Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Robertson

We had a lovely weekend in Mcgregor what a beautiful house it had everything we needed and it was spacious, the pool was great to have to beat the summer heat. The kitchen has everything you need for a braai and plenty of seating areas to sit back and relax both inside and out. Would highly recommend.

Great place to unwind. Comfortable living area for socializing. Nice hiking in the area. Wonderful sunsets in the valley. Pool is a bit small and doors are not well secured for windy days.

We had a wonderful stay at De Vrede - as a plantswoman myself, the garden must've been my favourite part of the whole property. Expansive, wild and prescribed a slower temporal pace I found incredibly fruitful. The cottage itself was delightful too, where we spent most of the chilly evenings by the fireplace. Highly recommend and would most definitely stay here again!

The gorgeous Buchu Box is an absolutely gorgeous hidden gem! Stunning views, great amenities and fabulous views of the valley at sunset! Highly recommend !

This place is made to calm down and relax. It‘s far out the city and around 1km from the host‘s farm. There is no electricity in the house but candles and lamps… and a very nice hot tube. Heleen, our super friendly host, prepared hot water when we arrived, gave us a lot of useful recommendations around this place and was helpful for everything we needed. There‘s almost no light pollution allowing a nice and clear sky full of stars! We would highly recommend this place and definitely come again! Thanks a lot!

Lovely place in the mountains. Great to spot animals on drives and walks you can do by your own. Nice playground at the office. Thanks for welcoming and hosting us.

Wonderful soul-renewal stay. Well designed home with perfect views from every angle. We enjoyed morning sunrise from the stoep and loved watching the surroundings evolve as the sun moves… most amazing colours. Switch off the lights and enjoy the stars from the hot-tub. Well equipped home and many extra surprises (thank you for the welcoming gift). Thank you Willem for the efficient and friendly communication. We’d love to be back!

We had a fantastic experience at Patmos Stay and highly recommend their short-term rental. The cozy and charming setup is perfect for both winter and summer. Special touches in the suite made our stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely return to Robertson and stay at Patmos for a longer period next time!

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful cottage! We visited with friends, and the setup was perfect—two bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, made everything so easy and comfortable. What truly stood out were the thoughtful touches: a little olive branch with chocolate on the bedside table and fresh, beautiful flowers in the bathroom—those small details made us feel really special. The combustion stove was a highlight too, keeping us cozy on the chilly evenings, and the kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing weekend getaway. Overall, it was an amazing experience. We truly appreciated the care and attention put into making the place feel welcoming and memorable. Highly recommend!

I would highly recommend for any single person or couple visiting Swellendam. Even though you are in town you look out across the river and big trees which creates the sense of being on a farm. Bed was very comfortable and flexible check-in.

We had a really great stay, it is a beautiful location with easy access to Montague and Barrydale. Danielle gave us some really great suggestions for things to do in the area. The farm has some nice walks, and the roads are well kept, very accessible for cars, no 4x4 needed. The farm has some very friendly dogs as well. They were kind enough to provide us with wood and a well equipped kitchenette. I highly recommend it.

We had a great stay in Ceres at Ezanne's place. It is well worth the money. Very clean, spacious, and comfortable! We did a couple of great hikes in the area and went cherry picking at Klondyke. Ezanne's was located close to both activities.

Absolutely positively loved this slice of heaven. Orange groove went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and accommodate our individual needs and requests. Such a peaceful setting and immaculately maintained cottage. We loved our Braii and breakfast baskets. Just wished we could have stayed longer.

The Hacienda is the perfect place to unwind, braai and gaze at an incredible views for a few days. We got unlucky with the weather as it rained for half our time there, so if you are visiting in winter definitely take food that doesn’t need to be bbq’d or cooked in an oven and some games - definitely somewhere I would want to come back to in the summer! Fantastic stay over Easter at this beautiful house with stunning views 😍 Everything exactly as described and easy to check in. The deck and garden seating with beautiful and comfy lovely cushions, made for a great spot to relax outside. Inside the rooms were lovely too, so would recommend this house to others and look forward to returning ourselves one day too.

The home is a rare gem giving a glimpse of life of the well to do families in a bygone era. We felt very privileged being able to spend a wonderful weekend with loved ones in such a special home. Thank you!!

Eugene and Suzette couldn't have been better hosts; their greeting was warm with fresh bread and wine on arrival, any queries were immediately answered and they made us feel v welcome. The view is spectacular, I really can't say enough about how peaceful it is but still only 20mins to Tulbagh and wine farms. Home is sizable and ideal for a group, especially for cooking and just hanging out. Only tip is to ensure you're driving a bakkie and are prepped for the dirt road, but it's well worth it!

Peaceful with awesome views. We had a busy weekend but relaxing on the Monday was great. Well laid out for communal entertaining as well as privacy if you want to sit and read on the veranda with a view of the dam and mountains.

Our family group of 12 had a fantastic weekend at Toad Hall, and it’s the perfect place for a large group. Right in the heart of Greyton, and with a great kitchen, pool and hot tub deck for social gatherings, while each room is private, comfortable and with nice bathrooms. Lisa was an excellent host, and communicated proactively throughout our booking process and visit.

Such a beautiful place. An awesome setting. The property is very well maintained. All necessary equipment or requirements fully met. Had a close encounter with a snake, which is not unexpected in the mountains. Flies a little troublesome. Again, not unexpected. Lovely pool. Would love to return in winter. Big fireplace. Would be an excellent place to write a book.
