Holiday rentals with breakfast in Roanoke County

The house is very nice - spacious & well appointed. It easily accommodated our large family. It’s located on a quiet cove. The boat dock is well furnished, absolutely amazing & where we ended up spending most of our time. However, it is not easily accessible. It’s a long & steep walk/drive. Fortunately, we had 4 wheel drive trucks that we used to transport people and coolers up & down. A very kind neighbor allowed us to use his boat dock so we could get my elderly mother in law to and from the dock. Aside from it being a little difficult for some to access, it’s a wonderful place. The boat dock & location back in a quiet cove is hard to beat. We also enjoyed boating over to Magnum’s Marina which is right down the cove.

I had a one night stay here to rest from a few long days of class and then 9hr drive home. I stayed here to cut the drive time. I liked that they had outside areas to hang out, especially to enjoy the beautiful view out back. Private area for myself and very clean comfortable bathroom to myself as well. Simple breakfast in the morning was perfect! Had my coffee outside with some banana bread. Jennifer chatted with me, let me know where stuff was and let me do my own thing. When I was leaving Park chatted with me a bit and said goodbye. Very kind, comfortable place to stay. Would stay again for sure.

This is a Beautiful and comfortable home in a lovely private setting in Floyd, VA. It was clean, well kept, a very convenient location, and well stocked. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with our service dog and will look forward to staying here again. Thank you!

Above and beyond expectations. I have stayed in many rentals in the past and this place is by far one of the cleanest I have been in. The bed linens were high quality with comfortable mattresses, the bathrooms and kitchen were very clean and well stocked. You could not beat having the lake right there and the powered covered boat slip was perfect. We will definitely stay here again.

Elmwood is a place where the past and the present meet in simple harmony and flows with gentle ease like the breeze through the hayfields outside the windows. With modern convenience and amenities flawlessly added to complement preserved history, Elmwood is practically perfect in every way! A stay here will refresh and restore mind body and soul. Christ and Anita are exemplary hosts their desire for you to feel at home at their home is the welcome everyone hopes for.

The place was beautiful, well maintained and had everything we needed as guests that could have forgotten during our packing. Amazing location for a weekend in nature! I do not generally leave reviews but the service and communication for this location was beyond outstanding. I had a tough arrival, many things had happened during my travel day that already had me off edge. When I Arrived at "the location",I was so overwhelmed I overlooked the signs and my frustration did not allow me to take the time to look and find the house. However, I called the phone number provided and despite my not so friendly approach at the moment, the host on the other end of the phone kept calm and guided me all the way till I got through the door. The host then took the time to call again a few hours later to ensure everything was ok and that I was feeling better. They went the extra mile to ensure our safety and to effectively and promptly communicate and thats more than expected.

These 1 bedroom apartments are fabulous! Quiet - clean - comfortable beds - nice kitchen! Everything you need! Plus - to walk to the brewery and sit outside and enjoy a beer! Cute little town! We loved our stay!!

This is a wonderful place to stay! The apartment was exactly as described and the neighborhood was peaceful and gorgeous. Stephen is a super friendly and quick communicator and his check in/out instructions were simple and helpful. I will definitely be trying to return whenever I can!

Beth & Stephen were both super fast at responding when I needed them. They are very friendly/ kind. The unit is sooo beautiful, very spacious pictures do no justice. I’ll certainly be returning.

The place was very clean and lots of extra amenities in case you forget something at home. Stephen was very easy to work with.

Stephen's apartment/loft was a nice, central spot in downtown Roanoke-perfect location for our long-weekend visit. Took grandson to Mill Mountain Zoo, Virginia Transportation Museum, and down to the Historic Market (disappointed in the Market as it is now compared to what it was years back tho). Lots of downtown restaurant options and Blue Ridge Parkway access is not far (via Mill Mountain). Campbell Avenue location was central to where I traveled to visit ancestral homes - easy navigation to/from as it's close to 581. While various business venues observed the nightly noise curfew, most vehicular traffic did not (during the weekend) so future guests might want to be prepared for extra external night noise. The loft/apartment was comfortable and clean, and Stephen's house rules/directions, etc. were clear and easy to follow - he was very responsive to any/all questions/inquiries and we would definitely consider enjoying this location on a future trip to Roanoke.

We enjoyed staying here. The interior of the loft apartment was clean, well decorated, stocked with whatever you’ll need, and the included laundry room was a major plus. The location is in close proximity to a major grocery store, and downtown Floyd is walkable where there’s a lot of fun things to do and see. We ran into a few small issues while staying, and the owner was quick to communicate and resolve them. Would definitely stay here again!

Thank you Philip and Katie for a wonderful stay. The apartment was very clean, clear instructions and thoughtful additional touches- my daughter and I enjoyed a game of scrabble. Thank you for the water bottles as well- they came in handy. The neighborhood is walkable with tons of restaurants and easy to get to Vtech. Highly recommended.

We loved our stay at Graham Ordinary! John and Kathy were so knowledgeable and gave such great recommendations of what to do and see during our stay. The mead tasting was very fun and informative! Highly recommend!

It's a beautiful home in a beautiful setting. We were very comfortable there! I wish I had time to use the pool, it looks amazing :)

My wife and I stayed at this beautiful home in Buchanan for two nights during our road trip across Virginia. Donald and his wife are amazing hosts and just awesome people to be around. They made us feel right at home when we arrived, gave us a tour of their beautiful property, showed us all the areas in the house we could hand out at and shared local recommendations around the area. The room we stayed at was clean, spacious and comfortable. It had a beautiful view of the front porch and a big garden area. We were invited to join for breakfast both mornings where we were spoilt with delicious French toasts, eggs, sausages, pancakes, and coffee. Donald and his wife are great people and we had very engaging and interesting conversations together. Their place is beautiful and there is plenty to do around the area if you are visiting the Roanoke region. We would certainly be returning to their place in the near future.

From the moment we entered the home, we felt welcomed and honored. Their historical home had the charm of older homes but with modern conveniences. Artwork and family heirlooms truly made being guests in their an experience versus just a place to sleep. And, to top it off, the home made breakfast was amazing!

There are few words in the English language that can describe how wonderful of experience me and my partner had at this Bed and Breakfast. We were immediately greeted with all smiles and welcomes from Bobbie. Upon arrival she showed us the house and our room which is a beautiful, Antebellum style home with much of the original architecture and interior. The room was a sizable space with gorgeous antique furniture, a large California king sized bed, and an amazing bathroom with a large walk in shower with multiple rainfall style shower heads. The breakfast menu that Bobbie and Mitch offer and prepare is Southern style and DELICIOUS. Joining them and the other wonderful guests for breakfast offered a style of hosting that is all too rare. Bobbie and Mitch were incredible hosts. They offered excellent services, a clean and wonderful room, great recommendations for the town, excellent food, and a memory me and my fiancee will never forget. I highly recommend this gem in historical VA.

Gini was so welcoming and her home was just what we were looking for. A beautiful quiet place nestled in the mountains with stunning views. We enjoyed a fire outside in the evening and her dinner recommendation was excellent.

The Apple Ridge caboose experience is perfect for anyone who loves the outdoors, peace, and animal sightings! We saw deer, turkeys, 3 huge Pileated Woodpeckers, and other birds. Grounds are beautiful and the staff was friendly! We’ll be back yearly.
