large 240cm wide bed can help you unwind from your travels.

Simple lodging (hotel business licensed) Sugier (SUGIE) is a spacious ancient house that is 30 minutes to Kyoto station and 35 minutes to Keihan Sanjo, surrounded by Meiji's heritage Lake Biwa hydrophobic environment.My grandparents were a luxury merchant who used the hydrophobic (incline) mentioned above to carry white sand, gravel, and granite used for gate pillars to the Buddhist shrine in Kyoto on a wooden ship from the early Showa period. In order to thrive in business, I built a torii and a company in the garden of my house and festivaled Inari-san.There are lots of old and unusual items decorated, such as large water houses (dishware containers), long fire pots with pots, and lanterns with family crests.

Nishimura-Tei Hanare ― 100-year-old traditional house with kitchen & dining

Nishimura Residence is an old-fashioned Nara-machiya that has been standing on a piece of Nara-machi for more than 100 years. I was a “grandmother” for a long time when I was a child. In Nara Town, there is a pleasant despicable feeling that never changes. "I want to be filled with this pleasant contempt even for future generations." With that in mind, I took care of the empty Nishimura Residence. - Nishimura-Tei is originally a traditional Japanese house which has been here in Nara-machi town over 100 years, where my grandmother used to live in. My mother and I decided to renovate this house to preserve and pass down the virtue of good old days in Japan to the next generation as well as to show it to you.

Haruya Guesthouse

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

You can also use wifi. The bath is about the size of two adults and uses Japanese cypress. It will be a very beautiful room just opened in January. Please try and stay at once. The location of the hotel is in a place where you can walk to downtown area of Kyoto and famous temples. It is a very convenient place.

"Kyoto's Oyasuji" is a private townhouse 5 minutes on foot from Keihan Shimizu Gojo Station.

Our inn was apparently built in the early Showa period. We have renovated the bathroom and kitchen areas to make your stay more comfortable while still retaining the charm of the townhouse, such as the low ceilings and narrow, steep stairs. Why not try experiencing a bit of Kyoto life? Please note that we will charge a local accommodation tax (200 yen per person per night) in addition to the accommodation fee. The price is scheduled to increase from March 2026.
